The whole experience was excellent from help at Stockport’s showroom (Debs) who helped me find the right chair and understood my fears of leaving home in order to be there. Through updates on delivery to actual delivery by Alex & Asad who delivered on time, advised me in advance and then talked me through the controls.
Yes it’s expensive. Yes some of the extras may be unnecessary but to but British and buy quality I’m very pleased with the outcome

Helpful staff

We were met at the door by Jason, who welcomed us warmly to the showroom. He offered help, but encouraged us to browse as well. We started a conversation where we explained our needs and Jason was attentive and asked pertinent questions. He pointed us to what he believed would be the best fit but advised us to try several chairs & take our time as a 30 second sit wouldn't give a true picture of comfort. There was no pressure, and Jason was genuinely interested in guiding us to the right answer, even if it wasn't in their store. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a personal & professional service with high quality ergonomic chairs to try. We've ordered a chair & now await delivery.

From initial visit to store to purchase riser recliner chair to delivery, all staff have been extremely helpful and professional. Advice I was given in store regarding suitability and measurement of chair made for a very reassuring and comfortable experience. I was kept informed of process and delivery dates, and when chair arrived, I was informed of delivery times. Paul and Paul, who carried out installation, were very professional and went out of their way to make sure I was completely happy with my purchase.

I took my elderly parents into the Stockport branch of HSL and from the moment we entered the store we were made to feel very welcome by Adam the store manager.
After introducing himself, Adam got my parents and myself seated comfortably, explained the process he was going to be taking us through to ensure we got the right chairs for them both that met their needs and then he made us all a cup of tea/coffee and biscuits. Adam’s customer service was exceptional, and his manner and patience combined with the simple way he explained everything to my parents, without any pressure to buy was what convinced them to buy not only two top of the range chairs but also two new adjustable beds with the gold Hypnos mattresses.
Adam, and also his colleague are an absolute credit to your company and my parents left the store confident in their choices and full of praise for the service they received and the attention Adam afforded them. I must also add that we were all very impressed with the quality of the handmade furniture but it was the manner of Adam and his colleague which impressed us all the most.

I was delighted when Alex and Michael delivered my chair. They explained how the chair worked and made sure I was happy before they left. The store team in Stockport were also brilliant. Every member of HSL staff throughout the various stages were a credit to HSL and fully deserve an excellent recommendation.

Alex and Michal were very polite and helpful when they delivered the chair. They brought the chair in set it up and positioned it for us. They were quick and efficient. The chair is comfortable and just the right size as measurements were taken in the shop when we ordered it.

With a lot of choice on offer, I felt I was guided through the range to choose a specific chair that best matched my needs - this was an efficient process due mainly to the expertise of the HSL staff, and their willingness to spend time helping me arrive at a decision I as happy with.

The gentleman we saw was extremely pleasant to deal with .He answered all our questions easily and obviously knew what he was talking about.

I cannot recommend HSL Stockport enough. From the brew and biscuits, product knowledge and lack of hard sell to the Spring flowers, great communication and fabulous range I was truly impressed.
