Huge scam

Booked the voucher for dinner in the dark, initially couldn't book the actual dinner. Eventually did after multiple emails. Then saw that the company had gone bust. Called the restaurant to check if the booking was valid and they said no, the company had never actually confirmed with them. All a huge scam and now can't get a refund.

SCAM!! They took my money for helicopter ride for 2 people and said we're broken, and no money return.

Bankrupt!

Bankrupt!
It would appear the company has gone bankrupt. There are Instructions on their website for people with vouchers to request a refund, good luck to us all!

From their website 9-Aug-2025:
The company that owns and operates Joyfulexperience.uk has ceased operations after 16 years.

We are grateful for the support we have received over the years from our customers, employees, and partners.

The company has been declared bankrupt, and we are therefore unable to accept new orders.

If you have a valid voucher or gift card, we kindly ask you to submit a request to the contact details below. It is not yet clear whether or how refunds can be made, but all cases are documented and will be handled within the framework of the bankruptcy proceedings.

Please note that the process often takes time. The bankruptcy administration is managed by external parties, and information regarding any potential refunds is expected to be provided in approximately two months at the earliest.

Not a professional company

On Monday I got a message that Dinner in the dark wasn’t happening on 8th August as they sold out a different event at the same restaurant. They rescheduled the date however that date didn’t suit me as it was meant to be a anniversary dinner, I asked for a refund and they offered me the date again (with the wrong day of the week written compared to the date), but said if I still wish to go ahead with the refund to let them know, so I did. Since then have not heard back and that was 5 days ago. DO NOT BOOK! I also got a reminder from them about the event which was also confusing, why would the company send a reminder when they have cancelled the event on that day?!

Disappointing experience from Dine in the dark!!
Received a reminder from them yesterday 7th August for tonight 8th Aug giving us confirmation of restaurant address. I had booked a hotel so would not have to rush home, arrived at the restaurant in plenty of time only to be informed that there was no booking or Dine in the dark happening!!!! DO NOT BOOK
Restaurant were lovely though and saved the day by fitting us in x

Emailed them 5 days ago as only one…

Emailed them 5 days ago as only one dates were available for dining in the dark. Took a while to reply. When they eventually did, i replied immediately to request a refund because of the lack of transparency with the bookings and my gut feeling said something was off.
Lo and behold, no news from them since 31st July. Turn out the company declared bankruptcy.
Now i have to wait to get my refund. If i even get one

I've been trying to reach this company…

I had some issues with booking the experience due to voucher code being denied.

I emailed the support team and they got back to me in 2 days.
They have booked the experience for me and everything seems to have gone smooth. Very good, fast and efficient communication once the case was picked up by someone.

Now lets see what the experience is about next Friday :)

Refund request ignored.

It appears many people are happy with this company, I'm glad some people get a good result. We bought tickets through this company for The Food Walk. When our vouchers arrived I did as instructed and entered our voucher numbers onto the website and asked for two available possible dates. I had an email almost by return saying these dates were not available and asking us to choose others. As no dates were mentioned, I responded asking for dates that the experience was available but received zero response. I've since emailed them several times asking for a reply but have heard nothing in a week now, despite emailing almost every day. I'm now requesting a full refund as they seem unable to supply what we paid for.
EDIT: HAVING REQUESTED A REFUND TWELVE DAYS AGO, I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING. I WILL BE APPLYING TO OUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY FOR A REFUND AS THIS COMPANY DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAILS

Booked for my husband and his friend a…

Booked for my husband and his friend a drive super cars session. No locations available or dates to book.Aproached support team ,which were very nice and promising that they ll look into and come back to me.They never did.After some research I ve realised that that it s like a lottery ticket ,you may be lucky to get your voucers for what you bought or you may not .I did not had a chance to book with them.Nor I believe are to be trust.

The experience was BRILLIANT…

The experience was absolutely fantastic! The acting was honestly 11/10 as was the setup. It was really fun to meet other people to experience this with too. We sat on a table with strangers and by the end of the evening we were all friends! The only thing that needed a little improvement was the food, but the starter and desert were fabulous and portions wise they were generous too. Honestly much better than the majority of interactive shows/ experiences I’ve done before. I’m already looking at going back and taking my dad!

Had the best time ever on the…

Had the best time ever on the helicopter ride! It exceeded all my expectations, the views were breathtaking, I’m so happy I ticked this off my bucket list. For anyone who loves cool experiences, defo recommend this helicopter ride as one of my all time favourite life experiences!
