The course was easy to follow!
The course was easy to follow. The instructor started off with the basics and gradually built up the different techniques step by step. This allowed trainees to feel at ease and confidence to test out the techniques and àsk questions relevant to their setting.

- Information was clear.
- Updates about staff progress with online training were really helpful as it enabled me to chase people up.

- Our trainer, James Hamilton, was totally brilliant! He put us all at ease and made the session thoroughly enjoyable, while watching us carefully and being quick to correct errors in our technique in a supportive manner.

I have done many positive handling…
I have done many positive handling courses over the years and I felt this approach was one of the very best. The online work covered the legal aspects and then the afternoon face to face session was well measured in reinforcing de-escalation wherever possible and always the lowest level of intervention appropriate. The course leader was excellent - balanced humour and rigour perfectly and demonstrated holds etc. very clearly.

Online course easy to access and complete.
Physical training thoroughly presented by James; he was able to give advice with positive handling on our pupils taking into account their needs/disabilities etc.

Great instructors who were adaptable…
Great instructors who were adaptable and good fun. They really put situations into real life for us and gave us some great ways of remembering the moves - which is always the hardest thing to do when you have completed positive handling courses.
