Classes are alway cancelled, staff can be rude, no parking, never any free machines available.

Contracts don't make sense. No Parity. Some people get good deals others have to pay joining fee and the highest rate £21, you don't get anything for being a loyal customer, no offers or anything they just rip you off when you leave as you have to give 30 days notice to cancel, seems unfair when you cant use the gym for the above reasons.

Best Gym I have been to, lots of room, a lot of equipment and a couple of heavy bags.

Also had separate rooms for different activities / bits, what more could you ask for.

it was my first night at JD gym in Batley! I'm not sure I want to return, it was a very intimidating atmosphere, lots of men stood in groups of 8-10 males, which made it impossible to get on any equipment & the ladies gym was too small... then there was a bit of a scuffle between a teen and a older man where the older man hit the lad who then proceded to run all around the gym trying not get kicked out, I genuinely didn't feel comfortable at all, the lighting in the car park was diabolical it was so dark, most of the lights didn't work! as a woman walking back to my car alone was beyond frightening! I was petrified. the whole experience was well bellow my expectations and I believe the gym should be staffed with at least 3/4 members of staff because if the scuffle would of turned into a fight god knows what would of happened? very disappointe, I think I will stay at my usual gym thanks.

Was super easy to sign up when I first joined. Friendly and helpful staff members that are happy to help with any questions you may have. Looking forward to keeping my membership throughout the whole year. Brilliant gym!!!!!!

The studio where classes take place is freezing cold, it's uncomfortable. It's a fab space with lots of potential, why not lower the ceiling hight to make regulating the temperature effective.

The class timetable wasn't available to preview online when joining, disappointed with a lack of diversity and the timetable in general.

That said Body Pump with Marie is brilliant but due to time of class I get stuck in rush hour traffic and have a nightmare parking. I live a mile away it should take 5/10 minutes traffic dependant but I have to leave 30 minutes before the class.

A simple easy way to sign up , no contract is an absolute bonus 👍 . Love the ladies only section. It's clean , has changing facilities if needed . Water station for filling up bottles . Happy gym goer !! 😊

I was a former member, but cancelled my membership as I work night shifts. Rejoined as JD Gym's are now 24 hour, which is great. However as the changing rooms, showers and sauna are locked from late until 5am, I cannot therefore use the facilities, but am being charged the same membership fee as those that can. I think a fairer 'Off Peak' membership should be introduced, for those that cannot attend during the daytime.

Great gym with lots of equipment to use

Water machine on upper level only
Treadmills not in use or won’t work properly (no incline available)
Showers don’t work properly there is hardly any water coming out
Disappointed to be honest we thought as we joined JD Gyms were market leaders in the Gym Market

Gym pretty good however hygiene in locker room showers & sauna poor..

Many of the treadmills and rowing machines do not work and there are no notices on the treadmills or rowing machines notifying users. I have been a member for 2 weeks now and non of these machines have been repaired causing frustration for users. There is no door on the clothes changing cubicle in the men's changing room. Also, not very hygienic in the men's changing room and washroom area. Location of site is good.

There needs to be about half rectangular bench press Seats so some of our weight trainers can left the heavy weight using the edge of the chair to give a momentum when lifting these heavy weights from laying down to getting it above the chest for chest press.
Hope the management can address our needs to adapt to lift heavy weights.
Lights need to be more bright in Showers.

Nice gym, plenty of equipment. Could do with opening ladies gym earlier.

Can’t get my issue sorted regarding Gym access . I have submitted an incident and received a reply for getting back in 14 days . Does it make sense !

Cold. high and too low barbell bench hinges. No curved manual treadmil.
The first treadmill that I used today was not working!
Sauna was too hot nearly burned my self !
Lighting in showers was dim
But still had decent work out
Had good variety of weight training machines .
Benches for loose weight seat not suitable for me (triangle) I usually use the rectangular/square seats for lifting dumbbells up with legs. Can you change these please?

I was surprised to see no cleaning stations. If there was a facility to clean down equipment after use, I never saw it and certainly wasn’t told about it.
