We've had a fantastic experience. They have really listened to what we were looking for and matched us with tutors who suit our children perfectly. The tutors are not only highly knowledgeable but also great at connecting and explaining things clearly. It's made a huge difference.

The professionalism of the tutors and the very good customer service

Lanterna's website is easy to use and organised. The tutors on the site are extremely kind and provide well structured lesson in their subjects. Staff and Tutors are quick to respond to emails. It is quite expensive but I would defiantly recommend and I am grateful to be able to use their services :)

We constantly have great support from Isabel, our customer support. Also, the teachers are very dedicated. When one teacher was not available, Isabel managed to find a substitute within a few hours.

Lanterna’s tutoring quality can be excellent, but their coursework (IA/TOK/EE) support policy is disappointing. Tutors are instructed to charge two hours for a one hour tutoring session while only providing very general feedback, which doesn’t feel proportionate to the support actually received.
That said, my experience with my math tutor, Mr. Kembo, was genuinely great. The explanations were clear, focused, and extremely helpful for understanding difficult topics.
I also want to highlight how helpful the accounts manager, Isabel, was throughout the process. She was very responsive, often replying very quickly, and helped me a lot when I had issues with payment methods. Her support and professionalism were a big reason I felt comfortable committing to the service in the first place.
Because of the strong tutoring and support experience overall, I still have a positive impression of Lanterna.

The signing up process is pretty easy but we had the consultation beforehand which explained everything clearly. I like that you can change the tutor if the fit wasn’t good or cancel the lessons by the 2nd lesson. MY daughter has done IB Chemistry HL and Maths HL and both tutors have been really helpful.
Expensive - but worth it.

Our two sons started working with Abdul Mouiz for their Math HL class. They started in their junior year and increased the intensity throughout senior year and into IB preparation. What impressed me the most was the self confidence and comfort which they gained during that time. Both ended up being solid 7 Math students which also helped them immensely in their first college year. Thanks a lot to a great team at Lanterna and particularly to Abdul!

Lanterna is highly organized and well structured. The professors are all experienced IB teachers and examiners who are always available to help students fully understand the topics in their chosen subjects. I 100% recommend Lanterna.

After receiving a 2 in my Chemistry exam in May, i believed I would never be able to comprehend Chemistry as no matter how hard I would try, it would just go through one ear and out the other. However, my incredible Chemistry tutor Esteban has completely changed that for me. Although I am uncertain with how my exams went, the experience of learning with Esteban has been a journey in which I have enjoyed every second of it. Esteban made these lessons seem like a casual conversation. He would listen with his fullest attention to my most stupidest questions and answer without me feeling bad about myself. I built a connection with Esteban I would never in a million years have thought would ever be possible. For this, I am and will always be incredibly grateful to Lanterna Education for providing me with such an excellent tutor like Esteban. He is truly a hidden gem. No matter the results, he has healed my previously damaged relationship with chemistry for the better. If anyone were to ask me to recommend a tutor for Chemistry, I would in the same second reply with "ESTEBAN". I have enjoyed my experience that much that I am even considering selecting him as my tutot for my Mathematics SAT prep :D 10/10 tutor

Excellent advice concerning teachers: Teachers can be swapped any time. Teachers can start right away with a possibility to teach every day (in case it’s necessary/wanted). Very useful and competent teaching!
Be aware of time differences in case the teacher is located somewhere else in the world.😛
