I would give zero stars if I could.
The website featured a false Trustpilot rating of 5 stars. Since receiving these extremely low-quality clothes, I began searching and found three different sob stories regarding the company's origin and closure: a husband-wife team, a single mother, and sisters.
I am usually SO much smarter than this. Buyer beware. Not only is the material and sizing indescribably terrible, but they also falsely advertised the items... "embroidered" dresses that were pure polyester with barely there designs; "midi" dresses that were actually maxi in length. Horrible, horrible, horrible! Now I must inconvenience myself to send these awful items back and enlist my bank's help for a refund. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS BUSINESS.

I join other complainants who say they would choose no stars or negative stars if it were possible! I continue to send messages to the fake contact at the fake company. One thing I am adding here: my package of junk arrive from Vernon CA 90058 (5215 S Boyle Ave). No one else on this site has mentioned an address on the mailing bag. I wrote to the scammers that I would send the items back to Vernon CA, and repeated that I will expect 100% refund.

So far, the only offer to me has been the 10% refund and keep the worthless things. Others have mentioned being offered 30-50%, I believe.

Since the fraudulent adds appear on Facebook, I do suggest that you - or your friends or kids who use it - look for the ad on the platform and report it. If enough people do that, it may help.

Also, I continue to see ads (on Google, and, as I recall, on Facebook) for the other scam company Harper and Lane. Many of the same colorful dresses appear there! Maybe the same crooks run both.

If you know anyone else who has been scammed by this company please encourage them to take a minute to file a review on Trustpilot.

I'd give it less if I could. Quality of products were awful, fabrics not natural and flimsy. Totally misleading with a name that makes you think it's in NY and saying it's closing its doors. Honestly they should because it's such poor quality. Also doesn't have a clear return policy saying you have to send back to China at your own cost and also have to pay PER ITEM to restock $10. They haggled with me over multiple emails to refund first 10%, then 20%, then 30%, etc. and told me to keep them and take the partial refund. It was joke. Really awful experience and I recommend you steer clear of this scam. The website must have fake reviews since they quote this website with 4-5 star reviews and obviously it's not true if you come here. They also don't put their full return policy stating that you can return your order within 30 days of receipt for a full refund (without mentioning you have to pay the fees and return cost to China).

Update: After several failed attempts to get a full refund directly from the vendor (they kept offering me a partial refund instead - 10-30%), I contacted my bank and filed a dispute, and it was resolved. I explained that the items were not at all as they were described on the website. I took screenshots of the item descriptions and pages just in case. I hope this helps others!

One star because site won't allow me to give NONE! This site is absolute GARBAGE, it is a total scam. I was stupid and did not check reviews before ordering. But I did. Once my item arrived, I literally laughed out loud at how horrible it was. Here is the website description "These dramatic black wide-leg pants are elevated by intricate floral embroidery that sweeps down the leg like ivy in moonlight. They balance romantic charm with confident structure—made for the woman who embraces contrast." OMG!!!! They were these gross shiny polyester stretchy pants with silver printed design that was completely off center. Right away I knew I had been scammed. So, I reached out and emailed telling them how disappointed I was and they offered a 10% refund and I could "Keep the pants" OR if I wanted to PAY to ship them back to F'ing China at a cost that was almost as much as I paid for said dreadful pants, they would fully refund me. Anyway, after many, many emails telling them I was going to dispute the charges with my credit card company, they FINALLY agreed to refund my money. They sell this fake crap and hope people can't be bothered to complain or do anything about it. So note of advice and warning, DO NOT buy from this website. But if you do and you get garbage like I did. Be persistent and keep complaining until the agree to refund you. The kept countering their offer, started at 10% then 20% then 50%. I just kept saying no until I got a final full refund. Now, this was all this weekend and I've yet to SEE said refund so we shall see. I'll update in a few days.

BEWARE.....false advertisement, knock offs, poor quality!

I wrote a previous review agreeing with all the reasons noted in the negative reviews on this site. I haggled with the company which wanted to give me first a 10% refund, then 20% then 50%. I threatened and then opened a credit card dispute, let them know what i was doing, and at that point they offered a full refund. No shipping the awful dress back to China. Now awaiting the refund.

Return policy is insulting - 10% or send back to Asia at your own expense.

They sent me a dress that bears zero resemblance to the one in the photos online. Such a bummer. And now they’re offering me a 10% refund and telling me I can “keep the dress”. Which I can’t bear to even look at, it’s so ugly.

Definitely a scam - dress came & looks nothing like the website photos. The quality is absolutely horrible. They do not accept returns unless if you pay for shipping to China & a $10 admin fee.

Do not buy anything from this company! The dressed look nothing like their website and their customer service is horrible! They didn’t want to process my return and told me that they are in Asia when their website states that they are in Canada.

Do not buy anything! I fell for the scam, bought a few cute cotton-linens blend dresses for the summer thinking they be chic and breathable.
The package arrived and I opened up a package containing the cheapest printed polyester one could make. The dress has no real hem, just a surged edge. It total crap and not even worth $5

QUALITY IS TRASH. WORSE THAN CHEAP!! Ordered two of their dresses. I won't even walk around the house with them on. The fabric is paper-thin and does not match the description on their site.

First, the website says products ship in 1-3 (business) days, and arrive in 5-8. My order did not ship for over 5 business days and took 15 business days to arrive. I’d already opened a case on PayPal, and when I did, the seller sent an email pressuring me to close it and offering a 50% discount if I did (I still hadn’t received anything, so I declined the offer).

The box arrived (from China) the day before PayPal would’ve closed the case, and in it were two completely different items than what I’d ordered. The oversized “100% linen” shirt? Labeled cotton (not likely that, either), not oversized, nothing like photo. The dress, described as patchwork dress in a “cotton linen blend”? It was a terrible printed patchwork on fabric labeled “100% polyester” that felt more like paper.

The fine print in the website clarifies the “100% money back guarantee” that’s listed on each product page to say that return shipping (to China) is the buyers responsibility, plus a $10 restocking fee. I should’ve known better, but I was on bereavement leave and missed these red flags.

I reopened the case with PayPal, which is how I learned that “LauraNewYork” is a country out of The Netherlands, which dropships terrible knockoffs from China. Still haven’t gotten my money back.

SCAM ALERT!!! This place is a nightmare. Do not buy a thing! What crap these clothes are looks nothing like the photos and took forever to receive and now I want to return it they won’t give you a refund!! Oh 10% back then they offer 29% 30% and then 50% I guarantee this is a sweatshop of 8 and 10 year olds making these clothes!

Man oh man, I am so sorry i didn't think to check reviews before my purchase. These garments are total junk! Garbage fabric as light as a scarf! Horrible. Arms so small I can barely get my skinny arms in them! Total wste of money.

This company like many in China uses illegal practices and product descriptions to sell then to close; taking your money and then rebrand into a new name to then scam buyers on Instagram platforms. Cheap quality (say linen but send cheap polyester) and bait and switch. It is not worth tbuying junk sold under the name made in USA.

This business is a scam. I ordered 2 of what was listed as a cotton blend dress and the most disgusting plastic printed garment arrived. I asked for a refund and told them this was false advertising and they said they will let me keep it and only refund 10%, then up to 50%. They are charging a premium and pretending to be a small NYC business. THEY ARE DISHONEST, DO NOT BUY

This company is using fake Trust Pilot Reviews to scam people into buying. The products are listed as cotton/linen blends but are 100% polyester. It's not a NY Store that's closing. The items drop ship from China. If you try to return- they make it more expensive than simply taking their 30% refund. SCAM! Do not purchase from here.
