Terrible back then. Even worse now

Was a customer many years back.

See I forgot one domain behind.

Will move it away asap.

Payment gateways do not work. Paypal not available. Payfast says that I need to pay for an invoice before I can add a card which is what I am trying to do.

Then they bill vat as a line item instead of at the bottom of the invoice (After the fact. Original invoice does not have VAT added to it)

Very unprofessional. Fail to see how they are still in business with their dodgy ways and lack of testing before deploying

Hi Anthony, Not sure why you state payment gateways do not work as we get payments daily and have thousands of customers using them across the globe. If you look at our other reviews and our rating we are doing exceptionally well and growing nicely. We understand we cannot please everyone especially the bigger we grow so we thank you for your comments and will strive to improve where we need to in the points you mention. We are also not the only host not offering Paypal, most do not due to Fraud and other issues related to it. This is why we went for Stripe which is one of the largest if not the best payment provider available. VAT is applicable to only certain countries. I see you are from South Africa so yes it is applicable there. The invoices related to that country we will look into. Thanks for your points.

Great support team! Kudos to Johan for resolving an issue I've had with my emails for the past week. I will definitely recommend Hostking for hosting your websites.

Johan helped me tonight with an email problem that was quite difficult to sort out. He was excellent and professional. The support received was amazing. An asset to his company. Thank you again Johan.

Extremely disappointed with Hostking's customer service

I have experienced unacceptably long response times to my support tickets, and on several occasions, they have not responded at all. This lack of support is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.

*Update: Ticket (request to cancel Free host package) was sent on 12/07/2024 18:26 (GMT+7) but until now (14/07/2024), It was not resolved!

Another opinion is that instead of commenting, they should process customer ticket first, then respond to customer comments on other platforms, which is really unprofessional action of them!

Hi, Sorry to hear about your experience. We usually respond to tickets within a few hours for more urgent issues live chat should always be used. Will get a consultant to investigate as I see we only have 3 tickets left in queue this morning. Also we notice the only customer with your name on our system is a Free Hosting user. Kindly note Free Hosting customers get limited support.
