Mike is really the guy you wanna talk to! He is amazing, giving you advise after your needs, replying very quickly and having such a great knowledge on what he does. No Frills, No Dramas - Immaculate Desktop
Really enjoying the PC - immaculate and exactly as described in terms of specs. I even got some lollies...
Good value for the specs, certainly cheaper than I found on TradeMe for comparable systems. It's a few years old but more than capable as a development machine.
The packaging was good and the machine arrived unscathed in Christchurch. It's worth calling out the 'no frills' aspect. I only needed (and asked for) the desktop as I have some very specific things in mind for it, and that's basically what I got. There was nothing in the way of documentation, recovery disk, etc. I'm fine with that and it's now running FreeBSD quite happily, but I presume they cater for people who need more if you ask - I just didn't have any need to contact hungryPC.
Unfortunately there are some 'warranty void' stickers which are an annoyance - these things are intended to be taken apart !
Overall I'd be happy to purchase more kit, so thank you !

Really appreciate the kind words and support :) We put a lot of effort into bringing the best quality machines to market and offer our customers the best possible value we can. Modern PC's come with no documentation or recovery disc's as it's all online now, most machines don't have CD/DVD disc drives, so recovery options are now built into the operating system, or you can re-download the installer directly from Microsoft, for free, at any stage, to put on a USB :) We are always happy to help with this also if needed.
The warranty seals are relatively standard on most computers these days, this is to verify the integrity of the system as it was supplied, if the device is modified internally by a third party after we have supplied it, we cannot be held liable for issues caused by parts or workmanship supplied by any third party. We are more than happy to install any upgrades you see fit before shipment and test as a complete finished build, to guarantee it's reliability and ensure no risk to your warranty from us :) Ultimately if you ever need any support just reach out, we go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Got a Chromebook from here. Top notch device ready to go. So easy to set up. Latest operating system installed. Got a free gift of a flash drive and my daughter loved the jelly beans. Brand new charger included. Very fast shipping for rural delivery and it was packaged extremely well. I haven't needed to ask any questions etc yet but I expect the same great service I received when purchasing. Love supporting smaller business and these guys are better than any I've used. Thanks for your feedback Grant! We pride ourselves on being able to bring the best quality refurbished laptops to market, and ultimately as with anything, you might pay a little more for quality. We strongly believe that the fraction you may pay extra to get such a high quality device, backed with service and support that is second to none, is worth every penny. While sometimes you may be able to save a few dollars on other refurbished devices, typically we find it costs you much more in the long run as they haven't had the same level of servicing that our devices have undergone to give them a new lease on life. Not all refurbished tech is the same!
After a lot of research - It had to be Hungry PC.
After a lot of research, while looking to upgrade to a Windows 11 PC, Hungry PC was a standout for me. I purchased a great, refurbished, powerful PC with a new Windows 11 installed and ready to go for under $1000. Mike was great to deal with, and when I had an issue while setting up (my fault) Mike was back to me super quick with instructions to resolve my setup issue.

I'll tell you one thing, when you spend hundreds of dollars with a company to purchase a product and it's important it works as stated and the company does exactly what they said they would , in fact goes above and beyond what they said , it's well worth doing business with them , Mike and the team at HungryPC are bloody amazing , after sales service , brilliant , product , better than I expected , the computer I ordered , I had screw up as i wanted linex installed but hadn't put it in the order , no worries no fuss no issue , we can sort that for you , no extra charge !
