I honestly don’t have the words to fully express how much Natalie Fernando at LighterLife has changed my life. Her mentorship has been beyond impeccable, it has been life-altering. She has supported me in ways I never thought possible and has helped me reach places I never even dared to dream of.

Without Natalie, I truly wouldn’t have been able to do this. Her guidance, belief in me, and constant encouragement gave me the strength to keep going when I doubted myself. Because of her, I am not the same person I was when I started, I am stronger, more confident, and so much more hopeful.

I’m really disappointed with my recent order from LighterLife. The products I received arrived with a very short remaining shelf life and at no point during checkout was this made clear. For items that are close to expiring, I would expect a clear warning before purchase.

When I raised my concerns with customer services, the response was dismissive and didn’t offer any helpful resolution. It’s not acceptable to send customers products that are about to expire and then hide behind policy wording.

This experience has put me off ordering again, and I hope LighterLife reviews how they communicate product shelf life and how they handle customer concerns.

The LighterLife Total programme is well planned and they have excellent support materials. It can be tough but the weight loss is good and the strict boundaries make things clear. Some say that it is expensive. Compared to the ‘jabs’ and takeaways it is very good value as it does include all your food and nutrition. Best of all is the support of your mentor and the WhatsApp’s groups. My mentor Neil Spencer is outstanding and is always there when needed as well as leading our groups. For the first time I believe I will get to my ideal weight and most importantly stay there!

I have recently finished a LighterLife closed group, and I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my health and personal wellbeing. I didn’t just lose weight — I gained a whole new perspective on myself and my habits.

From day one, our mentor Neil Spencer-Mothersole made the sessions feel safe, supportive, and motivating, creating an environment for everyone to share openly. The group was facilitated with warmth, clarity, and professionalism, striking the perfect balance between encouragement and challenge, helping us push past excuses while feeling supported every step of the way.

Instead of just telling us what to eat, he challenged us to think about the reasons around our eating – why, when, how and for whom - guiding us to really look at our reasons and motivations for overeating. Facing those reasons wasn’t always easy, but he also helped us to explore strategies to deal with ‘life situations’ which are always going to arise. The process was exactly what I needed, helping me to realise ‘it’s always our choice’ which has helped me stay committed.

The group atmosphere was positive, Neil used breathing exercises to settle us, getting us to the same place, so we could get the best out of the sessions. We respectfully listened to, and learnt from, each other’s experiences, quietly cheering each other on through struggles, and celebrating every win, big and small. That sense of accountability kept me going especially on tough days.

By the end of the programme, I have not only lost pounds, but I have also built confidence and healthier routines that I know I can stick with long-term. It wasn’t just about losing weight - it has been about me reshaping my relationship with food. I now have the tools to recognise emotional triggers, replace unhealthy patterns, and build sustainable habits.

I can confidently say that being part of the LighterLife closed group was for me a great success. It left me not only lighter on the scale but stronger in mindset, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking lasting change in their weight loss.

I’m so grateful to my friend who referred me, to my LighterLife group, and to Neil, our mentor, for his guidance and ongoing support – even now that the closed sessions have ended. LighterLife is a programme that delivers on its promise. If you follow the programme, you will lose weight but most importantly, it examines the reasons behind weight gain. Treating excess weight as a symptom of something deeper, members examine their long-held responses around food in a weekly closed group session led by a LighterLife mentor. Members are encouraged to understand the ‘why’ behind the reasons they misuse food and think about alternative ways of dealing with their thoughts to help break negative patterns. Neil Spencer-Mothersole was the mentor for the closed group I attended and his help was invaluable in informing my own understanding of ‘why’ I had used food as I had. The support and insight from other group members, and the knowledge that Neil was available at any time to help with any problems, meant that I felt totally supported in this journey and that it was not something I was going through on my own. After total fast comes management, and I am looking forward to building on the learning I have gained so far, again supported by Neil, so that I can ensure that the weight I have lost stays lost, and that the only reason I eat is when I’m hungry.

The basis of the closed group is a very good one - a distinct goal and a building of relationships which make us feel we are all in this together. The team element, being part of a group, is a very effective means of keeping us answerable not only to ourselves but to others: very much felt we didn’t want to let anyone down. That said, if we had struggles, then there was always a sympathetic ear. But every good team needs a leader: and Neil Spencer was a leader supreme!!! Kept us together, was patient and open to all our thoughts and problems, delivered the programme materials and topics in a clear and informed manner, was so positive about what we could all achieve and was kind enough to check on us all during the week or when anyone was experiencing difficulties. 100 percent from me!!!

I have just completed my second closed group and been on Total fast food packs for 33 weeks I have lost 98lb and am now due to start Management. I was reluctant to join a closed group at first but with the guidance and support of my mentor Neil Spencer, I learnt how important the group work is, it helped me understand and recognise how I use food in an unhealthy way. I couldn't have made this journey without Neil, he has been very supportive, either by text, phone or email and with the group sessions and food packs it means I am ready for the next step on my journey.

I’ve just finished a closed group programme with LighterLife and mentor Neil and it’s been such a positive and life-changing journey. I’ve lost over 40lb so far, and while I still have a bit more to go, I’m now moving into the open groups for maintenance and feeling really motivated.

The mentor sessions with Neil go far beyond weight loss — they’ve helped me understand myself, my habits, and my mindset in a completely new way. Having time away from regular food gave me space to reflect - and it wasn’t difficult at all. The food packs are tasty, and I quickly found a rhythm that worked for me.

What’s made the biggest difference is the clear structure and accountability — no guessing, just a straightforward plan that really works. I’m now looking forward to reaching a weight I haven’t been in over 20 years, and feeling better than ever.

I must admit I was a little nervous to start but so very pleased I did as its the best thing I've done.

Lighterlifecappraoch to improving our mental health and overall wellbeing is what differentiates this with other weight loss programmes. They offer weekly, closed support group online meetings where we can openly talk about what's going well, as well as our challenges. Its supportive and confidential. Neil as our facilitator counsellor showed no judgement and allowed us to discuss and explore our issues openly, so we learned lots about ourselves and why we eat....mostly to do with what's in our heads! He also offered support on an individual level according to what we need. Only downside is advertising losing a stone a month. Whilst some may, im guessing many others don't, so perhaps setting people up to feel or think they are failing.I lost two stones over the twelve weeks. Neil was good to point out regularly, we all lose weight at different rates, and sometimes we won't lose any weight but it will even itself out later down the line. On a personal basis, I think having the 1-1 support from Neil and group councelling support is the way to successful weight loss.

Lighter life works, some will power is required at first but its easy to manage and is definitely worth the price. I did it years ago with great results and recently due to health issues which caused weight gain plus menopause related weight gain.

Terrible experience with this company!! They charge £7.99 for delivery, their product prices are extortionate, I received my delivery only to find my items have expiry dates of the same month and the following month, I contacted customer service they didn't want to know, no apology, no refund, no replacement, absolute joke!!! I'll never order again

Having struggled for some time to lose the weight I’d gradually put on over time as I got older, I found this programme to be an amazingly effective way not only to drop the kilos but also to keep them off. I joined the 3-month Total Programme, which provided daily meal packs along with extras to help manage hunger pangs. What made the biggest difference, though, were the weekly meetings with a trained mentor, where we explored the reasons behind overeating.
Neil, who led our group, was not only extremely knowledgeable but also wise, kind and supportive. His encouragement didn’t stop when the initial course ended—he continued to check in with me, and I now attend the weekly free meetings to stay on track and maintain my progress.
I can’t recommend this method of weight control highly enough, and I only wish I had discovered it sooner!

Having lost weight with LL many years ago, I signed up to the 12-week Total Fast Plan in June. What impressed me were the changes LL have now introduced. You now use a website to manage your account, pick your food packs and bars, (your choices can be changed every two weeks) and they are delivered super-fast. You can join a weekly zoom call with a mentor, either on an “open group” or a “closed group” basis for more dedicated support. I chose the closed group and the support I’ve received from Neil Spencer Mothersole has been outstanding. Through his guidance and use of techniques/tools (CBT), this has helped me manage those challenging situations, particularly managing my food choices in stressful situations. I now feel I have the confidence to manage my way through Total Fast, into Management and for life!

Having just completed 2 closed groups back to back I've reached my goal&lost just over 4stones. Neil is an excellent counsellor, considerate, kind&informative. He structures each group meeting succinctly, allowing each person air time, and offers excellent support, guidance&encouragement. I done the VLCD mode, and with careful planning managed it through various social events&holidays. The CBT information & support is invaluable. The complete deal, has changed my life&I've got my best I can side of me back. I'm looking forward to commencing the Management module next week.. Again facilitated by Neil. He really wishes everyone to succeed and that comes through in each meeting. I completely recommend him & LL, and with full commitment it really works as a very thorough holistic approach to change, weight loss, Health&Happiness within each person who commits to it.
