Everyone on the radio team should be replaced they all laughed and took part in the whole thing. BTS deserves better and a genuine apology not a forced one. The whole team acted like middle school children calling army losers for liking BTS and laughing. Iheart radio needs to step back and take a look in the mirror whether it be jealousy or something else they have no right to disrespect anyone, we as people are suppose to be spreading positivity and helping each other not tearing each other down.

63 yr old Grandma here, a die hard fan of BTS and Jungkook! Just reading all the comments from army makes my blood boil! Shame on you iheartradio and Woody who ever! You guys are nothing compared to our BTS boys. Show some respect!

It is heart breaking and disappointing to listen to a radio talk show that could be so rude to fans of all ages; making racist comments and show how ignorant we can be when it comes to other cultures. If you don’t have anything nice to say then say nothing, or do your homework before every show. How embarrassing!

Totally disrespectful to a group that went out of their way to give your poor festival an audience. Your on air personalities should know better than to disrespect any listeners never mind calling us “losers”. Won’t be a listener anymore.

As a radio station, you should know how to choose the right person to host your show. Even if he is not a professional host, he should at least know how to be humble and respectful.
Just because he doesn't know Jungkook personally or cannot pronounce his name correctly doesn't give him the right to mock someone's name, especially Jungkook's. What makes it worse is that he also mocked the fans, the ARMY.
His behavior was not only ignorant but also arrogant. While everyone is entitled to their opinion, mocking someone's name and disrespecting their fans is completely unacceptable.
And honestly, the public apology is not enough, especially when it doesn't seem sincere. As a radio station, you should take responsibility for the behavior of your hosts. Your hosts represent your show, and their actions reflect your station's values.
Respect should be the bare minimum, whether you're talking about an artist or their fans.

I was disappointed by the audio failures during BTS’s broadcast which indicated ineptitude or disregard by the show. Thousands of people tuned in for the whole show just to see BTS. iHeart radio were called out on it and should just own it. Then to find that their representative radio host mocked the group and their fandom was unacceptable, really. His apology seemed forced and insincere. He did not address that he was being racist- which was what happened. That is not how to treat the most popular artists on their program and their fans, or any fans, for that matter. Most of the audience were BTS fans, as evidenced by the difference in the number of people in the audience between night 1 and night 2. Why make everyone feel bad just to get attention? There was not one good point to that. It has tainted iHeart Radio for me.

IHeart Radio should be ashamed of yourselves for hiring racist radio hosts! And to laugh about it as if it was ok. Disgusting behavior should be banned. Too bad you just lost the biggest group in the world due to your stupidity and ignorance!

The poor quality of the 2026 festival was the first part of a bad review. Then the rude behavior of the Woody Show in connection to iheartradio towards one of the invited performing groups AND their fandom was the last straw. Apology not accepted Woody show. Only happened when the fandom put the pressure on the behavior. That makes it disingenuous. Good luck and good bye.

Horrible for what they did to BTS.. they purposely plan them to go on last because they know they brought in all the attention and all the armies were there. All for the ratings..shameful.. you will never see our boys again

There is a big difference between saying, “BTS isn’t my kind of music” and using dislike of BTS as an excuse to mock, stereotype, or insult the millions of people who support them.
No artist has to appeal to everyone. No fandom is beyond criticism either. But when criticism turns into hostility towards people simply because they are ARMY — dismissing them because of their age, gender, nationality, culture, or musical preferences — we should ask ourselves what happened to the values of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging that we so readily celebrate elsewhere.
Diversity is not only about accepting people who look different from us. It is also about respecting different cultures, languages, generations, interests and forms of expression.
Inclusion means making room for those differences without ridicule.
And belonging means allowing people to enjoy something that gives them happiness and connection without making them feel embarrassed or unwelcome because of it.
BTS have brought Korean music and culture to audiences across borders, languages and generations. Their fandom is equally diverse — different ages, countries, professions, backgrounds and life experiences, connected by music.
You don't have to understand that connection.
You don't have to listen to BTS.
You don't even have to like them.
But respect should never depend on sharing someone else's taste.
The music industry, media and entertainment communities should be places where cultural diversity is celebrated, not where stereotypes and hostile attitudes towards artists or their audiences are normalised.
Critique the music. Debate the industry. Have different tastes.
But prejudice against people because of the music they love?
That has no place in an industry built on creativity, diversity and human connection. 💜

If only I can rate it 0. As an Asian descendant, we as a group feel offended by those racist remarks made by their employees. The fake apology means nothing without consequence/ action to those that made those comments on a nationwide radio station. Instead of love for all, they ridicule another race and resort to name calling those that support the very group that always spread positivity. Shame on them, shame on Iheart radio. The host didn’t just mispronounce Jungkook’s name (which is forgiveable) but mocked it because it wasn’t a standard, typical western name. Then he also added “whatever the eff it is”, to indicate his superiority, that a Korean name is dismissive and not worth his time and effort to find out what it is nor correctly pronounce it. THAT is racism! And should be called out for, instead of being spread as acceptable. And how ironic that the show was doing that to the headliner act, that was paid a large fee (so they must have been works it to the company!) and flew 11 hours for the show Then calling an entire fandom as “losers” is derogatory. Large percentage of the audience (in-person and streaming were Army). This loser will be taking her money and attention elsewhere, not at iHeart radio!
