Was very easy and smooth experience. Great communication through both text and email notifications so I awalys knew what was going on in the process of the rollover.

Capitalize facilitated a rollover from my 401k accounts to an IRA. The process required me to complete forms and submit them, as well as providing verbal authorization to the Fund Manager. The Capitalize associate communicated clearly with me and supported me by arranging a phone meeting with the appropriate contact at the Fund Management firm. They provided updates on the process, responded to my inquiries promptly and provided navigation of a complex process efficiently and successfully.

I’ve rolled my 401k multiple times and let me tell you something Rolling a 401k can be very difficult and worrisome, especially because doing it yourself right may require to fax someone or send a certified mail. With Capitalize it was just a few a clicks.

The process took far too long. Despite the rollover happening between to digital-only institutions, I was forced to rely on snail-mail for the entire process.
The worst part was halfway through the process I received an email from SoFi claiming that they had not yet received my check in the mail. This was four days after Capitalize had notified me that the check had been delivered, backed up by USPS tracking. When I contacted Customer Service for both companies neither could give me any definitive answer as to where my check was or what the problem was. Both responses were 'just wait longer'.
