I’ll be honest—there were a few hiccups along the way… but let’s just say those belonged firmly in the “solicitors being solicitors” category.

Through all of that, she was an absolute superstar. Her communication was spot on (weekly updates like clockwork—honestly more consistent than my sleep schedule), and she somehow managed to combine empathy, compassion, and actual efficiency… which I’m pretty sure is a rare and powerful skill set.

She genuinely cared, kept me in the loop the whole time, and somehow made a stressful situation feel manageable—borderline humane, even. At several points I was convinced I’d come out of this talking to myself in the mirror, but thanks to her, I’ve made it out the other side with my sanity (mostly) intact.

In short: amazing, supportive, and possibly part magician. I couldn’t have done it without her—and I sincerely hope she never decides to change careers, because the world (and my blood pressure) needs more people like her.

It's currently very early stages in my purchase, but I would like to say that two of the Homemade Homes staff have been amazing - Lucy and Mubasher, who have been responsive and helpful over phone and email.

It's a shame that Homemade Homes don't allow you to purchase any minor optional changes to the property spec (especially since mine won't be ready for another 6 months at least).

My only real gripe, is that I took their recommendation to use PLS as my conveyancer, and I'm far from impressed so far... but that'll be a story for a different Trustpilot review, depending on how things go.

Absolutely disgraceful customer service.

I was offered a shared ownership property. I was (buy their own policy definition),the first fully verified eligible applicant, meeting every single criteria required. The property was mine by their own published policy.

They then breached that policy without hesitation, reversing the decision in favour of an applicant who had not completed the required verification at the point the offer was made to me.

First come, first served: their words, not mine.

They just chose not to follow it.

When I raised this, the member of staff I had been dealing with went completely silent. No response, no explanation, no accountability. If you raise legitimate concerns that threaten their decisions, Homemade Homes will simply ignore you and hope you go away.

I didn’t. I won’t.

Fortunately I have fantastic solicitors through my union in the NHS who have described this as a slam dunk.

Litigation incoming!

Apparently even their own published policy means nothing to this organisation.

If I could rate 0 stars I absolutely would. Never been helpful. Never been very good at communicating. Constantly up service charge but what this even helps with I do not know.

We are at the end of our selling process and all they have done is make the process as DIFFICULT as possible. Extremely unorganised and poor at responding. Incompetent comes to mind. Even our solicitor has said they have never done anything right from the start and he is lost for words at how poor they are. I would never ever recommend them to anyone, I really wish I had never gone with them. Honestly wish luck to anyone dealing with them.

Please be aware that the majority of positive reviews for this company are from people who haven’t yet experienced the non-existent aftercare. Homemade homes send out review invitations as soon as you’ve reserved your property as if that’s the end of the process. I encourage buyers to wait until they’ve moved into the property before reviewing. I have been trying to get multiple defects corrected for over three months. I get told I’m on a 28 day ticket only for nothing to happen. So I contact the ‘aftercare’ team again, (and be aware that every email takes five days to get a response) then I’m told they will chase the developer (I’ve had this multiple times for the same defect). I’m now told that a defect with my kitchen window isn’t covered by the developer’s warranty. No explanation as to why. The glass is faulty and needs fixing. I didn’t get this house for free! I worked hard for it. Surely I’m entitled to want my new home to be perfect when I move into it? Get your act together Homemade Homes.

I’ve had an excellent experience with this housing association. Their communication has been consistently clear, friendly, and prompt—whether by email or phone, they always made sure I had the information I needed. Anytime I had a question or needed support, the team was incredibly helpful and patient, going out of their way to make the whole process smooth and stress-free.

Absolutely would not recommend.

We bought our first home with Homemade Homes and were so excited to move in. We had such a long day with the movers, and just wanted to get clean and order some food. Whilst the shower was in use, we had a massive leak come through our living room ceiling.
We called the emergency number who couldn't care less and asked if it was really an emergency and could we not contain it ourselves, after some time and several phone calls they said someone would be out in the next 6 hours.. we ended up having several plumbers attend over the following months and several holes made in the ceiling to finally find out the waste cap pipe was never fitted and no one had checked this before sign off.
We did not have access to the bath or shower during this time, they advised it would be on a 28 day ticket and when I advised this was an emergency as we had no bath or shower, I was told to boil the kettle and bathe in the kitchen sink.

We have a list of over 100 issues from minor to major which have still not been actioned, we were lied to about several aspects of the house we bought, when we mentioned these to Accent/Allison they couldn't care less and said tough you get what you get.
The garden slopes massively from the top and is up and down, uneven all over so there is nowhere for our furniture or a shed to go, we will have to spend thousands on getting this sorted which you do not expect to be an issue when purchasing a new build.
You can not use the loft, which was not advised to us before purchase, again another cost to have this converted.
The cupboard space they boast about in their advertisement videos is less than half the size shown. Again, when complained about, we were told tough.
So now we have no storage space whatsoever.

We have had nothing but stress and anguish since day 1 of moving in, sent hundreds of emails to aftercare and spent hours on the phone to try and get our new home put to the standard it should have been in the first place, we feel like this is going to go on for years as it has already been 6 months with a small percentage of the issues being looked into.

Everyone who works there does not care, no apologies, and no compensation.

The houses are low standard, quick builds that are not checked properly, they are overpriced and sold with many, many lies and with zero care from anyone that works for these companies.
They have absolutely ruined what should have been a lovely memory on the achievement of buying our first home, completely tarnished by incompetence.

Warning and advice: never, ever buy from them!!

Was an easy process, every step was explained and the support was excellent.
After finding a house I wanted to buy and contacting Homemade homes. I was given a lovely lady who talked me through the process and kept me updated.

Lucy has been amazing! Can’t recommend enough- she has been so patient and understanding with us and has explained every stage so perfectly we never felt out the loop or lost at all. She is one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met and is genuinely a lovely person who is terrific at her job! Thank you again

We dealt mostly with Charlotte and Ashley. They were both incredible patient and understanding with us from the start when we had a hundred questions for them and was suffering with anxiety throughout the process they was always available at the end of an email to calm our nerves and provide answers to any questions we had.

No question was ever regarded as silly and an answer was always given. They was always available at the end of the phone or an email. Any queries where answered quickly and all relevant paperwork was always provided to us when we enquired.

I could not recommend the team enough.
