My stay at J1 accom was amazing ! I went to Chicago as a solo j1er and being amongst 500 Irish people in j1 accom made it super easy for me to make friends. I was anxious at first staying in a new place but the Accomodation is so comfortable and centrally located it made me feel right at home the minute I moved in. The j1 accom crew organises so many fun activities (run club, 5 a side soccer, boat party) that it makes it so easy to meet new people and make friends. My summer in chicago was the experience of a lifetime and J1 accom had a big part to play in that so I’d recommend it to anyone.

I recently stayed at a J1Accom building in Chicago, and it was an excellent experience! The location is fantastic, making it super easy to commute to work, with public transportation just a short walk away. I never had any issues getting to my job quickly, which was a huge bonus.

One of the highlights of my stay was the Boose Cruise event organized by J1Accom. It was such a fun way to meet other Irish J1ers while enjoying the stunning Chicago skyline from the water. The event was well-planned, and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, making it a great opportunity to socialize and unwind.

The building itself was modern, clean, and well-maintained, with a secure entry system that made me feel safe at all times. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always happy to assist when needed. The only minor downside was some occasional street noise, but it didn’t detract from the overall experience.

I would highly recommend J1Accom to anyone looking for a convenient, comfortable stay in Chicago. The location, fun events, and ease of commuting make it a top choice for anyone, especially if you're here for J1 work visa or just want to enjoy all the city has to offer!

Booked in for this year in New York, was quite anxious at the start as the J1 Visa hasn't went ahead due to Covid, but Paul really gave me and my friends peace of mind. Any concerns we have had there is always someone on the other end of the phone or email with a solution or some guidance. It's really reassuring that we will be staying with a group of students who are all in the same boat as us and staying with a business who has done it all before! We also received great tips on job hunting and other aspects of life in NYC. I would really recommend any student thinking of J1 to stay with J1Accom!

BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!!

Such an easy company to deal with. They were so helpful and were able to answer any question I may have had before setting off on my J1 to New York. I stayed in their building last summer 2019, I was a solo traveller and was very anxious to go to the big apple on my own but with J1Accom my experience was brought to the next level. They by far exceeded my expectation and were very helpful. Once I had arrived and checked in I got to my room and was so happy that everything I needed in an apartment was there, I took a quick nap and then headed out for a night in New York all organised by them, there was multiply event each week so your summer was filled with work fun and laughter by far. Being a solo traveller they placed me with another solo traveller in the same room ( I made friends for life with her). I was so glad I booked with them as the relief of having accommodation sorted before I went over was so ideal let alone the price, considering we stayed in one of the most prestigious neighbourhoods in the Upper East Side how could I complain.
To sum up my whole experience I would highly recommend using J1Accom for your accommodation. It was the best summer of my life and made friends and memories I will never forget.

Best Summer Ever!!
Last year myself and a group of my college buddies headed off to San Fran on a J1. Confused, nervous and having little knowledge of how to get housing/accommodation, we quickly learned of this super friendly and professional company called J1Accom. We contacted them inquiring about accommodation in San Fran/Berkeley. Almost immediately we had gotten a response from Paul. He told us about his building in Berkeley (The Berk) and we were instantly hooked. Paul was so helpful, he had the answers to all our questions and he was so knowledgeable about the nightlife and the hot spots around San Fran. The accommodation in Berkeley was top of the range and it was very affordable compared to a lot of other companies we researched. All the rooms fitted with en suites, we all had our own personnel desks, beds and lockers too. We couldn't have asked for better facilities in the building, they were top class. Our experience would not have been complete if we didn't find Paul. The building was soo safe and secure with staff there 24/7. I am really grateful that Paul and J1Accom helped us last summer. I can't recommend this company enough. If you want your J1 to be complete defiantly send these guys a text or an email and you will not regret it. If I could give a 10/10 i would. Also, your parents wont be on your back because of the security that this accommodation offers. So its a win - win for everyone.
