Poor Poor Customer Service cannot action a basic request
Been with this bank over 10 years but they cannot seem to be able to the simple task of adding a trading as name to my business account. This has been going on for over two months now speaking to people in my branch and via the online business number, of which I can only assume is based overseas and yet they still cannot do it. I've reached the point now where i'm opening an account with a different bank and will transfer all my business over within the next couple of months and close this account. Reduculous situation. Poor Poor customer service.

I had a very frustrating experience…
I had a very frustrating experience with Lloyds Business Banking telephone customer service.
I spoke to three advisers. The first two appeared to be based overseas — one sounded African and the other Indian — and I found their accents extremely difficult to understand. I repeatedly struggled to follow what they were saying, which made dealing with an already complicated banking issue much more stressful.
There was also extremely loud and strange background noise on the calls. Whenever the advisers stopped speaking, I could hear a constant noise that sounded almost like water running in the background. This happened during all three calls and made the call quality even worse.
The third and final adviser I spoke to was British. I could understand her clearly and the difference in communication was immediately noticeable. I was finally able to have a conversation where I could properly understand what was being explained to me.
My issue isn't where somebody comes from. Lloyds is providing a telephone banking service, so customers need to be able to clearly understand the person dealing with their account. If a customer says they are struggling to understand an adviser's accent, there should be an easy way to be transferred to somebody they can understand.
The overall telephone experience needs significant improvement, particularly the call quality, background noise and clarity of communication.
