I ordered a cabinet and there was plenty of stock, waited 3 months for it to arrive, followed it up with the company because I could see on line they were sold out and said I hoped mine had been shipped before they ran out. I got a short message sometime later, telling me they were refunding me as they had sold out.

I brought a shoe cupboard from Home on Swan, when it arrived it was all flat packed which is ok, the trouble was it was made of chipboard the cheapest of cheap, where I paid well over $700 . It was not worth the money when I complained they fobbed me off with read the fine print. No way was this value for money I could have brought the same item for a third of the cost.

We had to wait for months to get our chairs and had to constantly chase them up. It was very frustrating considering they were supposed to arrive in 10 days when we put the order in.

This company sells defective products. They are a sham and rip customers off. Be warned. They don't return calls. They don't even have a customer service department to get help.

After looking for a good price for a light fixture for our dining table, searched and stumbled upon Home on the Swan. After reading mixed reviews, decided to order, and hope for the best. I was pleasantly suprised when the delivery came quicker than I expected, with no issues at all. I would recommend anyone looking for great prices on products that other retailers are selling at higher prices to give Home on the Swan a go. Thanks Guys!

this company seems like a scam. they take your money and apparently send it with some dodgy carrier. They can not tell you where the goods are and the tracking number is bogus!

Items ordered a month ago and have not been shipped. Trying to get any information is impossible. I have had only had automated responses as well downright lies about my item shipping." If you read this review and still order don't say you weren't warned!

Deceptive advertising. Do not buy from here. Website is misleading, not Australian products - they simply onsell cheap furniture for twice the price while making it look expensive. Hope no one else gets scammed by this. The offshore customer service is also challenging to deal with.

A very unhappy experience dealing with this company.
They sent the wrong product and were totally unable to arrange return postage on the item. They procrastinated for weeks, wanting photos of the product showing differences to what I ordered. They even mocked up an invoice to show its what I ordered. I sent them the original order that clearly showed their error.
They then said they would refund the amount on the sale, all I had to do was send it back to them, at my own expense! I filled them in on the consumer laws in Australia and they replied they were having some computer trouble and they would get on to it without further delay. Weeks went by, no word and no response to my emails. I'd say they work out of a garage somewhere and place orders with warehouses that have no option to handle returns.
Avoid doing business with this company, they have no integrity what so ever.

great service and delivery although i wish someone told me that goose down doonahs are like wrapping yourself in foil and putting yoirself in an oven i had to cut holes in it so i dont cook and now theres feathers everywhere like everywhere could have been avioded if i knew?

We ordered two wardrobes and a dressing table stool (circa $1,500).

I'll start with a couple of positives, before demonstrating how you should not order from this company.

They delivered on time and responded quickly my initial email regarding product damage on delivery- sorry that's all I could find....

(1) One of the products arrived damage. Significant damage to one corner of the box that impacted several panels of the wardrobe.
(2) There was no notification of the delivery via the app. The delivery driver just stacked the boxes on the drive which were left for hours - these are big boxes that were left to the elements, luckily didn't rain (or were stolen - I think?). They didn't knock either, I was home.
(3) No protective packing is included with their packaging - it's just outer carboard, straight to product/wood.
(4) After sending photos (incl. CCTV evidence that the product had arrived damaged) Home on the Swan offered the following options:
(i) $35 dollar refund (yes, thirty five), or
(ii) Sent through a product replacement sheet for me to work out what was damaged so they could re-issue the affected panels.
.....Problem is all the panels are damaged - it is certainly not 'solid' pine as advertised....!
(5) I subsequently issued several emails requesting that Home on the Swan either (a) pick up both wardrobes and provide a full refund - as they both match, or (b) provide a replacement for the single wardrobe.
(6) Fast forward several emails and all they have committed to is 'picking up the damaged product'. They will not confirm whether they will refund or replace, despite direct requests for this information - just keep sending me the same 'copy and paste' email - which they have now issued twice. I've given up at this stage dealing direct with Home on the Swan, it's pointless.

Also, they have a 'Melbourne' landline number that 'is not for customer service' - refer their website. No one ever picks up. Therefore, if you have any issues - you cannot speak to anyone and their (so-called) customer service (via email only) is only active during the night, obviously no-one based here in Australia to assist.

Over the weekend I have opened the other wardrobe (the double). Both wardrobes have hardly any pilot holes drilled, 50% of the holes require (pilot) drilling yourself, you will also have to drill and hang the hinges yourself - which is ludicrous! Also, none of the panels have stickers stating which panels they are as per the instructions (there are many panels!). Also the double wardrobe has clear 'factory damage' and a long hairline split down one panel. Paintwork is extremely poor too. If it was one wardrobe, maybe you could assume it's just dodgy one and I was unlucky, but two??

Maybe I was just unlucky with the poor quality of both products, the poor delivery, the damage, the lack of protective packaging, the customer service, the lack of a refund, or replacement offer, but I somehow doubt it......

I tried my best, but next stop ACCC.

Never received a tracking number, received item and it was damaged, draws are different sizes and don’t align. Definitely could’ve paid less and got one from Kmart and have better quality

Same experience as all of the other 1 star reviews, Home on the Swan is in the business of ripping people off. He'll put some fake 5 star reviews up once this is posted to cover his tracks. Honestly there should be someone looking into the activities of this business

I ordered a hall stand and a completely different colour and pattern was sent. Not only that, but is faulty as it's extremely warped! They have "sent" a courier to pick it up and 5 times they were a no show! They cannot replace it with the colour and pattern I ordered, and I can't get a refund until I get a receipt from their non existent courier! It's a scam! Don't buy from these people.
