I ordered Duets Laser indoor acrylic brushed satin gold over black, a material used for engraved plates and similar work. The sheets were clearly advertised as 8 by 12.What I received measured about 7 and 7/8 by 11 and 7/8. When I called, I was told their literature allows a tolerance. That's not acceptable to me. If you advertise 8 by 12, it should be 8 by 12. For anyone doing laser engraving, cutting, or similar precision work, an 1/8 of an inch matters. The sheets also arrived dusty and not packed with any level of care I would expect. I've worked in this field for 42 years and find this extremely disappointing. I'm not going to waste more time and money returning it, but based on this experience, I wouldn't order again.

⭐ DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME

I went to this business in person since I’m local here in Pennsylvania. The retail storefront was extremely small, basically the size of a bathroom, which was surprising.

They also didn’t have a regular business phone line for me to call, so my order ended up being handled through a Google call. Fine, I could work with that. remind you over 4000.00 order.

The real problem started after I paid.

For two days in a row, the prices I was originally given during our call kept changing and going up AFTER payment. Each time there was another apology or explanation, but eventually it became one apology too many.

When you agree on an order, receive a price, and take someone’s payment, the customer should be able to expect that deal to remain the deal. Instead, the numbers kept changing until the order was no longer what I originally agreed to.

At that point, we canceled the order.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend doing business here. Changing prices after a customer has already paid left a very bad impression and made me lose confidence in the entire transaction. Very slick way of doing business, and not one I’m interested in dealing with again.

I had a very simple project and need a 5”x30” sheet of aluminum with an anodized black finish. A few days later, I received exactly what I needed, carefully packed and quickly shipped, at a great price. I was very happy with this company.

Unfortunately I didn't get anything usable from my order with Makerstock. All of my material was custom size, and every single cut is short, can't fathom why. A couple of the cuts are also out of square with the other edges. Every piece also arrived with some combination of corner and/or edge damage from shipping. I think if you're buying oversized pieces to process yourself, you'll be fine. The baltic birch is good quality. But don't order material expecting to use it straight out of the box.

I ordered 4 2x2 sheets light blue transparent acrylic and recieved 4 2”x2” squares! The website is miss leading and shows the price 2.95 for each sheet and 15.64 $ to ship!

I was moving my work and my apartment and didn’t get to open the box They sent me until out of their return date. The work was horrible— uneven cutting, melted material all over front and back. Objects that were supposed to be identical were seriously mismatched. Powdery white substance on half the pieces, edges not straight and often melted. Anyone packing the box should have known the project was a fail but since I’d prepaid They shipped anyway. Every single thing I got from them $200 worth went straight into the trash their response? Try wiping with a cloth. Ugh

Custom acrylic pieces shipped the next day after ordering. Accurate, ...expensive, but worth every penny!

Excellent quality wood for engraving and other crafts at a decent price. Well packaged, the box came mangled as our usps often brings packages but they had enough layers and added corners so the wood didn’t have a scratch and no broken corners. Every piece was useable which is often an issue when ordering wood for engraving.
