I am extremely disappointed with the lack of respect for customer privacy. I continue to receive unsolicited promotional SMS messages despite reaching out multiple times through email and social media. Formal Complaint: Non-Delivery, Misleading Information & Poor Customer Service

Dear Dr. Lasantha Mudalige,I trust that you will give this matter your personal attention and ensure that it is resolved promptly and fairly.

I am writing to formally bring to your attention a serious complaint regarding my order placed on 7 April 2026 through Lassana.com for delivery to my family in Sri Lanka. I selected the delivery time between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM on 13 April, yet as of 11:30 PM on the scheduled date, the order has not been delivered, and my family has received no communication from your delivery team.

The order, worth USD 60, was paid in full. My family contacted your customer care team three times on the delivery date, but the responses were unhelpful, inconsistent, and provided no meaningful resolution. At around 10:30 PM, a customer service representative provided a number claiming it was for an “operations manager,” but the number and details given were false. This is deeply concerning and reflects a lack of professionalism and integrity that is not expected from a reputed company.

This is not the first time I have experienced issues with Lassana.com. On a previous occasion, a smaller order (approximately USD 10) was also not delivered, and no refund was provided. At the time, I assumed it was a one-off issue and chose not to pursue it further. However, this repeated failure shows a worrying pattern of negligence and disregard for customers.

If your company cannot guarantee delivery within the agreed timeframe, it should not accept such orders. Customers place trust in your service—especially when sending gifts to family from overseas—and failures like this cause distress, disappointment, and financial loss.

I respectfully request the following:

• A full and transparent explanation for the non-delivery
• Clarification regarding the misleading information provided by your staff
• Assurance of corrective action to prevent this from happening again

I just ordered a cake and a flower boquet for my boyfriend for his birthday .The cake was delicious and the flower boquet was awesome.A special mention goes to Ernest from the Negombo Branch for his service .He was friendly and ready to help each time

I placed an order for a valentines gift…

I placed an order for a valentines gift a week ago, to be delivered on the 14th February from UK for my fiance!
It's already 15th and still haven't received the item.
When spoke to their hotline, a lady just said that their vehicles were under repair.
I asked them don't you have the courtesy to atleast inform your customer of the situation, and she was quite unconcerned. But said it might be delivered today!
Really disappointed won't be using this company again.

Complaint to management- destroyed birthday cake

Dear Management,
I am writing to formally raise a serious complaint regarding a recent birthday cake order placed from New Zealand and delivered to my sister in Sri Lanka. I am directing this email to management because this situation reflects a failure in planning, coordination, and accountability at a management level not the fault of individual delivery staff.
I have ordered from Lassana multiple times in the past and have always trusted your company for important occasions. That is why this experience has been extremely upsetting and disappointing.
The birthday cake was confirmed for delivery at 10:45 AM, yet it did not arrive until approximately 5:45 PM a delay of seven hours. By the time it arrived, the cake was completely melted, squashed, and destroyed. I have attached photos clearly showing its condition. It was not presentable, not fit for the occasion, and did not resemble the product advertised on your website.
To make matters worse, three separate orders from three different people were delivered to the same house that day. The other two arrived earlier and in good condition. Only my order was delayed for hours and arrived ruined. This clearly indicates poor delivery coordination and ineffective management of logistics. Sending multiple vehicles to the same address at different times, instead of organizing deliveries efficiently especially for perishable items is unacceptable.
When the delivery person arrived and my sister explained that the cake was destroyed and could not reasonably be accepted, she was told that she “has to take it” and that it was not their problem. My sister clearly expressed how hurt and disappointed she was and later sent a message explaining the situation. Her complaint was not properly checked, acknowledged, or handled with any empathy or responsibility.
Despite clear evidence that the product delivered was not what was paid for, no refund has been provided.
This was not just a cake it was a birthday gesture sent with care, trust, and emotional value from overseas. Instead, it caused embarrassment, sadness, and frustration. The lack of accountability and poor handling of this situation has seriously damaged my trust in your company.

I placed a Valentine’s Day order a week in advance through their website. However, I still haven’t received my order even today. They changed the riders and delivered it incorrectly, and they did not arrange or handle the order properly as expected. Even after we contacted them and tried to sort things out, we received absolutely no support from their side. The customer service was extremely disappointing. Delicious cake & beautiful decorations

We ordered cake, flowers & decorations for a birthday party at local hotel. These were all delivered on our behalf.
Everything was superb quality & the cake was delicious. It was so easy to deal with this professional business.
I also received a gift of cinnamon biscuits when I visited the following day.
It was a total pleasure to deal with this business

I paid but did not receive the product.

My wife ordered a cake. But you didn't deliver it. You didn't refund the money either. You big fraudsters, it's been almost two month now, you keep postponing it. If I get angry, I'll promote this on social media through Facebook and Instagram. I'll be looking into this for another five hours. If I don't get my money back, I'll take strict action. 🚫🚫🚫🚫❌❌❌❌. If you don't pay after receiving the product, they will cheat you out of your money.

I am extremely disappointed with your service, and this will be the last order I place with your company.

My order was not delivered to the home as requested. Instead, the delivery person contacted my parents and asked them to come to town to collect the order, which completely defeats the purpose of using a gift delivery service. The intention was to surprise them with a doorstep delivery, not to arrange a pickup.

If there were any additional delivery charges or logistical issues, your team should have clearly informed us at the time of order confirmation or included the transportation cost in the invoice. It is unacceptable for the delivery staff to ask the receiver for extra money or request pickup after the order has been placed.

If pickup was required, I could have ordered directly from a supermarket. This experience has been highly unprofessional, and the service provided was extremely poor.

I expect an explanation for this incident and urge your team to improve your service standards.

Extremely poor service and deceptive practices. Lassana.com accepted my payment on Nov 30th, only to cancel the order later and claim a refund would be issued in seven days. It has been over 20 days and I am still waiting for my refund. Do not trust this website with your credit card details. Total lack of accountability and professionalism.

Super super bad service

Super super bad service. I ordered a cake with a time given and the fellows don't even know to coordinate a clear time slot. They have zero control over operations and control or knowledge of anything happening in the delivery areas. Cannot track anything and their hotline is useless as it is. I would never recommend this to anyone else ever.

Very Disappointed of your service

I ordered a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates. The box of chocolates was not the one I ordered, and the chocolates that were delivered were very cheap. Miss Ayeshma coordinated me. She said that if there was any change in the order, she would inform me, but it did not happen. There is no coordination at all in your company. I am really disappointed with your service.

Zero Customer Care – Just Redirected Instead of Helped

Im really disappointed with the customer service I received through WhatsApp. I reached out hoping to customize a bouquet for a birthday delivery on the 25th and explained that I live abroad and cannot visit your showroom. Instead of assisting me directly or offering a contact from your team who could help, I was told to call the showroom myself, which defeats the purpose of having an online/WhatsApp support system.
As someone who is extremely busy with work, I expected at least a little effort from your team to help arrange the order or guide me to someone who can. This experience was frustrating and honestly, not what I expected from a well known brand like Lassana Flora.
I hope you can improve this service in the future so others don’t face the same inconvenience.

The worst experience I’ve ever had

The worst experience I’ve ever had. I ordered a cake, but due to an emergency, I needed to change the delivery location. I called all the way from Australia, spoke with the staff, and had the address updated. They confirmed it was changed. Still not convinced, I followed up with an email, and again they confirmed it was updated.
I selected the 6am–12pm delivery window because it was for my parents’ wedding anniversary lunch. By 2pm, nothing had arrived. When I called, they told me the cake was “with the driver” and on the way but to my shock, it was headed to the original address, not the updated one they had twice confirmed. My frustration hit the roof. How can a company operate with such irresponsibility, inefficiency, and complete disregard for customer service?
I am embarrassed to even call Lassana a Sri Lankan company. I usually order from Kapruka but decided to give Lassana Flora a chance and they failed miserably. The cake never arrived in time for the lunch party; it showed up after 4pm.

These companies depend on overseas customers. Living overseas, we rely on these e-commerce services to deliver what we pay for. This was not a cheap order over Rs. 7500 for just a cake. With such high margins, the least they could do is properly train their staff. I asked to speak to a manager none was available. In fact, I don’t even know if they have a proper office with trained staff. One call even ended with them hanging up on me because they couldn’t find a manager.
I made three international calls, each lasting over 25 minutes adding to my cost and frustration. If this company cannot run its operations properly, they should close their doors and allow someone else who can do the job right to take their place.
