I have just been robbed of €160 from Shaw academy upgrading me to a premier account the last person I spoke to I made it 100% clear I wanted all my information and account details removed from their system they assured me they had done that and now I have had this happen I want a refund and an apology !!!

THEY STOLE $ 1350 FROM ME!
I got the free trial and attached my Russian Visa card while was on a call with them. I guess they hacked my phone data. First they stole around 150$ from that card. I got the money back as I noticed them stealing for 10-15$ every minute after some hours. I got the money back after some months by bank.
As they hacked my phone, they found my American Visa card, and as I don’t have notifications on that one, they withdrew various sum of money day by day getting stuff in the internet in different currencies so I couldn’t trace them. I lost the stimulus check $1200.
I don’t know what to do.

Scammers. Nefarious bad people who take money unauthorised from your bank. Sign you up for “free” trial debit money without permission. Lies, deception, cheating.
Run a few legit courses as a front.
Check Shaw Academy Scam : You Tube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, National Press (The Guardian), Business Publications. Website & petition of people joining together who have been scammed. Run various scams & take money from people with no permission.

Agents will provide misleading information about trials and how they work, charge your card (required to sign up for trial) and refuse to refund your payment, even when you request one.

You people don't even deserve a damn star. This is a big scam. Do not apply for any course here because it is fake. You guys took $10,977.93 from my account I specifically told you guys that I was not a hundred percent sure on doing any classes but yet you're deducting money from my account for classes I was not aware of and did not even attend or sign up for. I will be reporting you guys for fraud and expose you to the media. I will sue you!!!!! You people really got the wrong one this time😡.
So someone called me after 2hours of posting this taking about membership as if I had agreed to sign up for anything. You people are really something els. Don't think your dealing an idiot!!! My lawyers will be I touch

I canceled my subscription a week after signing up, deleted the app, and never attended a single class. I just got billed!!! I will Sue this company if I have to. I am notifying the better business bureau of this scam artist and will demand that some action be taken on a national level to get rid of these people! It’s a disgrace how misleading, pressured, and obnoxious this company pursues closing a deal. I’ve never been contacted so often by any single company in my life!

Out of the blue, Shaw Academy just took money out of my account and activated a premium account I didn't ask for. I have not even been on their site since January, and 6 months later they abuse the fact that they have my card information on their systems. This is just Fraudulent behaviour. I am now asking for a
refund, but realising that they have been carrying out this scam for so long without anyone stopping them.

Absolutely shocking. They debit your account after cancelling subscription. Had to contact bank to retrieve money. They delete all the negative comments on their facebook and Instagram pages and block you from commenting. This company need taking down and FAST before they rip anyone else off.

Beware of this. Don't give this company your credit card info or you will be exposed to lose money. I signed up for a 4-week free trial and cancelled it before the 4 weeks. Then I received a call from someone from the UK saying that I had won 12 months of free premium membership. However, they still proceeded to charge me $69.99 which I did not authorize. I then wrote back asking for a refund and they called me saying they could not refund me. I wrote again and that time I got a refund. I few days after that refund and two days after I had cancelled again with their phone automated system they charged me again this time under a different merchant name on my credit card. I am now asking them for a refund for that second amount and have not received an answer.

I have had the same issue being charged a lot of money out of nowhere. I did get the money back from them eventually after lots of ridiculous emails and phone calls (in which I had to demand they call me as there is no phone number available) but they tried really hard to tell me it wasn't possible before they did actually refund me! Absolute scam and they text you about 20 times a day saying practically the same thing which is annoying in itself! Avoid.

In a nutshell this is a cheaply made, highly diluted set of pre-recorded courses that they are trying to sell as if they’re live lessons with a tutor. To this end they force you to ‘schedule your lessons’ for certain times on certain days, to try and keep up this illusion of it being in real time. Not only is this an insult to our intelligence, it’s also a waste of time and just a way of forcing you to spend as much time, energy and effort on acquiring what little information there is at the slowest pace possible (so they can keep charging you for as long as possible). This is one of the weirdest long-play scams I’ve ever seen.
It also means you can’t adjust the playback speed of the material which is a real pain if you want the tutors to talk at anything faster than a snail pace.

The sheer lies this company is willing to dish out is highly disturbing. One example here was sent after I’d signed up to a “Diploma In Coding & Technology” course; “There are 20 students in your diploma. All of the students on your leader board have signed up for their diploma in the last 30 minutes.”
This email was sent out within seconds of me clicking ‘sign up’. They will stop at nothing to manipulate their users into believing this is a ‘real classroom’ set up. It’s creepy.

They also try and charge you ridiculous money for every tiny bolt-on you can imagine. You want access to course materials? A certificate? More lessons!?!? LIFE TIME ACCESS?! Be prepared to be bombarded with paywall adverts on every page, and in 5 emails per day too.

I’m sure if you’re an absolute beginner in something there will be SOME kind of useful information within the smoke and mirrors. But honestly I can’t see a way of justifying giving money to this company when there are so many excellent resources on YouTube (where you can support content creators more directly, access everything at once, and adjust playback!).

So you realise it’s a scam. You’d like to cancel? Good luck! They make that as difficult as possible, you’ll need to call their office and dodge all the schemes they have for luring you into staying longer so they can snatch some more money out your account whilst you’re looking the other way. Even when you eventually get in to 'schedule for cancel' they ring you touting some 'free extension' which just cancels the cancellation and puts you back on the contract. You just cannot escape.

Whilst I can scarcely believe the audacity this company has to try and market itself as a ‘globally recognised institution’ (pull the other one…) I guess it’s just the latest way to try and trick people out of their money without officially breaking the law.
Please save yourself the trouble of getting involved with them. And if you’re already signed up to a free trial or something….run. Run now and don’t look back!

Was about completing my subscription but the reviews is not a good story at all

SCAMMERS. Be aware of this fraud company. Horrible, scam of a company. They stole my money. I clicked on their Digital Marketing 4 weeks trial advertisement, commencing on the 6th of March 2021 and they have not stopped deducting my money ever since. They would not stop calling me, and I would get random phone calls. Even after the 4 weeks which I did not even participate in, I tried to cancel my subscription.

It began with the website cancellation, which I did. Then on the page it told me that the only way to fully cancel my subscription was to call a number. I tried calling this number but came into no contact with them. They've been deducting $79 a month from me since March, even when I completed all the steps they asked of me to cancel. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. It has only taken me this long to take action as I have been preparing my notes, speaking to authorities and now I am finally ready to take LEGAL ACTION NOW if they continue to deduct from my account, steal my money and do not stop their fraud actions. I have been taking notes all this time behind the scenes. Now that I have all the information I need, I am taking legal action against this company and it's CEO.

I have been building a lawsuit in preparation for all of this, and considering I have also studied Business and Law and know people close to me in higher authorities who can assist, I am not holding back from this anymore. You are over. My next deduction from Shaw Academy would be on the 28th of July, and if I do not get refunded my money by then totaling $316, I am taking this seriously and will be taking legal action.

I am as we speak going to report and launch an investigation with this company with the help of the following agencies:
- Action Fraud
- National Fraud Inlltegence Bureau
- Federal Trade Commission

I have also filed a dispute and investigation with my bank fraud department. I have all the documents and contact numbers that I need to finally support myself and proceed with this action.

You should be terrified. I have my documents, phone numbers and those in the legal team ready to assist me. If I do not hear from Shaw Academy and redeem my own money, there will be seriously unspeakable consequences for this. I am currently in the process of disputing this issue now with my bank. Be prepared Shaw Academy. Your actions and abuse have been beyond unacceptable, taking advantage and you are being warned now. This will not continue to happen.

Se cobraron dos meses a pesar de haber visto solo la mitad de la primera clase, supuestamente el primer mes es gratis, cancelé la suscripción porque a pesar de eso no vi las clases y aun así se cobraron de mi tarjeta, eso paso por dos meses, me quitaron 20$ en total. Ahora tendré que dejar de utilizar esa tarjeta para que no se sigan cobrando ya que no parece que haya forma de cancelar la membresía.

THIS IS A SCAM!!!!! I asked them to cancel my account and followed through with the confirmation call to confirm the cancellation of my account but they still charged me for something that should have been cancelled.
Do Not!!! I repeat DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!! They are extremely difficult to deal with and Trustpilot even said they manipulating reviews to only show good reviews and deleting everything else..

I was deducted 10.44 dollars or 500 in peso currency last April 26, 2021 by this online course under SHAW ACADEMY, at first, I was told that it was free but I did not use their service even their Free service because I already saw a lot of complaints under their name, they even stopped messaging me days after I decided not to continue their service, without any notifications or email or even SMS they've deducted my 500 pesos in my Debit Card which was my emergency fund. When I emailed them to return my money they just insisted that it was authorised even not. I already filed complaint on my card company but they advised me to contact the merchant directly which was very hard since they're just repeating the email they sent to me.

I eventually gave in and signed up for a free trial on Shaw academy after seeing them constantly adverstised on social media.
I read carefully and it said I wouldn't be charged until after the 4 weeks and it was free to cancel anytime until then and that they would actually remind me of this too.
Complete scam.

I have done a lot of courses over the pandemic and this was the worst of them and thats not even taking the price and robbery involved.

Before I even opened the website I had two 50 cent charges on my bank account from them. I then received a phonecall from Shaw academy informing me that I had an advisor and they were there if I needed help and tried to sign me up for all the modules of the course for over €240 even though I hadn't even started.

I only lasted an hour. You have to schedule your classes and how many you do each week. Not flexible. When watching the class you can't pause or rewind even though it is not a live video! After one class I tried to cancel.

Before I got the chance to try and cancel my bank blocked my card because they detected fraud. After spending half an hour on the phone to my bank I got through to a woman who said it was blocked because the small 50 cent charges. Which I never gave permission for. She told me that people call all the time with problems from shaw Academy and they are very dodgy. That was enough proof for me and she offered to block Shaw from my account which I accepted.

I still tried to officially cancel my account but I have not had any luck. They refuse to let you cancel by email. They say you have to call but didn't care that I used up all my minutes to try and unblock my bank account because of their charges.

Shaw Academy is dishonest:
I've signed for the Trial Period and canceled the next day, did not like the course and didn't to spend U$10,00/month for their classes and "certificates". It happens that yesterday there was 2 charges on my credit card, U$10,00 each!
I did canceled again yesterday (this time in their "membership" program) and received an email by Mr. Gregory saying:

I see that, you’ve got charged for the subscription even after cancelling the service.

I've checked your account and it looks like ​subscription was renewed before your cancellation.

As your subscription was not cancelled during the trial period, so the payment was processed.

We are unable to process subscription refunds unfortunately after the trial expiry, as per the terms and conditions.

However, we can confirm your membership is cancelled thus ensuring no further payments will be processed.

We are also providing you with 6-months access. You will be able to complete the courses you initially joined and many other courses.

Additionally, I can add all 4 modules Toolkit for your course completely free, which will cost most than the subscription price. But, let me know to which course you could like to get the Toolkits?
