I am extremely disappointed with my experience with House of CB.

I purchased a £200 dress which developed a serious fault after just one wear — the corset boning pushed through the fabric, leaving visible holes. This is completely unacceptable for a garment at this price point and clearly indicates poor quality.

I returned the item and, despite it being faulty, was refused a refund simply because it had been worn once. Instead, I was told it would be “repaired.” I also had to pay for return postage myself, which is unreasonable for a defective item.

When the dress was sent back to me, the so-called repair had not been carried out properly — the damage was still there and the dress remains unwearable. It feels like the item wasn’t fixed at all.

Customer service has been dismissive and unwilling to take proper responsibility, hiding behind their returns policy rather than acknowledging their obligations when selling faulty goods.

For a brand that positions itself as premium, both the product quality and aftercare have been incredibly poor. I would strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing.

The outfit was needed for a wedding. We wanted to order express delivery, but there was no such option. Since it was supposed to be shipped from the UK, we expected it to arrive within 2–3 working days. However, we later learned through a customs email that the dress was actually coming from the Philippines.

To enter Europe, a lot of customs documents were required. This process was difficult and took several working days, and afterwards UPS was unable to properly schedule the delivery. The webshop should clearly state that the purchased item is shipped from the Philippines.

We also started to question the quality of a garment coming from the Philippines. All the stress we experienced was for nothing. I will not be buying anything from this site again.

sizes in store different to ordered

I tried a dress in on store, a small, and ordered it to my house. It arrived the same dress and size I tried on, but was way too small.
I exchanged for a medium but I had to pay £10 for fast delivery. The medium was too big on the bust.
I contacted CB CS but they refused to help, they said they'd check the size I sent back was standard issue but they never replied about it.
I have since had to get the medium altered to fit.
Lovely dresses but the fit is awful, even if you try it on, apparently they stretch so much they become another size!

I ordered an expensive corset top from House of CB. Within ten minutes of wearing it, the seams were unraveling and the boning was poking out in several places. It was unwearable. I contacted the business and sent the corset back, requesting a refund. The business emailed me that they would be shipping a replacement and I responded immediately and said I wanted a refund. The clothing is clearly of terrible quality and I have no interest in receiving another cheaply made item. They responded and said that because I had worn the item (yes, for ten minutes before it fell apart), I could only get a replacement. Customers should be able to return defective, cheap merchandise.

AWFUL!! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY

Would give ZERO stars if it was an option. The dress I ordered was $300 (free shipping), I received the dress with a hole and multiple stains. The only resolution offered was for me to pay to send the dress back for them to inspect with a chance of getting a $25 credit. Zero help from customer service after emailing for over 2 weeks back and forth. This place is a SCAM please save yourself the hassle and buy from a reputable dress shop. They know they are a garbage company since they have disabled Google reviews and offer no reviews on their direct website

I’m disgusted with customer service

I’m disgusted with customer service . Bought a dress took label / ribbon off as it fitted well and went to the occasion and in the back of dress the label 🏷️ inside had been so over stitched so it showed on the outside of dress and it was only then when it was pointed out to me that I was aware as I had not noticed !So sent in email to be told they couldn’t see the issue and to pay £20 to post it back so they could check . I’m not paying £20 to post a faulty good back to them that they are already disputing that hardly fills me with confidence that they will rectify this !!! This is the FIRST and LAST time I buy an expensive faulty dress from this company . I wish I could post the pictures of the over stitching label on the back of this dress it’s the pink bandage dress 🤯

Mouldy damp clothing sold *WARNING*

Heads up, this company sells mouldy clothes. I guess the influencers will never have this problem but as a peasant, we don't get the same courtesy. Ordered two Jacinda velvet tops and as soon as I opened my package, the reek of mould and damp hit me like a truck. Returned top for "inspection" and asked for the same top, just one that isn't a biohazard risk, y'know? Had to pay for return shipping, get the replacement top and... exact same issue, as if the inspection wasn't actually done, surprise surprise. Threw the top away as there's no way I'm even minimally risking issues with mould spores. Customer service is trying to brush me off and most likely I will stop getting responses but this is INSANELY UNACCEPTABLE. Do *NOT* recommend this company to anyone, wish I'd looked on TrustPilot before I'd placed my order.

Received dress damaged

Received dress damaged , sent back to be fixed and was returned in a worse condition . They will not refund , I am now in the process of reversing my payment and going to trading standards. Please be wary when purchasing from this company .
Looking at past negative reviews on here , I find it alarming that the company has not responded to its customers with some sort of resolution or explanation !

Amazing dress at the front. Shambles at the back

Ordered 3 wedding dresses.. thought I’d found the ONE.. perfect at the front, everything I wanted , but the back is a shambles! The dress in question is the ‘Esmee’.. The way the underskirt has been sewn together meant that when the top layer was placed over it rippled over my bum, as the sewn together excess fabric was ruffled.. not flattering at all & such a shame as the dress is amazing! I spoke to House of CB via messenger who were fine, albeit slow replies, they advised this is the way the dress is made, however considering the price of the dress I don’t think that’s acceptable.. no offer of a resolution to the dress or that they’d raise it with their manufacturers , which would definitely be a recommendation. Avoid the Esmee dress

I don’t really understand all the negative reviews. Their return policy makes complete sense to me, and they are very upfront about it. You pay for returns for any reason, whether it’s a sizing issue, a defect, or simply changing your mind, and that is clearly stated.
While I do agree that their sizing runs a bit off (which is why I returned one item), I knew I would be responsible for the return cost. I ordered several bridal dresses from them, and the quality was absolutely exceptional. In the end, I kept the one I liked the most and was very happy with it. Money reached me in less than 2 days after return processed.

I’m very disappointed with my experience.

I ordered a dress in size S, which according to the size chart on the website should have at least 86 cm in the bust. However, the actual measurement was only 72 cm, which is completely incorrect and made the dress unwearable.

I contacted customer service about this issue. I received one reply asking me to provide my measurements so they could help choose the right size. However, if the sizing had been accurate as stated on the website, the dress would have fit perfectly. After that, I did not receive any response to my follow-up emails.

On top of that, I paid £40 for shipping and returning the dress, which I believe is unacceptable in a situation where the item does not match the description. The company should cover these costs.

I also visited the London store, where the staff member told me they had no information about my order and advised me to call customer service. Unfortunately, despite calling multiple times over the past week, no one has answered.

Overall, this has been a very frustrating experience due to incorrect sizing, lack of communication, and poor customer service.

Good experience for me!

I bought from House of CB before seeing the bad reviews here so I was a little nervous when I ordered! However my experience was very good, so I wanted to reassure anyone that might order from them. I bought a dress, and it was a little too small for me but it was beautiful so I went through the returns process. I will say I think the dresses run slightly small compared to the measurements on the size and L+ still seems a little small. I'm a UK Size 12. Anyway I returned the dress, I had to do so at my own expense which is outlined on the website, I contacted the customer service team to let them know I planned to return it and they responded promptly. The return was processed quickly and I was sent the bigger size in a few days. It fit really well because there is a corset back on the dress which helped the fit. The straps were a tiny bit long on me so they fell down but I put them in place with fashion tape and that worked perfectly. If you have a bigger bust you'll likely need a bigger size. The dress itself seemed well made, a nice cotton with lining and a structured bodice, also yay for pockets. I got a lot of compliments on the dress! Thanks~

horrible quality. The OG Bandage dress in gold got damaged (material started peeling) from just sitting down on a smooth leather seat for under 3hours.

Team Solved Issues With Delivery

There were issues with delivery in my local country, but the houseofcb team did their best to help, including redelivering my package to a different address. The service was prompt and very helpful.

Poor quality and terrible slow customer service in breach of UK regulations

The quality of the dresses and the customer service are both appalling. I ordered three dresses, each of which either has faults or is just poor quality with unfinished details, yet they say I must pay to ship them back.

I have emailed to request a prepaid shipping label as it is the supplier's reponsibility in the case of faulty poor quality goods. They take a day to respond each time, and there is no phone number to contact. They now claim that I have to ship at my own cost and if they find issues 'upon inspection' they will refund. I have found many people online who share that they did this only to be told no faults were found so shipping costs could not be covered.

Under UK consumer law, it is their duty to prove that the faults did not exist at the time of shipping rather than for them to confirm that they exist to approve my refund. And the refund cannot be 'subject to inspection'. Also in the case of poor quality and durability it is supposed to take into consideration the price, and these dresses are not cheap so there is no denying this.

I was given a faulty dress which when I took it to the dry cleaners the gold came off the bandage dress but the label said gentle dry clean was okay and the company have taken over 4 weeks to get back to me and haven’t given me a refund when it’s there fault

Ich kann die vielen negativen Bewertungen ehrlich gesagt überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Meine Erfahrung mit House of CB war durchweg positiv! ✨

Die Qualität der Kleidung ist wirklich top – die Stoffe fühlen sich hochwertig an, sitzen perfekt und sehen genauso aus wie auf den Bildern (wenn nicht sogar besser). Besonders die Passform hat mich überzeugt, da die Schnitte die Figur unglaublich schön betonen.

Auch der Versand lief bei mir reibungslos und schneller als erwartet. Alles kam ordentlich verpackt an, was nochmal zeigt, dass hier Wert auf Details gelegt wird.

Was ich besonders liebe? Die Designs sind einfach einzigartig. Man fühlt sich direkt besonders, wenn man etwas von House of CB trägt, perfekt für besondere Anlässe oder wenn man einfach mal „wow“ aussehen will.

Für mich definitiv eine Marke, bei der Preis und Leistung stimmen. Ich werde dort auf jeden Fall wieder bestellen! 💕

I am beyond frustrated and heartbroken…

I am beyond frustrated and heartbroken with House of CB. I received Order #10005299 the afternoon before yesterday in a disgusting condition: it was stained and had a strong body odor (clearly worn and returned).
This was a special gift from my boyfriend for a once-in-a-lifetime event on April 2nd—an occasion I will never live again. I was extremely reactive: as soon as the post office opened yesterday morning, I ran to ship it back at my own expense (30.50 CHF / £27) from Switzerland to try and save my day. While I was rushing to fix THEIR mistake, their customer service was sleeping. Even now, they only reply with slow, robotic scripts and haven't offered a single real solution.
It seems we get fooled by influencers who clearly don't face these hygiene and service issues. If I don't receive my replacement (LARRA dress, Size S) before April 2nd, the experience is ruined for me. I demand an immediate manual store credit today or a FULL REFUND of the order and my shipping costs.
Please, at least take the time to reply here with a human solution. This is not the luxury service I expected for such a precious event. 🚩

I ordered 3 items on 6th March…

I ordered 3 items on 6th March totalling £407.. I eventually got 2 of my items after chasing around Essex to find which post office parcel force had decided to leave them without telling me.. House ofCB had no idea either and frankly didn’t care. It is now 24th March and still not received one of the items and no interest from customer service. The product is great but overpriced and I’m told the shop in London is great and they are very helpful but I would not suggest ordering on line
