I bought Koala LTD (lifetime deal) plan back in March 2023 which is something I feel I need to disclose right off the bat because at the time of writing, you can no longer buy lifetime packages and I can imagine that won't be coming back.

However, it is the best investment I ever made because 3 years later, Koala continues to evolve by adding new features and improvements and everyone benefits including subscribers and those on the LTD lane. That's a huge testament of the dedication the Koala team has towards their customers.

I'll start with the community first. Relatively small community but the active members are super helpful and the admin is very open to feedback and suggestions. I don't really engage too much with the chat because I'm still learning the AI ropes, but it looks like a great hub to get started and even by just lurking, you can learn a lot of things.

As for services, I cannot comment too much about the KoalaWriter component. I've generated a few articles and over the years, it has gotten better. My biggest positive about this feature is the generous "generation costs". When I first purchased the deal, I believe the high-quality model was GPT-4 and its costing was 5x the word usage (each plan allocates a monthly word count). Now you have GPT-5.4 which costs 2x and Claude Opus 4.6 3x which means you get can more usage for higher quality outputs for the exact same price. That's a huge deal for me!

Though reviewing as a writer, I still prefer writing content myself and I use this more of a research tool for ideas and using NotebookLM for fact checking. But I do appreciate the vast array of options such as tone setting, language, outline editing, and other cool things. Koala is like a user-friendly front end where you can type a basic prompt and it will spit out some compelling information. They also recently launched some other tools focused more on the SEO side of things. I'm still learning SEO so I can't comment much there just yet.

My favorite features of KoalaWriter are the KoalaChat and KoalaImages features. KoalaChat is your typical chatbot that has the essentials and lets you choose from Claude, GPT, and Gemini 3 Flash options, but it is still tuned for writing as their Prompt Library has all these templates and you can define your own too (plus there is a great #prompt-engineering section in the Discord for more ideas).

The KoalaImages also has a handful of models each with credit costs and also some pre-defined templates that can enhance basic prompts. Fun little tool to tinker with if you want to consume credits before a monthly reset. That feature has also evolved throughout the years and provides great bang for the buck.

But I set the date of experience to 05/23/2025 because it marked the first time I built a chatbot that uses the Koala API features and I used KoalaChat to do it so feel pretty proud. I don't think it's the best tool for coders, but it's still a nice extra perk considering the KoalaWriter and the rest of the features use separate credit buckets.

The current subscription price is decent in my opinion as long as you heavily use one or two of the features. But if you maximize your KoalaWriter usage while tinkering with the other features, I think the subscription cost pays for itself. It's a terrific learning tool if you are new to AI, great community, and may potentially give you an edge if you are a late SEO bloomer like myself.

I honestly have no clue where these bad reviews are coming from because KoalaWriter has been the best AI article draft software on the market since the very beginning, and I would know since I have tried out virtually every AI writer I have seen hit the market(with the exception of Cuppa🤢🤮).

The founder of Koala is without a doubt the best in the business and is also the lead developer so clearly the guy has skills.

He has honored the LTDs since the beginning(which is very rare in the lifetime deal space), so integrity can not be questioned.
He refunds people that don't deserve refunds, he helps users that refuse to read or help themselves to all the information provided, and has always explained everything clearly, then picked the honorable path every time that I have seen and I have been in the community for over 3 years now.

Customer service is awesome with Krisha heading the charge here.

Anyone saying they waited a day+ probably messaged on a weekend and just doesn't like that Koala gives it's employees a proper work life balance, there is a great community to help with most issues as well.
Patience is a lost skill in this world of AI, everyone expects instant answers but then complains about talking to an AI in customer support when the humans have days off.

Article Editor is not just an editor, which has been a big want for me for a couple years now but they went ahead and added SEO keyword insertion just because they could. This is just the most recent update, all the amazing things from before are still there and work great, if I listed everything you would have to pay for the book(which btw MANY books have been written with Koala).

There are so many things you could talk about, you don't need AI chat software because you have KoalaChat.
It has internal linking with KoalaLinks.
It has AI tool creation with KoalaMagnets so you can easily build AI tools for your niche in minutes.
It has AI images with KoalaImages so you have the perfect source for fun social post creation along with complete image creation freedom from multiple of the best models out there like Ideogram, Nano Banana, Phoenix, and GPT image models.

The community is the best out there, I have life long friends I met here, I could not recommend Koala more and this comes from someone that has spent thousands on this software over the last 3 years.

That being said, I never did get the Scale 3 LTD Krisha has been failing to send me details to, so that's really my only complaint. 😂👍

I've been using the software since early days and it has come a long way in that time. Recently I had been using it alongside Straico and Magai (depending on the use case). However I have found the new Brand DNA feature (now in Beta for Professional users) extremely helpful with insights and suggestions, based on a brand knowledge base. The Growth Agent in particular has been excellent in identifying low-hanging fruit.

I had credit there but because I didn't spend it, all credits are gone and I can subscribe again, no thanks!

Avoid using Koala Writer. This product is marketed as an “AI writer,” but in reality, it’s a low-quality tool that can seriously damage your websites.

All the positive reviews you see online are either paid for or written by affiliates earning a commission. Notice how most blogs posting “glowing” reviews about Koala Writer have their comment sections disabled — because they know they would be flooded with negative feedback from real users.

My personal experience: I used Koala Writer across more than 30 of my websites. The result? Every single one of them was banned by Google. The content this software generates leaves obvious footprints of automation, and search engines detect it quickly.

By contrast, articles written with ChatGPT-5 consistently rank in the TOP-10 for competitive keywords. The difference is huge.

⚠️ Conclusion: Koala Writer is not a helper but a threat to your business. Stay away from this software if you don’t want to lose your projects.

Really shameful business practice, with a subscription system. No longer possible to buy packs individually. Non-existent customer support, whether on the site or on Discord. No response to questions. To be avoided.

Title: Extremely Disappointing Experience with Koala.sh

I chose Koala.sh for its integration capabilities with my Ghost website, but my experience has been incredibly frustrating. Despite paying for their service and hiring a professional freelancer with extensive experience in integrating AI with websites, the integration failed to work. My freelancer reached out to Koala.sh for support, but he received no response. He then asked me to contact them directly.

When I first reached out, it took Koala.sh three days to respond, and their initial advice was to explain the issue more clearly. I provided a detailed and precise explanation, but their follow-up response was even more disappointing. They admitted they had no idea why the issues were occurring and simply offered a refund.

This lack of support and unwillingness to troubleshoot the problem left me feeling that they couldn't be bothered to assist further. The entire process has been a waste of time and money, and their customer service is severely lacking.

For those considering Koala.sh, I would advise looking elsewhere. Their platform did not meet expectations, and their support team failed to provide any meaningful assistance.

Koala is definitely the best AI writer out there. I've tried all the others like Jasper, CopyAI, Junia, Cuppa, and whatever else, but Koala wins hands down every time. It's super versatile, and I even snagged an extra discount by using the coupon KOALA20 at checkout.

Plus, having Koala Chat and Koala Images is a game changer! It saves me from having to subscribe to ChatGPT because usually, what Koala offers is enough for me.

Don't get me wrong, the main reason to use Koala is to crank out SEO-optimized texts for Google, and now they’ve also got options for social media articles.

Koala AI Writer is a scam. I paid $2500 for a lifetime subscription. After I started discussing the poor quality of this AI writer on the forum, because all websites where I used it went to the search engine ban in just 1-2 months after publishing content on them, the creator of the Koala AI writer banned me and canceled my subscription without refunding a dime of my money. The subscription I paid for was for life, but the creator of this AI writer banned me after 4-5 months just for an honest review with lots of screenshots and other proof.

Also, you should be aware of the fact that they prohibit their users from writing negative reviews about them, under the threat of banning the user's account. This is one of the clauses in the user agreement! But this is a violation of the Consumer Review Fairness Act.

After my subscription was canceled without any explanation, I wrote several emails to support. All of them remained unanswered. In the end, when I wrote another email that I would write a review about how I was deceived by canceling my lifetime subscription for which I paid $2500, the owner of this service wrote me the following: "If you fraudulently file a dispute or falsely slander me then I will take the necessary action which will include reports to the police, immigration, and your bank."

But my review is honest and I have plenty of screenshots to prove it. Threatening and intimidating a customer you scammed out of $2500 dollars by selling them a lifetime subscription and canceling it after 4-5 months is shameful.

Avoid it.

UPDATE AFTER KOALA RESPONSE:
This guy is lying again. Because, FIRST, my account was blocked and for 2-3 months absolutely all my requests to support team remained WITHOUT ANSWER, and only then I started using profanity in my emails. It is very funny to accuse a client of using profanity after you block the account and do not respond to his emails asking him to explain the reasons for blocking for 2-3 months.

Also, in the last email this guy wrote to me the following: “You used Koala very actively, spending a lot of credits, so I’m blocking your account.”

I spent as many credits as I paid for when purchasing a “lifetime subscription”. This is 1 million words of ChatGPT-3 per month. This is included in my subscription plan. And I couldn’t spend more than what was allowed in my subscription plan. Thus, I used my subscription plan as much as I paid for.

As a result, the lifetime subscription was canceled by the seller unilaterally without explanation, and now this guy is trying to make excuses.

Thus, if I had used the original ChatGPT-3, I could have used it for 10 years (without any word limits in articles), rather than for 4-5 months in Koala, after which my account was blocked without explaning the reason.

Anyway, just remember that this company is violating US law by forbidding its customers to write reviews that they don't like. Absolutely all positive reviews about Koala are written by "affiliate partners" who get %% of sales. I was also offered to write good reviews for %% of sales, but I didn't do it because I found very low quality content that I can't recommend.

Avoid these scammers, they sold me a lifetime subscription for $2500 and canceled it after 4-5 months with no explanation, embezzling my money, and threatening me with immigration police (this guy knows I'm an immigrant because we once discussed this with him). But I'm not afraid of that. Moreover, my review is honest.

Best AI writer out there. The possibilities are perfect for your writing, from Image generation to interlinks, and creating outlines, this makes it the Swiss army knife of AI writers.

Scammers cannot cancel a subscription cannot contact, 3 charges without possibility to cancel every month I have to check if it is cancelled I see that it is not.

I have initiated the dispute with the bank because they are providing false information. Also I have the emails where they tring to bribe me to remove the trustpilot review.

Koala is the Rolls Royce of AI writers. There is constant updating and adding new features that let you control the output and accuracy of this AI writer. Tremendous support and the developer is online daily listening to our suggestions and doing rapid fire fixes.

This is the best AI Writer out there. Ignore the complaints from individuals who foolishly claim that their words are being stolen. Disregard their reviews. The Koala team clearly states that using gpt 4 requires five times the usual credits.

It's baffling how people desire to utilize AI for writing, yet lack basic reading comprehension skills.

I am a longtime customer of this product and was there since it was merely a twinkle in the developer's eye. I see some crazy reviews of people who fail to read the notices and warnings when using the product. The difference between choosing GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 is price and quality. Even though Koala's GPT-3.5 output is much better than any of the mainstream competition it cannot beat its own articles using GPT-4. Even though GPT-4 currently costs 5 times as much credit many people find it worth it and have built profitable blogs using it (even after taking into account a large investment into Koala).

I highly recommend this tool to anyone in the SEO industry whether you are a veteran or just getting started. However, if you are going to test this product remember that GPT-4 COSTS FIVE TIMES (5X) AS MANY CREDITS (as of now). This will eventually come down as time goes by but not in lockstep with OpenAI costs because the developer does a lot of processing and real-time data analysis to produce the article. If you try to write a 2000 word article with GPT-4 it will cost you 10000 credits (FIVE TIMES MORE). The developer is highly responsive, extremely competent, and very sincere in dealing with customer complaints. However, don't expect a refund for not being able to read directions. This company is simply the gold standard for a SaaS product which is unfortunately rare in this age.

The service was not good for me because the balance was depleted quickly, and not in a real way.

Credits are running faster than in the casino... Multiple billing for the monthly subscription... After I complained in the Discord chat, I was told I had used up all 45k words with 3 articles and was blocked in the chat. So basically I can't communicate with them except by email. The deception here is that the company tells you that the words are easily exhausted due to using ChatGPT4, but I have been using it for over 8 months and never wrote 4000 words in an article... Another point is that you can't see the word usage for any one article, just some aggregation... I have never felt so screwed...

Update 1: Reading the response of this questionable company that calls their customers individuals and closes their accounts after they have requested a statement of exactly how these words/credits were used, I want to confirm that my money was refunded only because they were told that if they did not send us the statement we would be ordered to return the double payments. Since the credits were purchased for a company with the intention of using this software, we need to be able to report the activity and expense, which you will not find with this organization.. I don't want to go into detail but when you call your customers individuals and say you don't like their behaviour just because you asked them to send a statement, for the credits spent and they end up closing your account, something is wrong...
Update 2: The amount was refunded, so no need for receipt of the refunded transfer. Never mentioned that we used Koala services for 8 months, we mentioned ChatGPT4, the source that you state to use for content creation...

Very much enjoy the service, creates quality articles. My only concern was the cost of the GPT-4 at the moment, but understand the reasoning for the same, and compared to what I used to pay for writers it's worth it.
