Non-existent customer service

I will give two stars rather than one because the two leather handbags that my mother received were of high quality and very good value. However, as others have stated, I would give zero stars for customer service and I will never buy from them again. I ordered the first handbag on Sunday evening and then discovered that my mum preferred a bigger handbag. I immediately requested that the order was cancelled and received confirmation of my "withdrawal request". I assumed this would be fine as it was half an hour after I had placed the order on a Sunday evening. Plenty of time for them to respond. I then placed a new order for a different handbag having confirmed with my mum that it was definitely the one she wanted. On Monday morning, I rang them and left a message with the details of my order and my cancellation request and asked them to call me back. I also sent an email to their "24 hour" response address to back up the phone call. I never received a return phone call and they never responded to my email. Consequently, I received both handbags when I only wanted one. Leather Company policy is that customers must pay for returns. As the smaller handbag was only £31.50 it was not worth sending it back and my mum received two handbags for her birthday rather than one. Good for her but an extra expense for me! As previously stated, I will never buy from Leather Company again and I advise everyone else to avoid them. Their customer service is non-existent and they do not deserve to prosper. There are plenty of other companies that are much, much better. I just wish I had checked them out on Trustpilot first because had I done so, I would never have bought anything from them.

No after-sales service

Buyer beware! The after sales service from this company is appalling. Within months of buying a leather backpack for £709, the primary buckle broke rendering the bag useless. The so-called customer service people at Leather Company did nothing. They were dumbfounded by the fact that I even contacted them about the issue. I discovered later when I contacted the manufacturer of the bag -- The Bridge Firenze -- that Leather Company is not an authorized dealer for their brand so they also turned a blind eye to the issue. Be careful when buying from Leather Company. You may get a discount compared to other shops but if something goes wrong you're on your own.

Item not received, poor customer service

Ordered leather bomber jacket on 30.03.26, received tracking saying Royal Mail expecting the item. Royal Mail never received it and tracking has sat the same since 30.03.26. Contacted Leather Company on 3 occasions to request assistance. Only one email back just giving me the same tracking number and no answers to the other follow ups. Such a shame as this was a gift. Would not order from here again as Customer Service is poor. Refund requested from bank for unfulfilled order.

Easy exchange for item incorrectly ordered.

I made a purchase online without seeing the item in person. When it arrived it was not as I thought from the onscreen image. I contacted The Leather Company who agreed to an exchange. When the new item arrived it was exactly what I wanted. No fuss, no hassle.

leather gilet

I am really pleased with my leather gilet. The colour is a proper "burgundy" rather than "wine". The style, fit and quality are excellent. It was sent to me very quickly too and I have bought from Leather Company before, all equally successfully.

Superb service

I ordered a leather sheepskin duffle, and was given a great deal of assistance by Dawood Hame. He sorted the product for me and sent numerous picture emails of the product to my satisfaction. I bought the coat on 14 January 2026, and it was delivered the next day at10.00am. Brilliant service. Thank you

I ordered a very expense jacket for my partner for christmas on the 28th of november its now the 13rd and they still havent given my order to royal mail yet ive tried to email them several times and have receved no response i have even messeged them on facebook and nothing honestly feel like ive been scammed at this point

Please don't order from this company. I ordered a leather backpack which has never been delivered. The company has not responded to my many emails. I am now out of pocket with nowhere to turn. Very, very poor customer service. If I had been able to give a minus star I would have

Customer service almost non-existent.

Ordered a purse online. Order confirmed. When I checked my Mastercard statement I found I'd been charged twice for the purse so asked for a refund. After trying for 4 or 5 days I finally got to speak to someone about the problem.
I explained that my Tesco Mastercard had been charged twice and was asked "Are you trying to contact Tesco?" 5 days of frustration boiled over so I explained the problem again but in a very stern, unfriendly tone. (I didn't swear!) I was then asked "What's with the attitude mate?" I asked if that's how all customers are spoken to and the response was basically - "if you don't want to be spoken to like that then don't speak to me like that."
I ran a sales and customer service department for over 35 years and would never have dreamt of this sort of response to a customer with a problem however aggressive they were.
Anyway - the overcharge has been refunded but only after a suggestion that it was my fault for having 2 browsers open at the same time?! It seems I put the item in the online basket but left the page to look at something else so they charged me when I left the page and again when I completed then transaction.
The only saving grace is that the purse is perfect....

To clarify: the duplicate charge was identified and fully refunded. Our review confirms that the duplicate authorisation occurred as a result of multiple checkout interactions, which can happen if a customer navigates away from the payment page and later completes a second transaction. This is a recognised behaviour with online card processing systems, including those operated by Mastercard and card issuers such as Tesco Bank. Regardless, the matter was resolved promptly once direct contact was made.

However, we must address your comments regarding the conduct of our staff.
We do not accept hostility or confrontational behaviour towards our employees under any circumstances. We understand that payment issues can be frustrating, frustration does not justify speaking to staff in an aggressive manner. Our team members are entitled to be treated with basic courtesy and respect.

When a customer adopts an inappropriate tone, our staff are permitted to set boundaries and, where necessary, disengage from the interaction.

Rubbish Customer Service!

I have been trying since 1st December to order a bag. After being informed that my order was accepted I then received notification that my refund was being processed. I emailed to enquire why? In view of the fact that I had not received my order and so most certainly had not requested a refund. I have since re-ordered but despite phone calls (which have not been answered) and several emails I am no wiser as to whether they have stock to fulfil my order. This has been ongoing all week.

Non existent customer service

I purchased a leather weekend holdall and was genuinely happy with it when I opened the box, it was just what I had been looking for.
When I used it for the first time a rivet on the handle popped off into the night leaving the strap hanging. I was a bit disappointed but these things happen. I thought I'd contact them and ask for a returns label and a replacement bag once they had received the faulty one back.
I have made phone calls and sent emails with pictures all to no avail. When you ring they tell you to email and that they'll reply within 48 hours, except that they don't. They just ignore you. I will have to resort to the small claims court to resolve this it seems.
Very disappointing and frustrating although having checked on who owns the company not entirely surprising.

Good sturdy bag at a good price

I bought a burgundy wine handbag backpack from Ashwood Leather Outlet which seems to be part of the same company. Importantly, the bag has the zip at the back, and not just the front one, essential for quick access to travel card whilst keeping it safe. Loved the colour, it's well made with sturdy zips. Straightforward to order online, and at a good price. The bag arrived within 48 hours too. Very pleased with the purchase.
Will definitely use them again when I need to replace my leather jackets, though I might try to get their physical shop for sizing.
Have no hesitation in recommending them.

Appalling customer service

The first sheepskin rug that I bought from this company was of excellent quality which encouraged me to buy another one. This was a huge mistake as I soon had to find out after receiving a filthy rug of something losing its hair. When I called the company to report this mishap their attitude was aggressive and rude. They asked me to return the faulty item on my expense and when I stated that it would be their responsibility to cover for the cost of return they only provided a label to print out and after I stated that I need a QR code since I do not own a printer they never came back to me.
