Emails, calls and website
Emails, both via the website and directly, went unanswered - even though at least one was added to my account! I also rang many times but the calls were never picked up. Basically I tried to cancel the order as I had bought what I needed much more quickly from elsewhere after KMS kept me waiting for months. Had the website had the option to cancel the order this would have helped.
Great business, does as it says on the tin.
Prompt delivery of the ordered item, well packaged and no issues. A great company to buy from.
Online ordering.
I have bought items previously from KMS, mainly at exhibitions. I ordered a Graham Farish Scenecraft item which was no longer available with other retailers. The online ordering process was very easy to complete and I did not have to register with them to place the order. The item arrived within a couple of days as expected and was very well packed.

OK? Not when there is a problem.
This is an update. No response to a fortnight of my emails or phone calls to KMS until after I had reported them to American Express. KMS had taken my money when the item was not in stock but their website said it was indeed in stock. I told them in an early email that the manufacturer, Rapido, had told me they had no early plans to re-issue the item in the colour I wanted.
Charging for items not in stock is the prime reason for users giving them bad reviews. The positives seem to be from people who got no-problem deliveries of in-stock items . But when there are problems this company is just dire.
Tracking no.
Tracking no. would have been helpful for receiving delivery. No other issues.
Such poor (non existent) communication
Such poor (non existent) communication! Have been chasing an order which showed as ‘in stock’ but has not even been dispatched. Answering machine every time, and no response to emails. Very disappointing having spent quite a considerable amount with KMS over the past year. I can only assume the items are not in stock despite the website stating they were but surely, a bit of communication should be standard!?
Please be very wary of ordering from their website because if something goes wrong you won’t be able to sort it!

Appalling company
Appalling company. Placed an order that said the items are in stock. Then I get an email saying they are on back order. I emailed to see if they had any idea when they would be in. No response to emails. Had to report to PayPal to get a refund. They ignored the claim and eventually PayPal decided in my favour. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

I have waited 13 days for a fairly simple order. Was informed two days after ordering that some items out of stock - wire!. I have telephoned twice and left a message, but call back or email has not been forthcoming. Does anyone answer their phone? Poor customer service. I have no idea if my order will be fulfilled soon.

Despite initial panic when informed items were on "backorder" my email was obviously read and all the items were dispatched promptly. Have arrived in good time for birthday. Many thanks for the excellent service.
Customer relations needs work.
I do find it most annoying when items show stock only to be notified after paying there not ! I'd ordered numerous items then got notified on back order, what exactly, I had no idea. After a week or so of no comms I inquired as to what exactly was waiting on.. no comms again for a week or so, 19 days later with request to cancel finally got an answer, turns out after ordering 16 items mainly track, kept me waiting on a couple of packs of joiners, seriously? You know your're spending hundreds of pounds, you might think to keep customer relations , sorry about that have 5/10% off your next purchase, nothing, and if I order track that's coded in a pack and listed in a pack, I expect to recieved it in a pack! or otherwise would expect it to be cheaper and told it would be wrapped together with elastic band ! Won't be in any rush to use again.
Very poor service!
Item ordered from website but was not in stock and called a "pre-order". I tried to cancel the order with them but they didn't respond. I tried phoning several times, but the phone was never answered. In the end I gad to claim money back via PayPal.
What can I say. Very poor service. Why not answer emails or pick up the phone?
Reading the reviews, it seems you either get brilliant service, or none at all. Mine was an unsatisfactory experience. I hope you fare better!
