Everything is well and good until your building guarantee expires. We've had ongoing issues with our sewage system, both Severn Trent Water and Dinorod have told me the problem stems from the ihus build. Ihus won't accept responsibility.
So now every 4-5 months my sewers back up and I have to pay to get them emptied.
Avoid.

Hugely disappointed with this company. They promise the earth and employ bodge it builders and useless incompetent project managers. Roof had to be completely re done, cladding doesn’t match balustrades not done properly, kitchen sink ruined by builders throwing chemicals down it, leaks from the boiler, grab handles in the bathroom stuck on with silicon and ruined by being clamped with pliers among a huge list of other disasters including having to get drainage specialists out to remove concrete they put in the drains. Hopeless incompetent builders and supervisors who just lie and never answer the phone. Project overran by about two months because initial groundworks were not organised in time and they had to change how to install the footings. Disastrous job all round and the project manager was a bullying lying incompetent moron.Do NOT use this company

If you want an annexe built and minimum impact on your daily life then get in touch with Ihus.I did lots of research and decided to go with Ihus and did'nt regret it.From start to finish the co ordination of the whole process was brilliant with such an experienced team who guide you through with ease.I look forward to the final handover and it's been a pleasure dealing with all concerned including Matt,Jan,Nigel,Jo,and all the builders.Many thanks.

Omg this is the worst’s of them I can send photos of all the faults
Not being a pain cladding blown again doors won’t close
Extractors and guttering pulling out of the walls
So 6 months snag got on the roof
Omg it’s like a patchwork
Do not spend your money on this company
Cracking on all windows patio door can’t open other door lets water in as it won’t close properly
Decking retaining wall gone mad skirting boards split flooring rubbish and many more things
Don’t use this company ever
I can send pictures is you need them
After they have your money good luck
They don’t care

I have just moved into an IHus Annexe in my daughter’s garden which is brilliant. The build was so easy and best of all so quick I moved in within three months who could as for anything more.The builders informed me all the way when and what they were doing whatever they were doing was done with care and
never left a mess ever after they left at night
I designed the Annexe myself so I have everything I want and more. Just brilliant what more can I say.

We had a bad experience with Ihus. After having planning permission refused twice before from our local council and spending lots on architects, we were really worried and apprehensive with spending anymore money and having planning refused.

IHUS gave us peace of mind, telling us we pay the £4000 deposit and planning fee and if unsuccessful that money would be returned. The local council granted planning permission but only for 3 years with a demolition date. Meaning we would have to re-submit planning all over again in 3 years time. The build would cost us £130.000 and I find it astonishing that Ihus has said they have achieved planning and now the money will not be returned. £4000 is huge to our family and now has left us unable to move forward and my elderly father will now not have a house to live in and cannot afford a house.

We really thought we had found the perfect company for our needs and for our future but it has been an absolute nightmare.
