I used this company as their web site said “genuine 15-30 minute response” and “Absolutely no call-out charges”. The response time was 2.5 hours, which I didn’t mind at all. The problem was quickly diagnosed and a solution suggested. The charge was £94.80 including VAT for the 1 minute fix. Without the fix the charge would have been £59.99 for the call-out. Therefore the claim “Absolutely no call-out charges” is false. The company presents itself as being local (I.e. based in my home town) but it is not. Would not recommend or use again based on the false information provided.

I saw there was no call out fee on the website and they came quickly so I thought it would be good. On the phone they seemed nice and agreed £59 + (vat which is usually 10%) which I confirmed twice. The man turned up the next morning promptly. He looked at the door and said a screw needed changing and thats why it was becoming loose. I then took a phone call and came back and the door handle had been dismantled. He said it would be £140 to replace the screw and put it back on. I said it was too much and said I had been quoted £59. He then said it was for the call out charge, vat, parts and labour. I asked for his company name which he couldn't give me. I then called the number from the day before and explained the situation and they hung up on me. I called back 3 times and they kept hanging up. He was also frantically messaging someone at this point. I eventually got through where they addressed me by name before i had even spoken, so they couldnt obviously see my number calling before. They said there was no call out fee and that price was £100 for labour as it was a hard job, despite him literally just changing the screw type and it took him 60 seconds to do. The extra £40 covered the cost of 'parts' - a screw and vat apparently. I refused to pay £140 and the job hadn't even been completed at this point. I explained it wasn't even me paying it was my mum and they had agreed she could pay over the phone the night before after the job was done. She had not agreed to this new price and I could not get hold of her as she was working at the current moment. I said I didn't feel comfortable paying that without her ok as that I wanted a price breakdown which was refused by him and the company. He then refused to leave without payment and changed the price to £120. I paid him so he would leave as I felt the whole situation very intimidating and they were clearly taking advantage of the fact I was a young woman, home alone at the time. I then called my bank and the police as it is fraud under intimidation and the way of paying was very unusual taking my payment details on his phone with no card machine or link sent to me. He and the company also refused to send me a receipt as proof of payment and an invoice breakdown.

Sent out a another equally inept company to my elderly mother and charged £430 for drilling a lock and replacing it with a cheap replacement.
The number of companies in the trail is growing.
Avoid, they will rip you off.

My front door was not locking so I needed it sorted pretty quickly. It's an everyday UPVc door so you don't just unscrew a basic lock.
A search threw up this company and they stated a) 'we come in an hour' and
b)'no call out charge, so I went for them.
They arrived after 3 hours, so a) failed.
The guy removed the locking mechanism and demonstrated it wasn't working, which was clear, then he made a call and announced the replacement part was £360!
I was gobsmacked. So told him I was going to shop around. Then he demanded £60 for the call out, so b) was lie too.
I took the locking mechanism straight down to a local locksmith shop and within 20 minues had it fixed with new working parts for £90.
It was very simple to screw it all back in the door frame.
So this firm is totally untrustworthy, they obviously take advantage of people worried about their home being insecure. Do not use them.
