I arranged transportation through LoadMaster Group Inc. for a 2013 Doosan P185 air compressor purchased at auction in Lebanon, Ohio, for delivery to Dickinson, North Dakota. Unfortunately, what should have been a straightforward shipment became an extremely stressful experience due to missed commitments, poor coordination, and uncertainty regarding carrier assignments and payment.

My experience with LoadMaster Group Inc.:

I booked transportation for $2,166 and paid the required 20% deposit of $433.20. From the beginning, there were communication problems, including difficulties receiving the agreement and requested information by email and text. I had to make repeated calls to get the paperwork completed.

On October 16, I explicitly notified LoadMaster in writing that my compressor MUST be loaded and removed from the auction facility no later than 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on October 20. I also provided the auction company's written notice explaining the consequences of missing that deadline.

I was repeatedly assured that pickup would occur as required.

On October 20, I was told a driver was approximately 2–3 hours away. Later that afternoon, I learned that LoadMaster was still searching for a driver. The explanation eventually provided was that the original carrier had suffered a mechanical breakdown.

The situation became especially concerning because the auction company was leaving the property, the gates would remain unlocked, and my equipment would no longer be secured.

Despite numerous emails and telephone calls, LoadMaster was unable to provide a confirmed replacement carrier until October 21. The auction representative graciously extended the pickup opportunity until approximately 2:00 p.m., but even then, there were communication difficulties getting the driver to the correct location and locating the equipment.

I spent considerable time personally coordinating with the auction company, providing multiple contact numbers, forwarding documentation, and helping facilitate a pickup that I had contracted LoadMaster to arrange.

Another concern involved carrier payment. After transportation was finally arranged, the driver expressed uncertainty about receiving compensation. The broker's payment instructions also required clarification. I ultimately paid the driver directly through Venmo because I wanted to ensure she received the money she earned.

To LoadMaster's credit, Kay continued responding to my emails, acknowledged the missed deadline and escalated my concerns to management. However, the overall brokerage experience was frustrating, stressful, and fell well short of my expectations.

Mike coordinating everything perfectly and Alex Hariton was a true professional transport driver. Will use this company for a 3rd time if the occassion arises.

This company charged me a really high rate to deliver a vehicle because i needed it picked up a specific day. They would not share the drivers Info or a pickup time. When they did the driver stopped answering the phone and just ignored us. They only care about money, adding extra fees and don’t seem concerned with you or your vehicle.

Laodmaster came through again for me. I have tried for 10 weeks to get a gradall excavator delivered cross country. 6 drivers agreed to do it and then backed out. Loadmaster contacted me and said they could get it done. They did just that. Excavator arrived today. Start here and save yourself the runaround.

Load Master is a terrible company. I explicitly told them i needed my car picked up between may 25th and may 31st as i was moving and had a flight on june 1st out of the state so it absolutely needed to be picked up before that. They said they would have it picked before then. I told them It was imperative to have it picked up before then because my lease was up and i had to move out june 1st, meaning if it wasnt picked up before then id have no way to facilitate a pick up or have anywhere to store it because i wouldnt be in the state. Well on may 31st at 2 pm they told me they couldnt find anyone to pick up my vehicle even though they had an entire week and absolutely assured me every day i had checked in they would have it picked up within the agreed timeframe. They didn’t. Then at 730 pm that same day they told me they had found a driver but i had to pay an extra $131 dollars more than originally quoted and they wouldnt be able to pick it up until 9 am on june 1st. Well my flight was at 10 am june 1st. THEN they tried to charge me an extra 150 because i had some items in the car. They tried saying they increased the price because i didnt tell them about the items, but on the info sheet i told them id have 100-150 lbs of items in the car. I told them im not paying that and they need to figure something out because they missed the original agreed upon window, and they increased the price of the original quote. I ended up having to pay the driver $1200 instead of the agreed upon $1069 a day later than agreed upon timeframe. Luckily i have good friends who were able to help me out with parking and pick up. I got my car a day later but if i didn’t have good friends i would have been absolutely screwed. Long story short load master is a dog shit company. Never go through them. They don’t keep their timeframe agreements and try to steal extra money from you

They are incredibly irresponsible. We had already had an issue with them once before, when they delivered a car three days after the scheduled date and the driver never answered our calls. We decided to give them a second chance; they claimed they had secured a driver and had me send the payment... only to message me 15 minutes later saying the driver had cancelled on them. They are the absolute worst—do not use their service.

This is the second time I have used LoadMaster and the service is amazing. Truck driver was professional and kept me informed of the time for pick up and drop off. It was easy to set up the pick up and delivery. I have no complaints and will definitely use this same company in the future.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They subcontract out the work and clearly don’t vet the process. We ended up with a disgruntled driver screaming in our parking lot because he hadn’t yet gotten paid, we were terrified and he traumatized a young man that lives near us that has autism. This was all after the company told us we could pay with a credit card and then they’d turn around and pay the subcontracted driver on our behalf. Well that didn’t happen prior to delivery (for obvious reasons) and the company said the driver knew, the driver said he didn’t know, and so on and so forth. They then turned around and asked us to just pay the driver and they would refund us the credit charge. We didn’t have the cash to pay so we just had to wait it out (mind you it’s almost midnight). The driver also damaged our vehicle, lied about it, and tried to blame the dealership we got the vehicle from. We’re in the process of having it repaired and they’ve dragged it on for almost two weeks, having us jump through hoops to get an estimate only to be told to put in a claim…why not just send us to claims immediately so as to not continue to waste our time? And whoever David is, the way he talks to people I have to assume he’s the owner because I can’t imagine that someone who wants to keep their job would respond to emails like that. Just seems like the burden has continued to be put on us, doubt we’ll ever get the damage covered.

First time I had to schedule a large vehicle pick-up and delivery, and with so many companies calling and texting me, I was nervous about choosing the right company for the job. I spent 7 hours reading reviews on so many other companies, and came across Loadmaster Group Inc. Most of the reviews were 5 star, so I booked with them. So glad I did! Kay was spectacular! She was kind and very responsive with all my questions. Jasmin was also fantastic with communicating all the delivery details. Our driver was exceptional too! All the hours I spent on reviews was worth it. I would definitely book with Loadmaster Group Inc. again.

This is my second load with Loadmaster Group. The staff is easy to work with and they have reasonable loads. They have even shared extra opportunities with me. Very helpful! Even with my young MC.
