I would 100% recommend this dive school. My 13 year old son started diving with them in December, so it's been about 7 months now. He has dyspraxia so can find practical things quite difficult. Louise picked up on this on his try dive, and instead of seeing it as a negative, she doubled down and made sure he had the support he needed to fulfil his passion for diving. His instructor Brad is friendly, approachable, explained everything very clearly, and was incredibly patient, and now Roman can put all his kit together, dive with confidence, and he's now achieved his Scuba Diver qualification. Next weekend he'll be a fully qualified Open Water diver and he couldn't be happier!
Safety always comes first with this school, and they make sure they let you take things at your own pace, so if you need extra time and help, that's accommodated. There's absolutely no pressure to rush things, they want to make sure you have the best experience for your level.
I even had a snorkelling session with my son's instructor, and feel much more confident in the water now. Louise and Steve are brilliant and never miss a trick. All the gear is great quality, and very well looked after.
Would absolutely recommend this dive school for anyone who wants to dive, snorkel, or just try it out for fun.

I’ve just completed my PADI Divemaster training with Diveworld and I’m absolutely buzzing about the whole experience. From day one, Steve and Louise created an environment that’s welcoming, motivating and genuinely exciting to be part of. Their passion for diving is infectious, and their commitment to developing safe, skilled and confident divers is on another level.

Every session felt like a step forward — challenging in all the right ways, packed with learning, and always supported by clear guidance and encouragement. You’re never just “ticking boxes” with Diveworld; you’re becoming a better diver every time you get in the water.

Well what can I say, but massive thank you to Diveworld and there wonderful team for all there support, expertise and training over the last few months to me to becoming an Advance Open Water Diver Scuba Diver.

I honestly can’t praise nor thank the team Ellie(My fav 😆), Steve (2nd fav😆) and of course Brad who is (3rd Fav), but we won’t tell him that lol. But I also can’t leave out Louise, as chatting to her, doing my OpenWater is where it all started, so she really is Queen Fav 😆

But seriously. They are all brilliant, every one of them. They have all taken me under their wings, guided, supported, offered great advice and trained me to where I am today.

The one thing you will take away is that nothing is too of a problem for them.
In doing the Dives and Courses, I had to make a few changes over the months due to Ear Infections then holidays and so on, but everything was rescheduled and sorted out with ease. No pressure, no stress, no worry.
They always go out of their way to try and find a solution to make it happen.

I’ve also recently purchased my new XDeep wing from Diveworld, but what helped me, I was able to try other Wings, BCD’s while diving with them to find the best one for me. Again nothing is too much of a problem and both Steve and Louise or the team offer advise and support, not to just sell you something, but to get the best in what is right for you because they know you.

The one thing I and everyone else always takes away from diving with them and is that your part of the Diveworld Family

The past few days were exhausting and demanding, yet they offered an excellent opportunity for growth and learning. Steve, with the support of Ellie and Chris, maintained his usual high standards while making the training engaging and enjoyable.

I needed to arrange a confined-water 'reactivate' session and a separate Discover Scuba Diving for my two teenagers. The team was incredibly accommodating, fitting us into our hectic schedule and ensuring the location was perfect for the activities. The real delight came when we arrived at the pool; we were warmly welcomed with a mix of friendliness and assured professionalism. It was all highly impressive! The highlight, though, was hearing from my kids afterward—one experiencing scuba for the very first time. They were absolutely thrilled and eager to dive again, rating their adventure and instructors a 12 out of 10!

I had a lovely experience doing my course with Diveworld. My friend Lisa and I wanted to do our Advanced Open Water course together which involved a lot of negotiation between Louise and me via emails, phone calls, and in person visits to the shop. Every time I spoke to Steve and Louise, I was met with understanding and a supportive attitude. We ended up doing a bespoke course mid-week, which was a fantastic opportunity to gain confidence in dry suit diving, due to Capernwray being quieter and having the full attention of Steve and Kris, who assisted with the dive. When problems occurred, such as my mask leaking, Steve helped me understand how to fix it myself and how to prevent it in the future. I felt the level of support both Kris and Steve provided was brilliant, as it helped us learn to be more self-sufficient divers, but that we could ask for help when we needed it. I’m so grateful for the experience, and hope to do more diving with them in the future! Thank you to everyone involved :)

Steve, Louise and their team are amazing. Nothing is ever a problem. They have such a can do attitude. This combined with their expertise and safety first service makes for a superb experience for new and experienced divers alike.
They are absolute superstars with my grandson and have instilled a sense of worth and achievement in his life. We can't wait for more wonderful diving experiences and tuition with them and their fab team!

We completed our PADI open water qualification with DiveWorld ready for our trip to Hawaii. The training was outstanding and has set us up perfectly for our vacation. We have just completed our first ever dive in the ocean and our guide commented on our competence and how good we were for being so inexperienced. This is down to the exceptional tutoring from Steve during our training in the pool, teaching room and at Capernwray and guidance from the instructors during the Club Dive Nights. We are very grateful for the mentoring and look forward to continuing to be part of the DiveWorld community when we are home. If you are considering getting in to diving, we couldn’t recommend DiveWorld more!!!

(Steve was also excellent in managing my anxieties when I became overwhelmed at one point during the training dives so if you are nervous, know you are in safe hands!!)

Both the Directors, Steve and Louise, are absolutely brilliant. Diveworld is a tightly run ship!

A few months ago I went into the shop a complete novice, and now I'm a certified Advanced Open Water Diver with several specialties under my belt.

All the instructors, trainee instructors, and divemasters at Diveworld are switched on, friendly and very well-trained. There is so much knowledge to sponge from.

I'll 100% be doing my Divemaster with those guys and cannot wait for the Egypt trip in June 2026!

The Directors, Steve and Louise, and all their Instructors love diving and all really care about giving their clients a full and detailed training to ensure their safety and their enjoyment of diving can be exciting and long term. It is very professional and a very well run Dive school with an experienced and very friendly team who help you enjoy this new experience. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

I recently completed my PPB & Navigation speciality’s with Andy, Richard, Steve & Brad. All were extremely patient and calm! Would definitely recommend to anyone considering scuba!

Done a few courses with Dive World now and honestly can’t recommend them enough. The team are brilliant – really supportive and make the whole experience fun while still pushing you to improve. Always feel safe, welcome, and part of the group. Excited to keep learning and seeing where diving takes me with these guys!

I’ve done several courses now with Dive World and every time has been such a great experience. The team are professional, supportive, and make learning really enjoyable. Have had a great experience with Diveworld so far, from discussing my initial interest in scuba diving, to Discover Scuba, through to open water certification and drysuit specialty.

Very much excited to continue my diving journey through Diveworld. The level of service and knowledge is exceptional from both Louise and Steve, as well as the various Divemasters and Instructors.

Club nights and Ponds Forge are great for practicing skills, and the open water trips to Capernwray are lots of fun. You can pop into the shop whenever to ask questions about equipment, sessions or for a chat.

Definitely recommend!

What can I say about my experience of this scuba diving holiday? It took me a long time to get there, 5 years to be specific! During this 5 years everyone was telling me how good it was. So my expectations were very high, to say the least. So how close to my expectations was the holiday?

It was nowhere near! It exceeded my expectations by a long, long, way! The diving was out of this world! The best I've ever had, and Steve and Louise made it so much better with the organisation and customer service that Diveworld excel at.

The house reef is split into two distinct areas. The North reef, and the South reef. Both have beautiful corals and an abundance of marine life, from the tiniest of fish to huge Morry eels, turtles, and rays, etc. There is always something new to discover on these extensive reefs, so you never get bored of diving on them, in fact, each dive whets your appetite for the next one. The resort itself is staffed by the most friendly and helpful people you could wish to meet. The food is very good, with plenty of choice for every meal. The accommodation (I stayed in a hut) is clean, comfortable and catered for all my needs.

All in all a fantastic experience that I've booked to do again next year! Keep up the excellent work Louise and Steve.

I needed to book a confined-water 'reactivate' and separate DSD for my two teenage kids and I received fantastic support to make the bookings around our busy schedule and in the appropriate location for the activities. Then the real magic happened when we arrived at the pool session and we were greeted with warmth and friendliness, with an underlying confidence, professionalism and efficiency. All *very* impressive! However the cherry on the icing was the feedback from my kinds (one of which had his first ever experience of scuba). They were buzzing with excitement and couldn't wait to dive again. They gave their experience and instructors "12 out of 10"!

Recently achieved my peak performance buoyancy course which was all organised with Diveworld. My instructor Lee was very informative and supportive throughout the dives.

Over the course of the last five months, with Diveworld's guidance I've progressed from a certified Open Water Diver, through six diving specialties, two non-diving specialties, an Emergency First Response qualification, Advanced Open Water certification, and most recently the PADI Rescue Diver certification.

Diveworld's progressive approach to training has allowed me to move from being fully task-loaded by simply being under water, to thinking about the safety of other divers, identifying potential problems and avoiding them, and to be equipped both physically and mentally to assist divers in emergency situations.

I've heard many divers say that the Rescue Diver course was their favourite certification; I can understand why. Success requires the consolidation of all of the lessons learned to date, so it's a challenge, but also rewarding to look back and see the bigger picture and why the skills learned were important.

I'm immensely grateful to the Diveworld team for their proactive training, their deep knowledge and the fun atmosphere that's brought to each session, despite the serious nature of the training that we're undertaking.

If you're considering moving forward with your diving, I would wholeheartedly recommend that you talk to Diveworld!

Just spent a weekend at Capernwray with Diveworld taking the Padi Rescue Diver course and what a brilliant weekend we all had.

Receiving the training manual I had to take a deep breath as there was so much to learn from techniques to diver psychology, had I bitten off more than I could chew?

The answer is a straight no, why? Because Diveworld are with you every step of the way, wanting you to succeed on your scuba journey.

Steve and Lou always have time for you and nothing is rushed, everything is explained clearly helping you understand the material in turn building confidence in your own abilities which also makes you want to be part of the team.

At Capernwray Steve took the course but was assisted with Bradley as the Assistant Instructor along with the Dive Master Trainees Jack, Ellie and Brad. who looked after us 4 students from start to finish. Id like to say a big thank you to all of them too.

Everyone knows I cannot praise Diveworld enough to the point I may end up with a gagging order just to shut me up.

If you have ever thought about trying scuba diving but are a little nervous then this is the Dive centre you want to use. You will not regret it.
