Immerse 2024!
My time at Immerse was truly unforgettable! The friendships I built with people from all over the world made every moment special, and our mentors made us feel at home right from the start. Every activity was exciting, and the challenging academic environment deepened my knowledge of law. Through engaging lessons and projects we were assigned I gained skills will definitely help me in the future.
I can’t recommend enough
I can’t recommend enough.
I did three summer camps, and each time I had such a great experience. The different campuses are awesome and it’s amazing to spend time there. Classes are quite small, so you can benefit from individual follow-up. Lessons are always well-done and super interesting. Whatever subject you chose, you’ll work on a project on your own, which is really interesting and stimulating. Teachers help you all the way long, they are always very positive and supportive. Apart from the lessons, the time spent with the tutors is also great, they are there for us, organize great activities, and always adapt to our needs.
Overall, I can only recommend Immerse, which have helped me grow, meet a lot of great people and learn a lot about subjects that interest me.
Good mentors; poor organization - not worth the money and time
I attended the New York Law Program, and the organization was poor. Our law tutor did not have a clear structure or syllabus to teach our class, which is why our class had to complain; ultimately, she quit halfway through the course, and we got different guest speakers who came in. They were great and provided much more knowledge than the original tutor.
Furthermore, most of our afternoon sessions were poorly executed NYC tourist tours, which were not what I expected at all. It would have been much better if they related the afternoon sessions to law — the subject I actually signed up for.
However, the mentors were very helpful!! Specifically, Hannah Borum, Xanthe, and Zach did an amazing job in being a support for the students. Thank you for that!
Shameful
Terrible shameful behaviour by this company. My daughter received an email saying she had received a scholarship and inviting her to attend an awards event - and urging parents to also attend - to celebrate her success and to receive feedback on what made her essay so special!! We attended the terrible ceremony - which as we suspected was just a massive sales pitch - but she had won absolutely nothing. And the product is so overpriced she had no chance of ever attending without a prize. It's completely unacceptable to communicate with a young person in this way. It was clear from the chat and from reviews that she was not the only young person who had been given massive false hope in the same way.

Worth it, for sure!
Having returned from a whirlwind two weeks completing an intensive Business Management course at the University of Toronto through Immerse Education, I can now reflect on my time there. It was a massive honour to win a scholarship through the Immerse Education essay competition, enabling me to attend this fantastic programme. I won a 30% scholarship, and yes, some of the wording 'over-hyped' what I'd actually won, but still an awesome enabler.
The course consisted of lessons in pricing, management, entrepreneurship, marketing, leadership and personal growth under the incredible tutelage of Lauren Schell, who brings so much real-life experience and an ability to make the world of business accessible to a kid from the South Pacific. The course culminated in the development of extensive business plans and 'shark-tank' style final presentations. Lauren challenged me to find my 'why' and keep dreaming big. Thank you for inspiring me.
I leave having met incredible people from all over the world - I've gained 24 friends for life. Experiences from Niagara Falls to exploring downtown Toronto - my basket is full. Thanks Josh for organising everything, back in four years to watch the World Cup in that restaurant :) make sure to pack an umbralla in Toronto, we got pretty wet on the way back from Centre Island.
It was my first time overseas by myself, so it was a bit scary not really knowing what I'm getting myself into - but so worth it in the end.
The idea that resonates with me most as I head home is that we might not be able to move mountains, but we can sure as hell try. That's a motivation I've carried through in the weeks and months since the course.
Shameful company
Firstly, they sent out a shiny email to both me and my parents, saying ‘you/your son has achieved something special’ and urging us to attend a truly awful 90 minute prizegiving Zoom call, most of which was spent promoting their products. Of course, my essay was not awarded any kind of prize, only their ‘Merit award’ which they give to everyone who submitted an entry and takes a few pounds off their extortionately priced holiday camps. I could’ve easily accepted that my essay wasn’t selected but to play with the emotions of both me and my parents is shameful. Then, they released the much-advertised essay feedback a week later. No surprises here - it was entirely AI generated and completely useless. To be honest, I wouldn’t trust anything they said after this experience, and no I’m not interested in a meeting with them to discuss my experience and what they could do better thank you very much.

Great experience and well organized.
There a many activities and great tutors to give the participants the best learning experience.
Scam alert
As with others listed here, our son entered the essay competition for a chance to win a scholarship to one of the residential courses apparently offered at various Universities across the world. Two days before the award ceremony we too received an email informing us that our sons essay had stood out and that while the scholarships were still being finalised, we would not want to miss the ceremony to hear what he had been awarded. Everyone was excited and hoped for a decent scholarship.
Due to the time difference, we got up in the middle of the night to watch the ceremony via the webinar. What a waste of time, and so disappointing for our son who wasn’t mentioned anywhere.
Like others on here, we then received a follow up email explaining that there had been a technical glitch and we had received the wrong email. The correct email should have said that our son had won a merit award. This consisted of a very small discount towards attending one of their courses either online or in person.
It all comes across as a scam, to suck unsuspecting parents and students in, when all they want is to succeed and do well in their education. Heartbreaking for the students who have been led on by this false narrative. I bet they haven’t even read half the essays.
Be really cautious if contemplating any sort of interaction with this organisation.

Misleading and a total scam
On the page of the website, it says “Win a 100% scholarship to a university of your choosing!” However, when my son entered the competition, not only was he told he “Won something incredible” but that he won a scholarship for university. Turns out, this scholarship is actually for a short summer school program. Not only this, but immerse education has the audacity to send my son over 8 emails to join the zoom awards ceremony because he has won something amazing (at 2:00am), only to find out that email was a scam too and he won absolutely nothing. I think it’s absolutely disgusting that such organisation is playing with children’s emotions and luring them into writing an extraordinary essay, only to be stunned with shock. Immerse education really needs to rethink their entire organisation and simply stop offering things they don’t actually offer.

Essay Competition Deceiving Kids
My child entered the essay competition and was extremely excited to receive an email from Immerse saying "You've achieved something incredible in the Immerse Education Essay Competition!...we’d love for you to join us as we announce details of your scholarship, celebrate your success, and showcase what made your essay stand out."
The clear implication being that she had won some kind of scholarship to one of their courses. Needless to say she started to invite all her family members to join the online live ceremony saying she did not know what she had won but that she had won something. Everyone joined the 1+ hour online ceremony waiting...waiting... nothing! You can imagine the disappointment and confusion. It was all just some facade to get as many kids to join their online ceremony as possible. They can point to technicalities like the email stated they could not reveal exact awards details until the event etc... but the implications were very clear and leaves a horrible impression of the organisation!
My kid would not have minded at all not winning - she knew thousands of kids were submitting entries. But to receive that email, get their hopes sky high, and then to find out it was all just a ploy to get the kids to sign up to the ceremony (where they could market their courses) was very disappointing to say the least. It is playing with the emotions of young teenagers and is very irresponsible!

Immerse not ethical
It is such a relief to see other parents/students complain about this negative experience with immerse education regarding their abysmal "awards ceremony".
Firstly, they sent out a generic email, to both parents and especially students, claiming their essay "stood out" and won a prize. Obviously the kids and parents will be excited so we all go along only to find out that the prizes were limited to international students, and for essays that were of lower standard compared to academically capable students. The judges are biased and voted for the essay close to their niche.
The comments section in the call was full of immature students writing childish stuff and the Q&A was ignored on some questions asked. There was no proper adult overseeing this call.
It must be stressed that this so-called programme is more to do with making profit than students being enriched by "opportunities" that you can get elsewhere for free or less money for example, futurelearn, Open learn, Coursera. Most universities would prefer work experience than these short sub-standard programmes.
There's no real academically ethical practice adhered to, what I mean is; they want you to write an essay and have it put on their website but if you didn't win the competition then you shouldn't allow your hard work be put on there for others to copy. Parents and students should be wary of such programmes.
In the end we left the call and my child has moved on to work experience. Save your money and look at universities own website for courses/programmes they offer and there is a lot out there.
I hope universities read these parents comments and be acutely aware the unfair way we were treated. I do wish the other parents and students all the best who had the same disappointing experience as us.
Update: It is highly unlikely there was a technical glitch because that would mean the actual winners also got the wrong emails too so they are not the true winners. Immerse education was a wrong choice for our son and we regret ever giving this silly essay competition a try. We don't accept the embarrassing "Merit" award and we don't believe the so-called "judges" have or ever did mark all those thousands of essays. The essays were likely picked randomly and then chosen for the scholarship. Either way, we have put it behind us and advise parents not to invest in such a programme. Please save your money for your child's university and encourage them to get work experience instead. Universities have their own summer school/programme just email them and ask. Good luck!

Misleading essay competition email
My daughter was a recent essay entrant and was tremendously excited to receive an email which implied that she was a prize winner. We sat through an hour of the webinar only to realise that in fact all entrants were invited and all would receive a small voucher towards an Immerse Course. I feel very strongly that you should re-think the wording of your email. She would have been perfectly fine not to be selected but to imply that students have won a prize in order to entice them to attend a promotional event, smacks of dishonesty and frankly will deter her and myself from any further interaction with Immerse.

My two-week trip to Cambridge…
My two-week trip to Cambridge University with Immerse Education was one of the best experiences of my life. I got the chance to learn about technology and artificial intelligence in a way that was both fun and informative.
Two weeks in Oxford with immerse
My experience at Oxford was amazing, from making new friends in different countries, trying new various cuisines, learning about how nanotechnology is involved in the real world and that it’s a branch of chemistry, dealing with particles on a nanoscale level. I earned 8 UCAS points and most importantly learnt to be responsible and educated broadening my options and helping me decide my career.
International relations
One of my most memorable memories of the program was probably making friends with people all over the world. I'm still talking to the friends I made from New York and even Zambia!! I'd definitely recommend this program to my other friends.
Immerse Education: Really immerse yourself in it
Simple unforgettable experiences, learning first-year medical theory and getting to bond with a cohort of equally enthusiastic and intelligent minds, while immersing onesself in the life of a future university student and its surroundings.
The perfect one
Friends teachers mentors simply everything! I just simply love it so much!!!
Immerse Camp-Incredible Experience
Honestly one of the most amazing experiences ever. The rooms were modern and so confortable. The lessons were incredible with the best teachers I have ever had teaching us, the activities were always unique and interesting and by the end I didn’t want to leave. I formed unforgettable friendships and even better memories.
