I have been going to JD Gym for almost a year now. I attend Gemma’s classes which are Pilates, body tone and LBT. She encouraging you but at the same time appreciates everyone’s limitations. She walks round the studio observing everyone to ensure they are doing the exercises correctly and if necessary will give anyone who needs it one-to-to time, which I have benefited from on many occasions. She takes time to get to know people’s names which means people in the class get to know each other. Thank you Gemma for all your encouragement and patience .

Since starting JD gym i have transformed not only my body but my mind. It’s all down to the incredible Gemma. She is a phenomenal PT, a class instructor and a coach for the mind. Gemma knows exactly what each individual needs, she listens, she encourages and shes your biggest cheerleader. Since starting with Gemma my mindset has changed towards exercise completely, she makes you realise that its not all about how much weight you can lift or how much stamina you have, its about showing up for yourself. Building a stronger body and mind for the future, 100 % the best there is.

When i first started jd gym, it was the variety of classes offered so i began to try out different classes, when i came across gemmas classes that stuck with me and ive been doing them ever since, gemma makes you feel so welcome and comfortable, due to a back issue i developed gemma was able to help me continue my workouts by making adaptions to exercises when needed, gemma is very knowlegable and gives great advice and feedback on your performace, she takes the time to help each and everyone make sure they are performing correctly this lead me to begin pt with gemma, gemma also has a lot of training behind her in a different variety of therapys which i have also had and all in all i highly recommend gemma.

I've had alot of hip and back trouble over the last few years so I decided to get a pt, after looking for the right pt I went with Gemma not only is she a pt but pilates coach and more. As thing transpired and after an mri I have a hip impingement with tears to my hip cartridge but Gemma new excaxtly what needed to be done to help me get out of pain. I've still a long way to go but I honestly would not be as far on if it was not for Gemma, the training has been all about doing things slow but quality reps in all the exercises and movements and with all her 20 years experience I would be lost without her. Great experience with Ellie, she always makes sure everyone feels comfortable and welcomed! Whether it’s group classes or 1-1 PT sessions she is amazing!

I was very hesitant about going to a gym, met Ellie Mercer and it all changed not only does she help you get the body you want but she also helps you build confidence and believe in yourself. She puts alot of work into her planning and makes you push yourself even when you want to give up she’s behind you 💯percent that’s an instructor. Never lets you give up. Highly recommended.

I went to the gym nearly 2 years ago to get a PT to help me get into shape. I was introduced to Ellie, it was the best that happened to me. To say Ellie is great is an understatement. I have lost 7 stone since starting my training with Ellie and I have mussels were I use to have flab.

Not one that has always enjoyed going to the gym or even exercise. But Ellie has made the experience amazing, love going to the gym and working out with her. She also has the patience of a saint dealing with me 🤣 she is an amazing PT and would defo recommend her

I joined the gym when it first opened and was kindly helped by Ellie the personal trainer

Ellie gave me a induction to the gym. So friendly and easy going

I have been training with Ellie from the end of September in JD gyms and she has made me feel so much more confident in myself and in the gym. I highly recommend this gym as it has everything you need and more and also Ellie as she is amazing at what she does👏🏼🤍

Honestly, I can't say I overly enjoy this gym. Its filled with teens recording themselves and tiktokers making videos. You just feel so self conscious the whole time you are there.

It is meant to be a place for self-improvement and to disconnect. Not to feel like you are constantly dodging a camera.

The gym itself is alright. I signed up for it because of the first month discount and the saunas. I went there couple of times and I just used the sauna and treadmill because it was super busy all the time.

After about 2 months I tried to cancel my membership so I fill the form on the website I haven't heard anything for about 3 weeks so I decided to contact my local gym directly and they told me that they can't do anything so I should just fill the form which I did fill again after another 2-3 weeks still nothing so I just cancelled the DD because by this time I was charged 2 months for nothing after I cancelled my DD I was contacted them within minutes saying that they got a notification that I've cancelled my direct debit. Fast forward to now, my credit report is affected.

And BTW to this day I did not get an answer to my emails or the forms I filled on their website.

The cancellation of the membership is an absolute nightmare.

I have had several awful experience with their online platform.

First of all, you cannot even reset your password, you never receive the link in your email for the reset. Then you are obligated to send them an email requesting this. At the page where it says they sent you the reset link, they also say that in case you don't receive any, we need to send them an email requesting it, but no email address is available there.

Second, you cannot even cancel or freeze your membership by yourself. Every time you need to send them an email for this.

Just to cancel a membership takes a lot of steps and days to get the confirmation of the cancellation.

In this period of time, I find all of these utterly disappointing and unnecessarily troublesome. As a customer and a user, it's just so frustrating.

Great club, Friendly staff. Will 100% recommend to my friends and family.
