I'd like to say a big thank you to Rhys Bebb on the Service desk,
What a fantastic Chap very professional in organising my van servicing and mot's and any other issues I had with my van, he keeps me informed on any issues arising and helps out where possible, he is a credit to your company, And thanks for the coffee's while I'm waiting to be seen.

The staff and management have been really excellent with regards to replacing a new car which had a fault from the very start (no fault of the garage whatsoever). The car (a French DS DS3) was delivered with a software fault that they tried numerous times to solve. It resulted in a national recall as the software was not fully compliant with UK law.
They allowed the return of the car after a couple of months usage at very little cost to us and ordered a new replacement which was absolutely perfect. They even gave us a loan car (brand new) for almost 2 months whilst awaiting delivery of the new vehicle. Mike, Rob, Brad and other staff were really excellent.

Fantastic customer service! Ben worked on my car quickly and thoroughly while I waited. He kept me informed of progress and gave me clear information on how he solved the issues. I highly recommend Howards Motor Group! There is also a nice waiting area 😃

The cars are great but sadly the after service isn’t.

Leave messages, no one calls back. Speak to someone to report an issue and promised a call back - nothing. When you call back agajn it’s weeks until they can actually get the car in for service.

Like I said the cars are great but if only the service at Taunton matched this it would be perfect but sadly they seem to have an attitude of they just don’t care.

On my last visit I had a courtesy car that was so dirty inside I had to ask them to clean it and was told by a member of staff it wasn’t their problem - agajn the same old do not care attitude.

On my previous car it go towed in by the AA and the dash cam showed it didn’t leave the garage. Howard’s called to say it had been Road tested and no fault found.

Are they too big now that they just don’t care. If you give feedback agajn they just don’t care.

We were looking to change our car and in August we paid a visit to their Taunton branch to view the new citroen c5 the chap who we saw was Jack who was so helpful and patient with us in fact we actually ordered the car . We then collected the vehicle on 6th November 2023 and again Jack was so helpful and did all he could to help us understand the technology in the car. Must admit all the staff were Friendly, Thanks Jack ( he is now in their Howard's VAUXHALL sales team next door to the Howards Citroen Taunton go and buy your new car from Jack

We have had excellent service from Howard’s Citroën in Taunton. We have had 5 cars from them over the last 15 years and all have been really great. The after sales team and the technicians have given us a first class service. Our current car is a C5X which we are very impressed with.

Appointment booked today at Howard’s Taunton to get our Aircon checked out. Steve got us sorted out and we waited for the car to be checked. Steve kept us aware of everything as it was happening with our car. We have never had the service we get at Howards and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a car service or even a car. They are amazing and we are definitely not going anywhere else. We are so glad we found them. Thank you Steve, you are a credit to Howard’s. See you in February for service and MOT.

We bought a used Peugeot 308 from Howards in Taunton. Very professional service from Greg Wells with good, honest advice and plenty of time to do a proper test drive. The car is exactly what we wanted and the Peugeot's mpg is actually better than the Ford Focus Ecoboost that we part exchanged!

Excellent experience in buying a new car. The salesman Bradley Bailey showed excellent customer service skills and an in depth knowledge of the product. He made the whole process easy and straightforward, even some of the more tedious aspects of the sale. He is a credit and a worthy asset to Howards.

Just a word about Joseph Wilkins at your Taunton location. An excellent salesman who has been very patient with me. I’m not changing my CR-V at present but he helped every step of the way during my decision making process.

I visited the showroom with a vague idea of what I wanted from my next car and was greeted and looked after by Simon throughout.
With immense patience (over 2 to 3 hours) he looked after me very well and 'steered' me in the right direction. My intention was to move away from my usual run of small SUV's (owned Nissan Jukes for over 9 years) so I test drove a C3 and then looked at a Peugeot 208 just for a change of style. But it wasn't until Simon suggested I drive a C3 Aircross that I felt that this was the car for me, sometimes you need to try something different to confirm that your original choice was right after-all.
The buying process was done very efficiently and Simon was happy to answer any questions I may of had, on collection day the only minor hiccup was that the contract for my service plan wasn't sent back immediately - through no fault of the dealership, Citroen UK took a couple of days and I received it via email straight away.
I can't fault Simons service, being always polite and helpful and answering my emails promptly.
The one single suggestion for improvement I have is regarding how the number plates are fixed, I noticed in the showroom that standard un-covered screws with semi-transparent washers behind were used - this to me not only looks cheap and a little ugly but is also less secure (last year 53400 number plates were stolen and were used by criminals to commit offenses). Therefore I went to Halfords and spent £2.99 on a pack of clutch screws with number plate coloured caps. The plates didn't have any anti-theft adhesive pads behind them either (the cars I've owned in the past had these as well so that the number plate would snap if its removal was attempted). Also the front plate had one white and one yellow washer instead of them both being white. This gave me the impression of corners being cut and lack of care, I guess some people wouldn't notice or think anything of it.
I'm glad I changed them as everytime I looked at the car my eyes were drawn to them and I couldn't be fully happy until they were changed, they now blend in and the car looks much better for it. It's surprising how such a small detail can have a big impact, the car has a more premium/quality/finished off with care look!

Needs better parts back up rang up for part for van . All I got was automated phone message to email the part I needed. I emailed them with little response. Come on pull your finger out howards

From the minute we walked on to the forecourt, we were greeted by very friendly non pushy salesmen. We never imagined buying a Citroen as I always though they were an "Old man's car"
I'm so glad we looked now as we came away with a Citroen C5 Air Cross, lovely looking car and really comfortable and smooth to drive😁 We were looked after by Simon and Charlie who were just awesome from start to finish. Myself and my husband would 100% recommend anyone going to see what they have to offer. Oh and they make a lovely cuppa too!!!

Staff were very helpful and polite. Shaun was especially helpful as I am totally useless at anything to do with vehicles!

Sean made the whole process of buying my car a simple and enjoyable experience. Initially he quickly ascertained what I was looking for and explained each stage of the purchase clearly.. The videos he sent to me of my new car were a nice personal touch.

Just had the pleasure of buying our daughters first car remotely with Howard’s. Initially nervous about buying without physically viewing the car but we were in excellent hands, with Simon taking us through every step of the process. Small problem that needed to be resolved post purchase but the aftercare was excellent. Would highly recommend Howard’s and in particular can’t thank Simon enough for his support.
