JournoFinder is literally better than MuckRack and other platforms that cost 3 to 10 times the price. The list of journos/news outlets is extensive. It has direct access to Google News search, from which you can "pull" the journos who wrote relevant stories. The interface for searching/selecting journos is very intuitive and clear. The direct integration with Claude and ChatGPT is INCREDIBLY useful - you can literally get the LLMs to build a hand-picked, totally bespoke mailing list for your stories with one prompt. As someone in public relations, this has saved me hours of work. Their customer service is nuts: close-to-instant replies from one of the cofounders. All in all a great product, and incredible value (you can even access this on a monthly pay as you go basis if you want.) These folks will disrupt the much bigger players, and seem to be able to build faster than them/are more AI-forward.

We’ve tried pretty much everything in this space, including MuckRack, Roxhill & Cision and JournoFinder is easily the best fit for how we actually work.

The database is strong, but the real difference is the workflow around it. The MCP setup is brilliant because it lets us build and refine media lists directly inside our own process, rather than constantly jumping between tools, exporting CSVs, cleaning things up manually, and losing context. It feels much more modern than the traditional PR database model. Love that they’re so early on this new tech!

The quality of the journalist matches has been genuinely impressive. It is not just "here are vaguely relevant contacts", it gives useful evidence for why someone fits, recent article context, and enough detail to make pitching feel much more considered.

Customer support has also been excellent. Fast, thoughtful, and clearly willing to work with users rather than just send generic help docs. That makes a big difference when you are using something daily and need it to fit into real agency workflows.

Honestly, compared with Muck Rack and the other tools we’ve tried, JournoFinder feels best in class. Faster, smarter, and much better suited to modern PR work. Can’t recommend enough.
