Nicely crafted handbag, especially for the price point. International tracking was wonderful until the bag made landfall in the US, then it stopped once the package was handed off to USPS. The box was a little damaged yet the bag was unscathed. While it would be terrific for the handbag to be packaged in another box prior to being placed in the shipping box, I do understand this may create a customs issue and drive up costs. Once I start using this handbag (I anticipate I will love it), I will likely order other styles. It truly is a beautiful bag and appears to be much more expensive than the actual cost. Although I am not a designer bag connoisseur, I own both Max Mara and Burberry bags and this sits right up there with the look of luxury - classic, understated, and timeless.

Overall, I’m disappointed with my purchase and my experience, and I would recommend not purchasing from this company if you are in the United States. My order took several weeks to arrive. I ordered two items and neither matched the color in the images on the website. “Cream” is actually more of a baby pink than a beige, and “cognac” is much darker in person. One of my items has a small defect in the leather and loose strings. I contacted the company right away with photos. They claimed that this is normal for their products and were unconcerned. When I inquired about returning my order, I was advised that I would be responsible for return shipping. When I placed the order, I assumed that if I needed to return anything, I would have to pay for the return label as with many other companies. However, I was not offered any label. I was only provided an address and told to find my own shipping service. USPS is the cheapest service that I can find, and they charge $85 to ship to Italy. I just learned the same items that I purchased are available through Amazon with free returns. Now I’m stuck with two bags I don’t like, one of which is defective.

I really love the bag. It’s beautiful and it’s chic. I only wish that the strap was a bit longer so I can wear it as a Crossbody.

What a beautiful bag I just purchased! It looks exactly like it appeared online. The workmanship is just amazing. I am extremely pleased with my purchase of the Jackie bag and highly recommend it. The customer service is outstanding and I am looking forward to purchasing another bag.

Jan 24. My journey continues. I provided my order number to LePermentier per their request to assist.. I have not heard back from their customer care group with any updates. I filed a claim/inquiry with USPS on Jan 20 per Le Parmentier’s recommendation. .The United States Postal Service responded today, Jan 24th, saying- that it takes 12 weeks for Italy to enter a package into their system coming from the United States Post Office because Italy prioritizes packages from the EU and other countries over US packages AND USPS cannot help until it is in Italy’s system. Unbelievable! If the package is not in Italy’s system by April 20 I can file a claim. This was an expensive lesson for a handbag that was a disappointment at best.
The return process started when I went to a US Post Office (upstate NY) on Dec 5, 2025 to send the item back to Italy at a cost of $75. it arrived in Milan, Italy on Dec 11th. The returned item as of today (Jan 20) still does not show in Italy’s Mail System…no tracking updates, no refund. My returned bag appears to have gone into a black hole. I have nothing!!! Still waiting! USPS investigation for an insurance claim takes 32 business days to hear back. So many regrets.

I absolutely love Le Parmentier Paris. The bags are made of genuine high quality leather, and the styles are so unique. I wear my Atlanta bag out 2-3 times a week, and it still looks brand new. The bag has held up beautifully, and I can’t wait to purchase another one soon. Shipping to the states was fast & packaging was eco-conscious and secure. Will definitely be ordering from them again.

First, I absolutely love this handbag and want another Le Parmentier soon!! Great style, great quality. But this review is about the service I received. It started when I sent a question to the general "contact us" link on the website. Within hours (as soon as the day started in his time zone), I received a response from Alex Forzieri offering whatever support I might need. Then, when it looked like my package might not arrive in time for an important event, I wrote in hopes of help -- even though I know companies have little control over couriers. But Alex checked on its journey, and kept me updated. Finally, he wrote when he knew my bag had arrived to make sure of my satisfaction. What is more, much of our communication took place on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. So few companies offer such personal attentive service that it was easy to write this review.

While the bag itself was beautiful and quality great, I did not care for the color. In our attempt to return it we were told that we have to pay for the of the bag to Italy. No information about returns was even noted while purchasing. They even have a ticker scrolling across their site that says free shipping 90 days return. I will not be making any further purchases from this company.
