Buyer Beware!

If I could give a negative rating, I would. My family had scheduled a trip to Charleston and reserved a location through this company, but we had to cancel. We tried to cancel as soon as we knew we were not going to be able to travel, but it was within their '60 days from check-in policy' and stated that we need to either use the property as scheduled or make an insurance claim. BTW, the insurance claim does not cost them a cent, they still keep your money and then can reschedule someone else in the location on those dates... (double dipping). The insurance covers the rental fees, not service fees and they do not tell you that. Also, there is no validation component, such as a check box or initial space on their form to confirm the renter completely understands that this can be used to take all of the money that was rendered for services the renter will never get. Not sure that component would stand up to legal scrutiny, but I do not have the funds to fight them. This organization then does not refund any of the service fees that were paid for the reservation, such as cleaning and animal deposit. We did not cross the threshold of this reserved location and have paid for cleaning that was not needed and an animal deposit for an animal that never was there. The service fees were ~$950.00. Their website says they pride themselves on customer service, but that is not my experience. They hide behind a 60-day policy that allows them to take advantage of people, as most items that will affect a family's ability to travel happen closer to the travel dates and that is what they are banking on. We even tried to reschedule the days, but once again, they pulled out this 60-policy to use to not allow a reschedule. We have had similar situations with other VRBO rentals, and the owners were always amenable to rescheduling, but not this company. They are not concerned with good customer service, just optimizing their cash flow.
Now they will respond to this review stating that we did not read or understand the agreement and that they acted according to their agreement. As stated previously, I do not have the time, funds or inclination to fight this in court, but if this review protects one family from getting screwed by this company, it is worth EVERY syllable!
Steer clear of this company!

Once again, they hide behind the 'policy' that allows them to take the customer's money rather than allowing a rescheduling of the dates or returning fees for services that were not rendered. The argument that a policy is nothing if it is not followed is absolutely ridiculous. We tried to reschedule as soon as we knew those dates were not going to work for us and you would not have been out a dime, as you would have had ample time to rent it to some other family. I guess you really do not care at all, as you are not out a dime, either way.
You may not have been able to double dip on our reservation, but you do for any other reservation that cancels with enough lead time to allow it. I have absolutely no sympathy for you not being able to do so in this instance.
Whether a client buys the insurance or not, you keep the money. Let's be VERY clear about that...
I am in the process of making a claim. It DOES NOT cover all of the fees related to the stay, just the rental of the location, so you get to pocket the money paid for services that were never rendered.
Grossly unfair? Really? How about it being grossly unfair for your organization to take over ~$950 from us for doing nothing! I agree that you do not bank on travelers cancelling, but you do bank on them when they have to do it, in whatever context that occurs.
You claim to be the highest rated rental company in the area, but if anyone reading this does the slightest amount of research, they will find that the only site that has you so highly rated is yours, and there are absolutely no negative reviews...wonder why that is?
These people care nothing for working with their customers after the money has changed hands...deal with them at your own risk.

We are sorry that your plans changed and that you were unable to travel to Charleston as you originally planned. The rental agreement and our disclosures on our VRBO listing are very clear regarding our cancellation policies and procedures. Both the rental agreement and the disclosures on our VRBO listings are put in place to clarify for all parties — in advance — how cancellation requests within 60 days of your scheduled arrival date will be handled. Contrary to your claims, the cancellation policy is spelled out on the VRBO site in multiple places as well as fully detailed in the rental agreement. It is sent again multiple times after you book.

You made your reservation nearly 5 months in advance of your arrival date and then canceled your stay on the day of arrival. There was no “double dipping” as there was no way for us to rebook the home on the day of your arrival. As you note, the cancellation policy is clear - no refunds for cancellations within 60 days. “Good customer service” does not mean that all parties should abandon the rental agreement and create a new policy that works only for you. It is unfair that you expect us or any other VRBO hosts to deviate from these policies.

You informed us that you had purchased travel insurance for this trip. We advised you to file a claim with the insurance company directly. We are not the insurance company. We do not determine whether your reason for cancelling your stay is covered by the travel insurance policy and have no say in whether you have a valid claim. The travel site you booked through (VRBO) doesn't refund fees for cancellations. However, if you have a valid claim then the insurance company will reimburse you for all costs incurred. If the travel insurance company decides that you do not have a valid claim, then you are unfairly expecting our homeowners to subsidize your choice to deviate from your original travel plans.

Your claims are grossly unfair. We are not in the business of marketing our homes and banking on travelers cancelling their travel plans on the day of arrival. We are in the business of providing an exceptional experience within our exceptional homes. Again, we are sorry that you had to change your travel plans but our compliance with our stated cancellation policies & procedures does not mean that we not concerned with good customer service.

We are the highest rated property manager in the area with average guest review scores of 4.9 out of 5 with thousands of happy customers. Our complaints are usually from people who do not read the rental agreement or who expect us to deviate from our rental agreement. We advise all guests to thoroughly read and understand these documents.

Following our July 22-29 Vacation, iTrip falsely accused my family of leaving a Fripp Island property “excessively dirty” and were wrongly charged $150. Knowing we were innocent of the allegations, we respectfully called and emailed iTrip. We were shown no compassion, understanding and especially zero compromise. Phone calls were not returned only emails stating that we were wrong. iTrip corporate was notified and took no action.

As a result of our treatment, we took iTrip to small claims court and the judge ruled in our favor.

If you vacation with iTrip, please take note of additional rules you will need to follow:

1) Vacuum and sweep floors. If you can’t locate a vacuum or dustpan, notify iTrip in writing and save the evidence.
2) Zero Tolerance Trash Policy. Pick up every piece. E.g. For a 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom, 7 night stay for 12 people, 1 sock, 3 bottles, 2 caps and 1 cough drop wrapper is considered “excessive”.
3) Remove any dead roaches that may have died during your stay. Pictures of dead roaches will be used as evidence against you.
4) Loading all dirty dishes and adding soap to the dishwasher does not count unless the dishwasher finishes its cycle. If the dishwasher does not complete the cycle (maintenance issue, power cycle, or you just did not enable the unit properly) you will be held responsible. Wait for swishing sounds is the advice we received.
5) Photograph all towels upon check-out.
6) Video entire rental upon checkout to guard against broken items after you vacate the property.

Interesting facts I’ve learned:

iTrip believes this is not personal, it is business
iTrip believes their #1 priority is the owner of the home.

We feel that vacation (especially when being falsely accused) is “personal”. In my line of work, I genuinely care for my customers and always strive to satisfy them. When visiting the one and only, amazing Beaufort County, I would encourage you to consider other property management companies. Look for a company that shows equal care and attention to both home owners and visitors. We have vacationed in Fripp Island for over 10 years and have had nothing but wonderful experiences. Please don’t let this review deter you from visiting Fripp!

Although we won the case, I actually lost in this deal. While my excessive cleaning fee and court fees were returned, I will never be reimbursed for my travel expenses to court (Lexington to/from Beaufort), 4 hours of vacation and several hours of preparing for court. BUT, if this review helps just one family avoid what we’ve gone through, I’ll consider it a win!

Lastly, I really feel with proper coaching and willingness to receive constructive feedback, iTrip could learn from this and improve their consumer experience.

Sadly the Pinellas office of your organization has gone silent although they have asked for information. Once I provided them they stopped answering emails. I went on BBB to read reviews and I don't seem to be the first to have this problem (with mold in the unit and poor customer service).

Initially our start of vacation in Sandcastle Penthouse #3 was lovely. However, within about 24 hours our family became sick with Mold Toxicity. We have had mold toxicity before so we know what it feels like right away. This vacation was not only ruined but the next few weeks involved doctors appointments and protocols. We ended up leaving early due to the mold and while packing up found a closet with water damage and mold as well as other areas in the unit. We had seen some concerning areas (ceiling peeling back etc.) upon arrival but didn't think it would amount to what took place. We took pictures and I sent them to a Certified Mold Specialist and he confirmed it was mold. We tried to talk to the manager multiple times when we were leaving but she didn't return communication until a week later after I followed up about 4 times. She admitted there was water damage but also said "there wasn't mold because the ceiling was not wet" which shows a lack of understanding how mold works. She said someone looked at the unit after we left and said there wasn't mold, however she said she didn't know if they were experts. She seemed like she wanted to help and asked me for my doctor's note, which he provided for mass cell activation due to the mold exposure in the condo. My doctor also saw the pics and confirmed mold as well since he treats patients with mold toxicity often and I had to see him after the vacation. After I supplied the letter to the manager she went radio silent. I have followed up twice thereafter and still no response.

I am asking for the $3,097.01 that we paid for Sandcastle Penthouse #3. The vacation ended up horrific and the weeks following with doctors appointments and healing were terrible. I am not even asking for money toward the appointments or protocols.

I hope someone is willing to do the right thing. Reimburse us for this vacation that took a toll on our health.

Update Since Receiving Response from ITRIP:
Readers do not trust this company. The response they submitted below is completely untruthful. To clarify, I reached out to them Friday July 21st when we checked out early from our vacation since we were so sick from mold. I then followed up 5 times over the course of the next week. The first time I ever heard back from I TRIP was Thursday July 27th....which was nearly a week AFTER we checked out. I have email confirmation/trails to confirm this.

They did not respond at the beginning of our vacation. Nor did they mold test at the beginning of our vacation. Nor did we "decide" to stay the entire week. This conversation they mentioned did not occur. I have emails to prove this with time stamps.

We got sick from the unit, and when I called I TRIP they didn't respond for a week. There are pictures of mold and water damage which I also sent to 2 certified professionals, and they confirmed mold from the photos. I TRIP also asked for a doctor's note and I provided and they went silent.

This response below is the first time I have heard back from the Pinellas office since submitting the doctor's note they asked for. This is also the first time they have said they will not reimburse the $3000. They have never responded in email or phone call with this info.

Reader, please use another company. Read also the BBB reviews. They are so terrible and also mention mold and dirty units. And the responses to those from I TRIP are also wretched. If I would have seen these prior to booking I would have never booked.

I know I trip didn't intend my family to be sick, or check out of our vacation early, or go to numerous doctors' appointments after being in their unit. But it happened. And their care and also customer service has been zero, They have even been dishonest, which is just sad that a company would do that.

This guest stayed in an older building, but the condo she stayed in was recently updated and is in good condition. It is a top floor unit with a direct view of the beach, so we charge premium rates for a week here.

As soon as the guest arrived, she reported stains on the ceiling and immediately claimed there was mold in the condo. This was the first time a guest reported this concern, and we sent our team look at it and purchased a mold test kit.

The results came back negative - there was no mold. We notified the guest, and she decided to stay the entire week. After check-out, she claimed her husband was sick from mold. After researching, we concluded that it was not caused from our condo, especially because they were there one week, and the test showed no mold.

We have responded to this guest by reiterating that there was no mold in the condo, and we would not be giving her a refund or compensation. We have not received any other complaints about this condo from other guests.

Amazing "Change of Attitude"

We thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation! The huge cabin was everything we hoped it would be! Plenty of space! Even though it states to bring favorite cooking pots & pans, extra paper goods.......there was plenty of everything supplied to us. Everything was in great working order (hot tub, dishwasher, jacuzzi....) and super clean! Everyone loved the game room with the pool table and air hockey, especially the teenagers! The maintenance property manager came by to help us work the TV and was so very kind. This is a beautiful property snuggled in the Smokies and pet friendly! Very quiet and peaceful! I would highly recommend!

WORST stay we’ve EVER had

We stayed here through AirBnB. This was the absolute worse possible experience we could have ever imagined. If you have any value in yourself & your time DO NOT STAY IN ANY UNITS OWNED BY THESE PEOPLE!!!! We booked a 3 night stay & the AC went out after the first day. The temperature quickly climbed to over 80 degrees for the duration of our stay. We were offered no refund & had to go through AirBnB management to get any amount out of the extremely disrespectful & unhelpful “host”. If we could have left we would have. Save yourself the misery & book somewhere else. Also small issues to note were : a very uncomfortable mattress with a loud squeaky bed frame, dirty walls, a dryer vent that had probably not been cleaned in months, very low water pressure in the shower & a dead snake plant. If you book anywhere this host owns I feel sorry for you.

Unfortunately, the entire HVAC system went out on day two of this guest’s three-day booking. When the guest notified us, we worked to get an HVAC expert out there asap, and it was a weekend. It is summertime in Nashville, and much like the rest of the U.S., we are under heat advisory. We did offer compensation based on Airbnb’s advice and policy. This guest chose to stay for the remainder of the booking. As a professional vacation rental management company in Nashville, we did the best we could for this guest considering the circumstances and have thousands of five-star reviews on our rentals.

Don't use itrip bend, just go with anyone else. i booked with them through vrbo, paid, and the next day they cancelled the trip because of a pricing mistake on their end they said. reg the co-owner admitted it but hey, now it's my problem and i have to start all my vacation planning over. thanks, reg! way to take responsibility for your company. what a waste of my time.

Not a reputable company

House was cute! Had a few issues but nothing to alter our trip to Isle of Palms, SC. It was after our stay that the management company reached out about the key fob being missing. We told them where we had left it (in the seashell filled bowl by the front door). They texted and said they couldn't find it and do I attest that I left it there. I said yes, we read the warnings of the $100 fine and absolutely left it where it was instructed to be left. Minutes later they hit our AMEX. It was then that I went to the web and saw all the bad reviews! Look out. This is not a reputable company!

We like to think the original 5-star review you left for us on the site that you used to book your stay is more representative of your overall experience. In that review you stated: "We loved our stay at this adorable home! Steps to the pool & hottub and just a short walk to the beach…we soaked it all in!! Thanks for having my family!” As you note, we did alert you that the pool fob was missing after your departure. We are billed $100 by the HOA for replacement fobs for the community pool. It is part of the rental agreement that guests must return these fobs or be billed. After we indicated that you would be charged per the rental agreement, you became abusive and decided to leave us a 1-star review. Generally, the few bad reviews we have received are a result of guests not reading the listing or the rental agreement.

The VRBO property named The Pelican…

They're lying. They did NOT come out in person.
Also, they were informed with 15 minutes of my arrival (for a 6-day stay), that I was leaving.

The VRBO property named The Pelican Point, is old and dirty.
The VRBO app portrays a sparkling clean home, but it's not. Within 15 minutes of arriving at this property, I informed the property owner (via the app) that I was going to leave. I did leave and had to find other accommodations…which I did…and they were as expected, immaculate.

It's been several weeks, and despite extensive communication with VRBO, iTrip, and Expedia, they refuse to refund my money (other than the $232 service fee). I gave the property a bad review, and the property owner gave me a bad review. That's OK, I won't be using VRBO again.

I wish I could attach the pictures I took! I sent them about 25 people between VRBO, iTrip, and Expedia. Ultimately, I was told it's up to the property owner to decide who gets reimbursed or refunded. If you could see the pictures, I'm confident you'd agree it was NOT in an acceptable condition when I arrived.

From our team in St. Augustine: This guest checked in for one night. We came out in person to address her concerns, and afterwards she left. This property is loved by all guests who have visited, and it has five-star reviews on Vrbo. Per the rental agreement and our policies, these complaints do not warrant a refund, especially given our responsiveness to her concerns. Our team has provided excellent property management in St. Augustine since 2018, and we strive to provide great service.

Olivia beach manor nelscott suite in Lincoln city oregon

We stayed in the nelscott suite at olivia beach manor. Our stay was from 5/5-5/7 2023. This was our anniversary getaway and we booked through a airbnb. During our stay we experienced the front door not being able to lock which in turn we had to use a chair inside the room to prop under the handle. The bathroom light bulbs were burned out we had to use out cell phone flashlights to see as there was not a window. The outside of the shower had mold and bacteria around the door. The freezer was so thick with ice we couldn't use it because of no room. The toilet Seat was broke and everytime you sat down you would slide around. The above guests were having a party and noise distubance was outside of the house time rules. We couldn't enjoy our hot tub which was directly below their deck and hot tub because they caused excessive splashing due to then being intoxicated. They also vomited over their balcony onto our patio. We tried to make the best of the circumstances and notified the property management of the issues we experienced. They first told us they would deal with it right away and compensate us in someway for our troubles. They took over a month to give us a decision which we were the ones reaching out the whole time and with that they being said they respond via email by saying they appreciate our business and bringing the matters to their attention but they unfortunately will not be able to compensate us for our stay because they felt we should of gave them a chance to remedy what they could control. Keep in mind this is not a regular hotel with staff onsignt not to mention they clearly didn't have housekeeping and maintenance done prior to our check in because this would of been addressed prior to our arrival as they charge a high cleaning fee per guests. We feel very insulted and Darlene dismissed our concerns and brushed us off like we weren't important guests. We
Spoke with Darlene, Devin and Vanessa about our stay and they all 3 gave us the run around. Very unprofessional hospital management and we will not be back. We tried to resolve quietly with them without having to leave a negative review but with the handling of their negligence we felt compelled to lay it out there and hopefully save the heartache and expenses for the next guests. As frequent oregon coast beach goers we have had great experiences at other locations and never had to deal with a company that isn't willing to take care of their guests. Its Sad and unfortunate with the high prices for luxury when one bad apple leaves a nasty taste in your mouth.

This was our first experience with Itrip Vacations and definitely will be the last. Guess i should have looked at their reviews. We stayed at an apartment on marco island, florida with Mark as our host. The trip went great, it wasn’t until a couple weeks after i’m back home that i notice all these private messages from mark demanding a pet fee to be sent through my email for my service dog i told him i was bringing in the “about your trip”. He never once mentioned or listed any extra fees and why wouldn’t this be taken care of when i booked? Seems extremely unprofessional to hound someone after their trip and ask for a fee that is not through airbnb where i booked this trip. I expressed my concerns and reported it to airbnb and he’s being reviewed. He then left a bad review on my page saying i didn’t do my laundry and follow check out instructions LOL We need to watch out for scammers, clearly itrip vacations needs to verify their employees better. Will never book through them again.

Rockaway Beach rental rebuttal

We rented a unit in Rockaway Beach OR. This was one of the worst places we have ever stayed in all our travels! Supposedly ‘clean’, the floors haven’t been swept (much less mopped) in quite some time! (I know as I had to pick up pills I spilled…) Windows were left open - one had no screen. Window coverings are a combo of mix & match. So many ‘issues’ for something that has potential of being a comfy place! No cold water at the kitchen sink and, the hot water temp is hot enough to brew a cup of tea!

Whoever ‘fixed’ this place up needs to go back to trade school! Base moldings are both a mish mash as well as crooked. Paint is missing or peeling from many areas. Why have a king size bed in a room that can not accommodate having a bed that large? (One side is against a side wall and there’s about a foot at the foot of the bed and the back wall!) A cabinet is in the bathroom (holds towels and such) but there’s no toilet paper holder!

Why would you place throw rugs on a slick surface without having a gripping fabric underneath? Such a safety hazard!!

Maybe having weather stripping around the front door might keep some heat in the unit instead of the constant flow of air from outside. Yes, you CAN see the outside…

I guess having a futon as seating is the cheap way to go but at the price of renting these places, a sofa of some sort would be better!

All in all, there is no way this place will ever be recommended! I would love to, atleast, get the cleaning ‘deposit’ returned as our unit was definitely NOT clean or in pristine shape!!

Rebuttal comments… There was NO way to tell anyone though a television was installed, it wasn’t hooked up. There was NO way to alert anyone the windows were open… And why would I even think to check my email when I was busy, driving home? We were the ONLY inhabitants on this property the first night and thought we saw a door open on another unit but couldn’t tell. Again, I would really appreciate my cleaning deposit returned since the unit was not as ‘spic and span’ as you made it out to be!

Our team did not receive any communication during this guest's stay, and we sent a first morning follow-up to ensure everything was in good shape. We did not receive a response. Had we been notified of any issues; we would have resolved them in a timely manner.

Itrip gave access to our unit without any supervision and our permission!

We stayed in Ocean Sands in Madeira beach Florida, room 408 for 2 weeks, April 15th thru April 29th.
Nice stay except we had a water leak which we kept soaked up, we texted Mike from itrip guest services who is assistant manager and he had Skip come from maintenance and thanked us for stopping leak so it didn’t cause water damage to other units. Mike from itrip said he contacted a plumber and gave our information and we would be contacted, we spent 2 days of our trip hanging around to let them in, after 2 days we reached out to Mike again and he informed us they came and fixed the issue! We were not contacted, no one from itrip supervised them! We lost 2 days vacation, have no idea who or what was done in our unit with all our personal property in the unit while they were there!
We were told they wouldn’t compensate us neither would owners! Also owner Liz and Charles, we were led to believe Liz from itrip was owner Liz!
Don’t rent from Liz and Charles nor itrip as we went thru Airbnb and directed to itrip, beware of scam
The unit is nice but does need some updates!
Also would give itrip 0 stars but not an option!

We had to cancel our reservations

We had to cancel our reservations, 8 plus months before vacationing in Palm Desert, due to health issues. Their representative stated that we’d get a refund MINUS $350 for their booking fee. What sort of company does such heinous things to customers? Avoid making any arrangements with ITrip. They are your worst nightmare!!!

iTrip Park City canceled our reservation

iTrip Park City did not honor our reservation with them. They canceled it less than two weeks before the trip. No apologies, no alternative offered, no compensation. Nothing. Now we are stuck trying to find something last minute. We will not use them ever again.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel this guest's reservation because the home is having some items updated during the shoulder season. We were hoping the home would be completed, but it is taking longer than expected. We canceled as soon as we knew. There has been severe weather in Utah, and it has impacted the timeline of the project. These were unforeseen and unexpected delays out of our control.
There are hundreds of available homes this time of year in Park City. We would be happy to help this guest find alternate accommodations.

Stayed at the 840 Reunion Townhome with…

Stayed at the 840 Reunion Townhome with a group of friends. We all agreed that this was one of our best trips together because of the wonderful property and facilities.
Very spacious and modern accommodations, that offer a unique environment for fun, relaxation, and privacy at the same.
We loved the first and second floor accommodations, outdoor pool availability, washer and dryer use, and the full kitchen amenities.
Our view of the sun rising and setting over the beautiful adjacent golf course always made for a perfect day.
We also greatly appreciated the very user friendly location for visiting, shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
Already planning our stay at the 840 Reunion Townhome for next year and can’t wait!

ITrip Snowmass - do not use their online reservations

This company has very strict guidelines for when you’re able to make a reservation. 330 days out. I got up at midnight Colorado time to make the reservation, received 2 confirmation emails (one automated, immediately and one from an employee late morning), but was told by email later afternoon that they canceled it because they had promised it to someone else. They either have an online booking, or they have an in-person booking, not both. Terrible terrible customer service. We are repeat customers. The employee I spoke with by phone finally admitted that they had verbally promised the unit to another customer. We maintain that a company that touts online bookings cannot be both verbal/phone agreements as well as online booking. If the booking was promised and agreed upon prior to the 330 day window, at a minimum it should have been taken off-line, but executing a contract prior to the 330 is contrary to their stated policy.

Unfortunately, we did have to cancel this booking as we had sent a quote to another past guest to confirm a stay for very similar dates. There was an issue with confirming his stay due to international guidelines. By the time we were able to resolve this issue, she had booked her stay, but it was promised to him. We cancelled her booking within hours of her making the reservation. Unfortunately, it is a unique, very sought-after accommodation at the Shadowbrook that many repeat guests request. We were unable to reaccommodate her, and her dates were not flexible. We had to honor our commitment to the other repeat guest who had contacted us before this booking to confirm his stay, and we apologize that we were unable to accommodate both guests.

Itrip terrible management company St augustine Florida

Rented a property via itrip in St Augustine Florida on VRBO. Property was dirty (linens unchanged, food in sink) , and more importantly was under construction when we arrived! There were people sandblasting a deck 5 feet away from us from 8am to 4 pm. When we inquired with neighbors they all knew this work was scheduled. When I informed them of the issues they said they would compensate us for them but now they are unresponsive. ITrip is negligent in renting a property under these conditions and are poor managers.

I have a house in Lake Oswego

I have a house in Lake Oswego, Oregon, and decided to let iTrip manage it. I’m very pleased with that decision, as going on 2 years those dudes are incredible! I think when it comes to iTrip it’s all about what owners you’re dealing with. I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews over 2 years, and couldn’t quite figure it out because the owners in Portland are so amazing. Well, we bought a property in another state and wanted to convert it to a short term rental. I call the local iTrip and leave message…never heard from them! In another state we were thinking about buying in I called iTrip and the dude tells me he’s going to fire over a bunch of “hot lists”. Never saw one! I started to understand the negative reviews more. So it really all comes down to who the owners are! I’m telling you, the guys in Portland Oregon are off the charts amazing. I’ve talked with 5 others total and they weren’t so good. In fact, I ended up doing a property with a different company, and I never thought that would be possible because of how happy with what they do for us in Oregon.

Itrip rental air bnb don’t do it!!

We rented an air bnb from Itrip in Pensacola, FL. The living room furniture was completely unusable to sit on so we had to leave a week early. Itrip neither tried to solve the problem nor gave us a partial refund.

From our team in Pensacola: We were notified one week into this guest's two-week stay that she was experiencing back pain and needed to leave early to see her doctor at home. She requested a refund, and we advised that we would not be able to refund her for early departure, as is clearly stated in our rental agreement. At this point, the guest claimed her back pain was caused by the furniture in the property.

Many guests have stayed in this rental and given it high reviews. We have not received any other complaints about the furniture. This home was furnished by a high-end interior decorator and is less than a year old. We are very sympathetic to her situation; however, we must honor our rental agreement, which the guest signed when booking. The guest was also offered travel insurance at the time of booking and did not purchase the insurance to account for this type of situation.
