Using this app to record the visitors at my website. Unfortunately, most of the sessions are not recorded, whatever the settings are saved.. Moved to another provider recently and will try HotJar again in the future if these issues will be fixed.

Maybe I need to try the other companies to compare but our team loves it. It has helped us tweak a few things to better our conversions. Still using the trial version. No issues. We’ve been using it for about 6 months now. To each his own but we love it.

Very limited trial period with them. Software is bogus. Crazy Egg is way better and also FullStory. It seems they are trying to compete in a market where there are tons of other better players. I have also noticed that the browser is really slow when I have used Hotjar vs when I used Crazy Egg. I am currently using CrazyEgg and love it. Hotjar initially thought that there were no competitors in the market when they were founded except for Google Analytics.

Condescending patronizing attitudes, …rude and ill-mannered staff.

Very poor customer service and sales team. If you are looking for an enterprise agreement, Hotjar does not allow you to trial their service. I've been going around in circles with the support team for a week now. As a customer for 7 years, I've reached the end of my tether with them following other poor support cases and a number of system outages.

Not impressed with their free trial. Seems to only give you access to a few features

Good service But their free trial is very limited

In comparison to fullstory, it has better UX and more features.
But its pricing is high, especially for starters.
It will be better if it can give more recording in the trial.

Great software, only thing that could be improved is they quality and smoothness of the mouse movement in recordings

Great service with multiple features, but website load speed increases too much

I've just installed the tool into my WebShop and reviewing customer interaction I can see places where the customer struggles, in my case the DropDown menu root element is not clickable, and have to click on the sub item, I can see customers abandoning the shop as they don't know that they have to click on the sub menu. This fix will obviously increase the conversion of the website. I love this tool already.

My experience with Hotjar has been smoothsailing. Unlike other SaaS, I feel I am getting great value out of Hotjar.

They erased 1 year of recordings, they removed all my settings & setups, they toke all the money, they are definitely not recommended to any professional business or agency. Very slow & unprofessional support, they simply don't know their product.

They will take your money, your effort & nothing will return. they will leave you with real loses and they don't care about you.

Pretty good service! The new features such as forms is pretty sleak.

Great tool and quite easy to setup up. A lot of nice features are available. I personally use heatmaps and polls
