A not-for-profit organisation, we are your friendly community experts on all things related to disability and helping you to maintain your independence through our disability aids shop. We work with you or your family to understand your situation, concentrating on what your abilities are. We then find solutions for the areas that you need assistance with. Many of us have experienced disability ourselves, so we understand what someone needs to make the most of their current situation.

Purchasing things from supported Levi helps me live independently and much handy and helpful and everyday living and I’m appreciative of what independent living supports us. People are living with disability much more easier and freedom to beat themselves with a better support and a bit of assistance to be independent. 100% I love supporting and purchasing things from independent living and I would support the manager cause they make my life easier with all the things that they offer doing with a disability.

Wanaka Style Walker
My mother had used the Wanaka style walker and loved it. When she had to return her one to ACC we purchased this one via ILCT. It was in the South Island within the week. Great service.

We are genuinely sorry to hear about the progression of your health needs and the distress you are experiencing. We take situations such as this very seriously, particularly where safety and wellbeing are concerned.
As previously explained, the bed and bed rails purchased in 2022 were suitable for your needs at that time. Since then, your health requirements have changed significantly. Bed rails are not designed to be used for transferring, repositioning, or bearing body weight beyond their specified limits, and continued use in this way presents a serious safety risk.
Despite the equipment being well outside warranty and the issues not arising from product faults, our organisation — including direct involvement from our Chief Executive — has worked extensively with you, your GP, Disability Needs Assessment Services, and Health New Zealand to urgently progress the correct clinical assessment. This assessment is essential to ensure you are prescribed high-needs equipment that is safe and appropriate for your current condition.
We remain committed to supporting you through this process. However, access to funded, high-dependency equipment can only proceed once the required clinical referrals and assessments are completed by you and your healthcare providers.
Our priority has always been — and remains — your safety and wellbeing. We continue to encourage follow-through with the relevant health services so that the appropriate long-term solution can be put in place.

Easy to follow website
Easy to follow website, quick efficient service. I would however suggest removing "Shop" as the tracking method, the need to scan with your phone might make it a bit complicated for some people using your service.

Really difficult altercation on…
Really difficult altercation on returning commode, which sales person insisted was supplied in a 'red bag'...... which it was not. Company finally conceded we were right as it was a display model and close to closing at weekend. Very stressful experience at a stressful experience at a very sttessful time

Came in to look at mobility scooters Megan was amazing we were just looking for quotes so not buying, very knowledgeable great practical advice, we actually ended up buying in the interim combination walker wheelchair, which I’d highly recommend ( Newmarket I think)
