Refund was quick

Terrible experience here

Terrible experience here. Have been buying from this shop over the last 10 years which they would have seen from the account we have. First time we've tried to return 1 item for a refund and found out the policy was within 7-days and not 14-days.
A brave choice when the competitor Pockets around the corner offers double that.
Never again.

We're naturally disappointed to read your review. As an independent family business, our reputation means everything to us, and our team of 14 staff work hard every day to provide friendly, professional service to every customer.

Our in-store returns policy is a 7-day refund period, with up to 30 days for an exchange or store credit. We explain this at the point of purchase, display it clearly at our tills, print it on our receipts and publish it on our website.

When the item was returned, we were unfortunately outside our refund period. In line with our policy, our team issued a store credit, which can be used across both our menswear and womenswear departments.

At the time of the return, our team explained the policy, issued the store credit and understood that the matter had been resolved without issue. We were therefore disappointed to later read a review describing the experience as "terrible".

We completely understand that not everyone will agree with our returns policy, and we respect that. However, we also believe there is an important difference between disagreeing with a policy and the service provided by our staff, who simply followed our clearly communicated company policy in a polite and professional manner.

We will continue to apply our returns policy fairly and consistently to every customer while striving to provide the high standard of service that Jepsons has always been known for.

Poor attitude - very disappointing!!

Very disappointed today with the general attitude of the staff in the shop. Had a faulty item, less than a year old and basically did not want to know. No gesture of goodwill whatsoever!
I have been a customer for a number of years & was quite shocked at their 'not interested' attitude.
You need to look after customers, I certainly won't be shopping in there again!

We're sorry to read this review, as it does not reflect the interaction that took place in store.

The item in question was a pair of sunglasses that had reportedly been purchased around a year ago. Unfortunately, no receipt or proof of purchase was available, and we were unable to locate the transaction on our system. Without any proof of purchase, we are unable to verify when the item was bought, the amount paid, or whether it was even purchased from our store.

Our staff remained polite throughout and attempted to help by suggesting alternative ways of locating the transaction, including checking a bank statement so that we could trace the purchase through our records. Unfortunately, we were unable to progress the matter further without this information.

We pride ourselves on our customer service and are disappointed that this experience has led to this review. We always try to assist wherever possible, but we must also follow procedures that protect both our customers and our business.

Go to Jepsons if you're fed-up of rip-off delivery costs.

Jepsons is one of the few businesses in England who offer great prices and service throughout the UK. No rip-off delivery costs because of your postcode.
They also stock some of my favourite clothing brands and have never let me down. They'll also communicate if there's any stock problem....and even altered a pair of trousers for me so they'd fit.

Brilliant service

I have shopped with Jepsons a few times o line & their service has always been excellent.
They keep you well informed regarding the delivery.
The packaging is always top notch with everything wrapped individually.
On the rare occasion of needing to return an item, Jepson’s staff/customer service are brilliant & the process is easy & the refund actioned very promptly.
A pleasure to deal with this company
