Lap of Love
losing a member of our family was very hard. Many thanks to Lap of Love for their professional and caring attitude. Dr. Kristi Gannon explained the process of what was going to take place and what to expect. I couldn't have asked for a better Vet to come to my house. I would recommend Lap of Love to everyone.

Dr Nikki Lynch, veterinarian with Lap of Love, is an angel of kindness. When the time came to assist our beloved dog and family member cross the rainbow bride, Dr Lynch's knowledge, professionalism, kindness, and comforting support made the experience of assisting our dog let go, proved to be a very positive and loving moment. Dr Lynch's services exceeded our expectations.

The same day I found out my dog was going to suffer, I called lap of love and the person I talked on the phone was very caring and explained everything to me from the prices to private cremation and how was going to be the process at my house. Dr. Jaclyn was awesome she was very calm and gave me peace on how the process was going to be, she was very respectful of my time with my dog. Dr Jaclyn took the time to talk to me about my Speedo and how he was when he was a puppy until that day. That conversation calmed me down.

A week later I received the ashes of my Speedo in a beautiful box. My experience with lap of love was excellent.

I’d give 0 if I could. We used “Lap of Love” in Austin. The vet didn’t follow the protocol she told us she would and caused our kitty’s last moments to be full of panic and fear. My entire family was traumatized, and I cannot imagine how my sweet kitty must’ve felt. I’ll never forgive myself for letting them into my house to inflict such trauma on my precious kitty. It breaks my heart. Avoid at all costs!!

disappointing. good customer service but quality does not seem to exist here. especially follow through is not really a follow through. does not worth time and money if you ask me.

I cannot recommend Lap of Love or Dr. Kathleen Ward. I’m writing this so no other family has to go through what we did. What should have been a gentle, love-filled goodbye for our 16-year-old cat, Shuggie, turned into a heartbreaking nightmare.
From the very first call, something felt wrong. Dr. Ward said she’d be arriving early without asking if that was okay, offered no words of comfort, and seemed focused only on ensuring the consent form had been signed. (It had been signed, and she should have checked her email instead of burdening me with this detail. I had enough to contend with having to say goodbye to my beloved cat, and the fact she was now coming early and time was even shorter.)
When it came time to sedate her, my partner asked Dr. Ward to sit with us on the couch where Shuggie lay peacefully purring in my lap. Instead, she chose to stand over her to administer the shot. I believe this is why she missed the mark. I believe she hit the bone which is why Shuggie reacted in sudden pain and fear, biting and scratching us for the first time in her entire life. It took three attempts, and rather than showing concern or taking responsibility, Dr. Ward coldly said, “She bent my needle.”
At this point I was sobbing hysterically and uncontrollably. Dr. Ward said “Well, I told you it wouldn’t be painless”. Her words were devastating and unnecessary. There was no compassion, no empathy, no remorse, just detachment. She took no responsibility for her actions. She rushed through the process, saying she “didn’t have all day,” leaving us no time to calm down or say goodbye. On her way out the door, said to my very stunned partner, “I’m sorry it did not go as Caryn had hoped.” Another insensitive comment that completely undermined the gravity of the situation. In retrospect we wished we had the wherewithal to ask this question, were you happy with how it went, Dr. Ward?
We’re left haunted by what happened. Our last memory of Shuggie is not of peace, but of panic and pain, and a violent death. We can’t even begin to grieve properly because the trauma overshadows everything. I share this in the hope that no one else ever has to endure such a cruel, careless goodbye to a beloved pet at the hands of a vet and company that is allegedly built on compassion.

I can't recommend Lap of Love. I chose to have my cat cremated privately. They told me the ashes are delivered to my veterinarian and that's where I would pick them up. Even though the vet that came to my house confirmed my veterinarian's name and street address with me, and the follow-up emails had the correct name, Lap of Love sent the crematorium the WRONG vet name and address. My cat's ashes were delivered over 2 hours away from me. I had to make numerous phone calls and send multiple emails to find out where she was and to get her ashes delivered to me. It's appalling and it was a horrific experience. I told both them and the crematorium they need to put some type of quality control check in place so this never happens to anyone again.

Dr Sarah was a GOD send from LAP OF LOVE.
Exactly 30 days ago, we used LAP OF LOVE and Dr Sarah...again today we are using them once again for our 12 yo Golden w a large lung tumor.
Dr Sarah was the best thin in the world for this sad time.

She was prompt, professional and above all, KIND.

Sarah, we will be seeing you in a matter of hours today, and I would not want to go through this again with anyone but you.

Professional and kind. Didn’t rush us at all through the process and even shed a few tears with us. Loved being able to honor my pet before she went to heaven.

The best decision we made for our dog’s BE. They were so patient, understanding, and full of love for my dog and my family. I always recommend them to friends and clients.

I had to make the painful decision to end my dogs suffering and was referred to lap of love by a friend who had used them.

It was suggested I use a specific doctor and I had forgotten her name and was scheduled with Dr Suzanne.

While she was very nice, I felt very rushed- almost as if I was supposed to not take my time with my dog before never seeing, touching, and interacting with him again.

Right before the final injection was administered, the Dr twice said "let me know when you're ready"
That alone made me feel as if I was taking too long
I thought I was going to be left alone with him for a few minutes just for some privacy and instead the doctor went out to the car and came right back in with the stretcher.
I instantly felt as though I was supposed to help get him on there so she could leave.

I spent a few seconds with him as he was in the back of the vehicle while the doctor stood directly behind me making me feel pressured to get out of the way so the door could be closed.
I was asked if there were any courtesy phone calls that could be made and relayed the name of my vet and I can only assume that the call was not made as the vet has now emailed me to remind me of my deceased dogs wellness exam appointment that needs to be scheduled.

I regret that I did not do my research on the different options out there for in home euthanasia as this was not a good experience for having paid a lot of money.
I feel as though it should have been smoother and more peaceful and it was not.

Lap of love is wonderful. This service provides in home care when it is time to say goodbye to your pet. At such a heart wrenching time it is so much nicer to have a vet compassionately care for your pet in the space they’re most comfortable in surrounded by their family without time constraints that are felt in a clinic. I can’t recommend it enough.

Having your best friend put down is hard enough. It took me months to finally decide it was the best for Buddy. I still ache in my heart each day without him. I hope he can visit me when he gets the chance. My other dogs felt lost looking for Buddy around the house and in the backyard but they are slowly healing too. The staff on the phone was so wonderful and understanding. I cried on every phone call. I didn't have to say much because they knew what I was feeling. Dr Carol came to my house to visit Buddy the day before and on that day. She was so caring and lovely. She was the perfect doctor for us! Dr Carol explained the process and gave me plenty of time to hold and love my little man during this moment. Lap of Love was very professional but more, they were like family. Dr Carol took care of everything so I was able to be with Buddy. I'm elderly so I pray to be able to see Buddy someday. Thanks, Lap of Love I'm so glad I found your videos on YouTube. Thanks! Even the employee that I spoke to several times, was so compassionate. Even the vet who came to my home seemed sincere. made me comfortable about my decision. I will use them again if necessary for my other fur babies. Even when they took my baby from my home to my car. The back of her vehicle was decorated in purple flowers and a love sign. was so beautiful. The doctor let me know step by step what she was doing.

Lapoflove.com is an amazing service. The staff and vets are incredibly professional, sympathetic and respectful. There is not a more difficult thing than having to put down your pet, and having to do this procedure at the vets office is so informal and seems so clinical and it’s also scary for the animal! Luckily lapoflove.com is there to help people who care about the end of their pets life, And want to make sure it’s a peaceful and beautiful experience. I used them when my 14-year-old dog Hurley, who was my best friend, my ride or die, my confidant and favorite cuddle pal had a serious decrease in her quality of life. I was so ambivalent about what to do as far as ending her life because although I knew she was in so much pain, I just couldn’t bring myself to take her to a vets office where she would be scared and confused. I found lapoflove.com and I was amazed that there was a service just like this. I spoke with the receptionist who is super friendly and super helpful and she was able to set up an appointment within 24 hours, She asked me so many important questions and listen to me with patience and empathy and then explain to me how the appointment would go the following day. The vet came the next morning; she was an amazing, super caring, super understanding and super compassionate woman Who immediately made us feel informed and comfortable with what was about to happen. She was so respectful of our house and our space and what we were dealing with. She was able to give us a paw print cast and actually shaved a little bit of hair off of the back of my dogs ears for us to keep! She asked us to find a spot that Hurley would be comfortable in, somewhere that had sort of been Harley’s hanging out spot. She waited until we were ready for her to administer the medicine. She walked us through every step of the way making sure we knew exactly what was going on with Hurley and what she was feeling. She administering the medication’s without any problem and Hurley drifted off so peacefully it was almost like she was taking a nap. Once the entire procedure was over, she gently wrapped my beautiful beloved dog in a soft blanket and placed her gently into a basket that was beautiful and waited until we had said our goodbyes and had our final embraces, and then I gave her permission to take her away. At no point did the vet ever rush us, she gave us as much time as we needed to be with her Lee after she passed before she took her. We were given the option to cremate her alone and have her ashes sent to us. It was a little bit extra but the other option was to have her cremated with other animals and spread in a park somewhere here in Washington. I don’t judge anyone that decides to do that version but for me, and for the relationship I had with my Hurley, I felt like the best thing was for me to have her be cremated alone and to be able to have her ashes myself. The ashes came in a few days. They were put in this ornate beautiful hand-carved box with Hurley‘s name on it. Its so beautiful And absolutely fitting for my best friend to be laid to rest. I’m so grateful for the amazing service given by this company for a relatively inexpensive cost. To be able to have my dog pass in my home gently and pain-free was a gift that I was so fortunate to be able to give her. Although it doesn’t make losing a pet any easier it is nice to know there is an option that is so much better than just taking your dog to the vet where it can be so busy and loud and you’re just one in the line of people waiting for their turn. Lapoflove.com is a far superior option in my view, an option that is way more respectful of the animal and the people grieving. I would recommend the service to everyone and anyone who is dealing with a end-of-life stage animal. You can’t get a better team of people, they are 100% understanding, compassionate, and they are not motivated by payment (unfortunately like many other Vets are). To top it off they even wrote us a letter days later to check up on us to make sure that we were doing OK with our loss and even gave us informational pamphlets with support groups and other resources to help us with our grief. I apologize for the long review but I cannot say enough good things about this company, this website, the staff, and the service, it is a godsend for me and my family and I will be singing their praises until I can no longer sing.
