Dishonest communication and zero respect for the customer’s time
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Volkswagen Zentrum Trier. I traveled 1,000 km to purchase a Volkswagen ID.7 after being assured by the salesperson, Denis, that the car was in top condition and had a full service history. Unfortunately, I encountered one lie after another.
• Service Fraud: Over the phone, I was told the car had just undergone its mandatory inspection. However, upon sitting in the car, the infotainment system clearly stated that the inspection was overdue by 69 days.
• Condition Misrepresentation: I was told one wheel had "minor scratches." In reality, the rim was severely damaged and scratched all around.
• Total Lack of Professionalism: Despite traveling across Europe, there was no preparation. I arrived on Tuesday, stayed overnight in Trier, and was told the car would be ready Wednesday morning. It is now late afternoon, the car is still sitting outside the service area, and Denis shows zero initiative to check on the status or speed up the process.
• Poor Communication: The dealership seems completely indifferent to the fact that I have a 1,000 km drive back home. Because of their delays and dishonesty, I am now forced to stay another night, as I cannot even process the temporary transit plates (export plates) in time.
If you are a long-distance buyer, be very careful. This dealership’s word cannot be trusted, and their customer service—specifically from Denis—is non-existent. They do not value your time or your business.
