Well thought out case put forward by the very experienced barrister Mr Shoker in court, getting a good outcome achieved in the first hearing which was greatly preferrable to us. Mr Kang was very systematic and professional- his experience showed in choosing the main lines of defence. The service is not cheap and any extra time with Mr Kang is chargable, meaning the relationship with the solicitor is not very personal but office staff, Patrick and Meghan are quick to communicate on his behalf making the overall level of service high. It's a well organised firm.

I was in desperate need of a solicitor after receiving a court summons letter for section 47 ABH. This being my first time ever in trouble I was anxious as I didn’t know how the system worked.
I came across Kang & Co after a quick google search. I enquired for a callback as I was impressed by the fixed price scheme and the free legal advice. In a matter of hours I was having a call with Mr Kang to which he explained everything to a novice in great detail but in such a way that it was easy to understand and to which made my decision easy to appoint them to defend me.
My case was taking place through Covid-19 which was a bit of a pain but Mr Kang stayed in contact throughout answering any questions and keeping in contact with the courts so that no information was missed.
At both court hearings I couldn’t fault my barrister that Mr Kang had appointed me. He was 100% honest with everything but stood by my decisions to enter a guilty plea. He defended me perfectly and what was potentially looking like a custodial sentence ended in a community order and compensation.

I was wrongly arrested and charged with assault on a police officer. It was the first time I had ever been in trouble with the law and wasn't sure where to turn. I read the positive reviews with Kang and Co solicitors and decided after a phone conversation with Mr Kang to go ahead with representation from them. I was very nervous about the whole event and the impact a guilty verdict would have had on my career. In our first meeting Mr Kang explained in detail the options available to me and explained the charge, and gave the perspective of the officers. He made me feel a lot calmer about the situation and I felt that I had made the right decision. We decided to go to court with a not guilty plea. After receiving the body cam footage it showed me in an unfavourable light. We reviewed the footage together and he gave me his honest opinion, he didn't beat around the bush about it. It wasn't something I wanted to hear but it was an honest unbiased assessment. Kang and Co helped me prepare for court in our second meeting, and on the day of the trial I had any further questions answered by the barrister. I felt I had good representation in court and the outcome was a verdict of not guilty. Thankfully from choosing Kang and Co I didn't lose my job or have my career path closed to me. I contacted Kang&Co Solicitors following 2 quite serious traffic offences (speeding 101 and 103 mph). I was facing 12 points for both offences and 6-12 months driving ban or even worse consequences. The thoughts of being unable to drive were terrifying as that meant I will lose my job, my mobility and my freedom. As a single mother and the only provider, the driving ban could have such a negative impact on my personal and work life.
Since day one I contacted Kang&Co I was satisfied with the information, communication, attention to details, legal advice, legal representation and overall services; until hearing day I had a good contact with Mr Manjinder and his team, always keeping in touch, checking on me and my circumstances and fast response to all my queries.

Having found myself in the unfortunate position of needing legal representation due to an ungrounded allegation that I had assaulted a youth I contacted Kang and Co and was immediately provided clear, concise guidance as to possible next steps and the actions I should take if each or any were to occur.

Having heard nothing from the Police for just under a year I received a call where I was invited for a PACE interview. Immediately the advice from Manjinder became useful as he had advised that the police would position this as a ‘friendly chat’, which they did, and that I should offer no further information other than to agree attendance and that I would be accompanied by a solicitor. At this point I engaged Kang and Co and Manjinder took over all communication with the Police regarding this matter.

At the interview I was briefed by Manjinder prior to the interview commencing with the officer in charge, again he was extremely clear and concise on how to conduct myself in the interview and went over what the allegation was, what that would mean in terms potential outcome if charges were pressed and most importantly how the Police officer may act during questioning and the tactics that may be used.

Even though I had nothing to hide I found the whole experience extremely stressful and Manjinder was correct in that the ‘friendly chat’ was an interview under caution and many questions were targeted to trip me up or get me to incriminate myself. Not the nicest experience and one I hope I never have to repeat but with a successful outcome I am glad its all over, but in the unfortunate circumstance that I need legal representation again I will have no hesitation in using Kang and Co again.
