As a family we absolutely LOVE the potion kits! Our daughter has non-verbal autism and learning difficulties, she usually gets bored of activities after about 10 or 15 minutes but she will literally sit and play for hours on end with these and she has learned so many skills from her play 🙂 honestly they are so valuable to us!

Beautiful products that both kids love (we got the gingerbread kit for christmas). It’s not as cheap as some bathbombs but the effect is much better. Also great customer service as the operations manager kindly expedited my delivery as one of the sets was for a family friend.

Very late delivery and poor comms but WONDERFUL BEAUTIFUL products. Will order again. can’t fault the products. Very unique. Amazing downtime for kids. Hard to get kiddo out of the bath!!!

I was initially worried as my items were delayed but I rang up and spoke to a lady who was just so lovely and assured me they would be there in time for christmas and if I didnt want to take the risk offered me different options. I stuck with it and it arrived with plenty of time!

The box is great the marketing is great. The inside of the box is cheap bog standard bath salts thst do absolutely nothing more than a £2 bath bomb would do. Embarrassed to gift.

I ordered bath rocks from Hooded Owls and unlike previous deliveries the tub had a large portion of the rocks damaged so it was full of dust.

On raising this to customer support, their response was it will still fizz in the bath. Disappointing purchase and initial customer service, however I have since received a new tub which was like previous products received.

Very expensive for what it is. I thought the mixes would actually do something special but when they arrived I realised it’s literally bath salts and crushed up bath bombs. The little ones enjoyed the experience but I wouldn’t order again. I could pop to the high street and literally make my own kit and they’d enjoy it equally as much. I also had to buy 8 plastic pots to decant the products into to stop them using the whole bags in one go. They made a few colours and fizzes with the mixes but nothing spectacular and every potion quickly became a brown murky mess. I spent £50 on a refillable kit. 2 cauldrons and a science lab style thing. That’s a lot for what you get. I feel like I paid for the novelty.

It’s not possible to leave a zero star rating otherwise I would. They use Royal Mail (though the Parcel Force depot in my nearest city - 40 miles away) which provide a six hour window for potential delivery. Despite me advising them to leave with a neighbour (always someone at home) they have failed to deliver for more than a week. When contacting Hooded Owls, the response was ‘not our fault, not our problem’ and they advised waiting for PF to return the parcel to them when they would use the same procedure to try and redeliver! I have no product and am minus £50 so, unless you’re prepared to take pot luck on delivery, I would advise purchase elsewhere.
UPDATE - response from them…
Unfortunately, once we dispatch the orders to Royal Mail, we have no visibility of delivery instructions from our side. I have also tried to find a way to contact them again regarding the delivery instructions but had no success. As the parcel is still in transit, we are unable to offer a refund or send out a replacement right now.

I checked with a legal colleague - the owness is absolutely on the retailer as my contract is with them. Appalling lack of customer service!

I bought this for my 5 year old son and it's one thing he goes back to regularly and captures his attention. He loves seeing the potions fizz and sizzle and making different mixes each time. I love how natural the ingredients are for him. Great product!

Such a brilliant idea! Bought this for my 8 year old as a birthday present. Was worried she might be a little old for it but she absolutely loves making potions!

Was so excited for my little boy to receive the potion kit for Christmas and whilst he had some enjoyment initially, I was so underwhelmed. I was expecting as described big bursts of colours but essentially every potion he made just turned into grey water with a few flecks of colour. The rice I’m confused about as surely that will end up clogging the drain, the rose petals didn’t smell of anything or add any colour to the potion & I just felt the price point is way to high.

Products are good and arrived in quick time however despite contacting the advertised order query email address to ask for my order to go to my new address (we moved recently, some cards unfortunately pick up old address); nobody ever got back to me or acknowledged my mail which is poor customer service in my opinion.

Beautiful towels have brought 5 in total all different sizes. Fabulous quality can highly recommend my grandkids absolutely love them 😍 most recent #18308

Ordered a month ago.....still waiting.....even though Hooded Owls told me a second towel was dispatched a week ago!
Nobody ever answers the phone or calls back

Bought the shark bubble bath and bath set, they are very good quality, the idea and fun to use them, especially the shark bites are so good and the whole set made a lovely Christmas present and smell divine. Highly recommend and are worth the price. Can’t wait to purchase more. Thanks again

I’ve had a towel for my daughter for 2 years & it’s just amazing! Washes so well & hasn’t lost colour despite a weekly wash.
