Feel scammed by the cost to fix the fridge (which was only a couple of weeks outside of warranty). £149 for an engineer to turn up and say the pipe was a bit higher than it should be (which warped the casing due to dripping). He pulled the pipe down and left, used live chat to see if I could get a reduction in the fee as no parts were used - live chat very unresponsive. I certainly won’t be using these charlatans again - find a local tradesperson and save yourself the money!

The worst customer experience I’ve ever experienced. They made appointments, 3 times never turned up, countless more when they couldn’t fix it. Hotpoint fitter fitted screws to large that penitrated dishwasher door, then screamed ant me through ring door bell and said it was already like that. Engineer broke the leg off my new dishwasher and left it on a wooden block over Christmas. And hotpoint take no responsibility for their appalling serve! NEVER EVER buy from

I paid for my washing machine to be…

I paid for my washing machine to be plumbed in and the old one to be taken away. My new washing machine took 6 hours to do the quick cycle and I had to move the program on myself to get the cycle to stop and spin. I eventually booked an engineer through a torturous process of WhatsApp messages that took over 4 hours because I couldn't find a date online. The engineer came out, could not replicate the fault and suggested that I was loading it incorrectly. I tried again and the same thing happened. I repeated the torturous booking process again. A different engineer came out and fixed the problem in 5 minutes ... the machine had been incorrectly installed by the Hotpoint engineer and the 2nd engineer hadn't spotted this. My machine works beautifully now. I have tried to find a way to put my complaint in writing to Hotpoint but cannot do so and so I am trying Trustpilot. I am annoyed because I paid for the installation. Clothes have been ruined, more electricity has been used than should have been and more water has been wasted.

Absolutely amazing

Absolutely amazing, I managed to book my repair in 2 minutes on the phone, waited for an engineer for 6 days. My washing machine was fixed in 10 minutes. Thanks Paul. No issues at all.

the worst service I've ever paid for

the worst service I've ever paid for. Four appointments booked and then cancelled on the day. Been waiting for a month to get my dishwasher fixed and the customer service is awful. DO NOT SIGN UP TO THEIR REPAIR AND CARE SERVICE!!!!

Worst products ever and terrible customer service

Bought a washer in December which we found out was factory faulty. Unfortunately due to Xmas holidays we didn’t contact the company until after the 30 day period for an exchange. It’s now March and we’ve had 3 visits from engineers who have each time done nothing and we still have a faulty machine which we can’t use. A terrible company - don’t be roped in by cheap cost products as it will cost you in the long run

Would give zero stars of possible. No washer dryer since January (now march) multiple cancelled appointments as ‘parts not arrived’ just keep rebooking and delaying.

This deserves a 0. Hotpoint are absolutely dreadful ..called them about a dishwasher that I bought 2 months ago...all the stainless steel peeling off...they said not their problem. She refused to even log the call for me and wouldn't pass onto anyone to look into. Definitely never buying any of their products ever again...stay away...disgusting patronising staff who don't care.

The Customer Service is Absolutely…APPAULING

The Customer Service is Absolutely shocking does not deserve one * but should be 0. Go elsewhere for your Products been a nightmare to get Dish Washer repair taken 2 months still not fixed now out of Warrenty engineer fixed yesterday still does not work so going to dump it and get new one .

BEWARE OF MISLEADING INSTALLATION INFORMATION.
If replacing a different integrated product, Hotpoint charge a higher installation cost plus the integrated door would not be refitted. Wording has now been changed slightly on the Company website since we purchased our product (admission of fault?). Customer Services very unhelpful and do not answer points raised and curt in their response. We were changed £115 for the installer to remove old appliance, push new one into place, connect electric plug and water hose. Extortionate! We then had further expense if finding a kitchen fitter to refit the unit door. Unable to take further as Hotpoint (Beko) are not part of an ADR Scheme.

I don't even know where to begin but I…

I don't even know where to begin but I will begin anyhow. I've waited for 2 weeks to get a cooker delivered from hotpoint and its been an utter disgrace because after waiting so long and paying for installation, the cooker wasnt installed in a safe manner. The engineer came with the cooker, installed it without a safety chain. I mean is that not a safety requirement that all engineers should adhere to and especially since i have kids this did not sit well with me. So i called them to report this and theu took the call all around the world and still my report was not solved that the installation was not done properly and so my cooker that was delivered today is still not safe because it doesnt have a safety chain attached to it and im not happy at all. The customer service kept asking the same question over and over again. For a company that should have many years of service under their belt this sure is a let down.

I have purchased a new service contract…

I have purchased a new service contract and was assured fixing device within 2 days. But got my first Engineer appointment on 7th day. All complaines and model number was already provided in advance. This person had no clue about the complained and started asking me, explained again. Now he said he wants to order some parts. Again waited for 7days for the next Engineer for fixing it. He drove 1hr to reach this place, so he say. Again no clue what the job is and what parts are needed for the job. Said main parts was not ordered. Again want to place order and wait for further 7days for this parts to arrive. Now i got a call from customer care saying if im not happy i can cancel the contract or wait for their availability.
Told over the phone all parts needed now are available and i agreed to wait for 5more days. Got email notification next appointment will be again on 7th day.
Soon got another email saying parts are not available and will let me know when they are available.
Waised my days and stocks for them to service.

I have a hotpoint washing machine and I…

I have a hotpoint washing machine and I have been paying insurance on it for 16 years thinking we'll when it breaks I will get a new one but its been broken many times so today the guy told me to cancel the insurance because I will never get a new one because hotpoint will always fix it as they get charged if it's wrote off...my machine is 16 and keeps breaking every couple of month and starting to smell....I would stay clear from them

Disrespectful Attitude

From when the technician arrived he did nothing but complain trying to tell me and my wife how to do things talking down to both of us. He contradicted the instructions on the washing machine and how to use it. His attitude was disrespectful very poor.

Care Team? I don't think so!

My Hotpoint fridge freezer has stopped working. The power was connected, the lights were on, but everything defrosted. I wanted to know if it a fix was possible. Impossible to get a straight answer. Walter, the AI, has prescribed questions and so I said I wanted to speak to a human. I eventually got a message only to be asked irrelevant questions (had it been repaired, did I have a warranty). To arrange a call back from the repair and care team would involve answering a multitude of questions (some of which I couldn't answer).
Why do companies continue to make life so difficult for customers. I wanted to speak to someone who could advise me if a repair was feasible, but object to having to supply so much info (mobile, land line, full address, email address). I didn't have a warranty but don't see why this should influence the answer to my question

Dreadful from start to finish

Dreadful from start to finish. I phoned up to get an oven seal and they said they needed a model number and where to find it.
Looked where they said. no model number, phoned back and they said in must be on the back of the oven which is built in.
Removed the oven, there was a label with lots of numbers but none saying model number.
Phoned back and they said they couldnt help without a model number. They transferred me to a "cooker expert" who charged me £30 to tell me which of the numbers on the label was the model number.
So:
Gold medal for pig ignorance of not knowing where the Model numbers are on their own ovens.
Gold medal for stupidity of putting the model number on the back of a fitted oven.
Gold medal for incompetence of having a Model number label which doesnt actually say which is the Model number.
Platinum Medal for rip-off merchants for charging me £30 to get someone to read their own service manuals. (I would have a small wager that they get comission from that.).
Points for improvement:
Put the model number on the front (as you initially said it was). IQ required 1
Have it say "Model No: xxxxx". IQ required 1
Train your staff to ask what numbers it does have and be able to say which one is the model number. IQ required 1.
Dont get rip-off merchants to read your manuals for you, just honesty required.

Customer service is non existent - unless you want to pay them for it

All I wanted was advice on how to turn off the auto open feature on a dishwasher of theirs, as the instructions in the manual haven’t helped - even though there is a specific section referring to doing this.

But they won’t offer any advice, EVEN THOUGH ITS THEIR PRODUCT, unless you have paid for extended warranties.

Shocking customer service.

Absolute rubbish! Always had Hotpoint washing machines and fridge freezers and none have lasted more than 7 years. I’ve had a washing machine, single person household, last only 6

Complaints only handled internally with no reply to customers processed. Handoff to D&G terrible!! Miss-selling!!! Engineers don't arrive and blame it on customer being out - causing customer to miss 4x shifts. Complaint to D&G - customer called a liar and asked to prove that they were in when customer on with Hotpoint and D&G at the very time engineer supposed to be at the door finding no one in!!!

I am re-installing a Hotpoint…

I am re-installing a Hotpoint dishwasher, needed to know if it should be a cold or hot water feed and couldn't find a definitive answer from Hotpoint's online manuals or other online sources. After searching again the pretty useless Hotpoint site (their installation video is utterly simplistic and only covers the fitting of the integrated door and sliding it into the cabinet) I called Hotpoint UK and was told by an obviously untrained customer support (he was Googling for answers) that as I don't have an in date warranty they would not answer the very simple question whether it should be cold or hot water feed or any other questions at all.

Technical advice is not available and neither could I speak to a manager. Absolutely ridiculously poor customer support, I will never, ever buy Hotpoint again and I'm about to equip three kitchens! Good riddance to very poor company, I strongly advise you not to buy Hotpoint!
