All the staff were welcoming and friendly from the moment I walked in. I was given a first class service. My makeup and hair looked amazing. Niamh, the photographer put me at ease and it was a natural experience.

My daughter attended Manchester School of Modelling around 12 weeks ago, and I can’t believe how much has happened since then.

Around 8 weeks after her experience, she was signed by Nemesis Model Agency, and today we found out she’s got her FIRST booking for JD Sports!! 😭🙌 I honestly couldn’t be prouder or more excited for her.

It did take a little while for things to start happening and there was definitely some waiting involved, but looking back now, it has been completely worth it. You just have to be patient and trust the process.

A massive thank you to Katelyn for all your support throughout and to Chantelle for believing in my daughter from the beginning. That really meant so much to us. ❤️

Everyone at Manchester School of Modelling has been amazing and so supportive. To think that just 12 weeks ago we were walking into the studio, and now she’s signed to an agency and has her first booking for JD Sports is just incredible.

Had my makeup and hair done by such a good MUA and the experience was smooth and the directors are all kind and understanding! The images come out amazing ! No pressure to buy any packages at the end!

⚠️ Warning: Unauthorised Contract Changes & Aggressive Tactics

I am warning all consumers to avoid MSOM Group Ltd (Manchester School of Modelling). During a viewing session on 3 July 2026, I was subjected to intense high-pressure sales tactics.

After physically leaving the studio premises, the merchant's system altered my contract terms behind my back - adding an unauthorised £100 in-house charge onto a £1,500 package. The separate £100 was cancelled with GoCardless then set up again with Square. Core terms and non-cancellation policies were hidden and only emailed to me in the early hours of the next morning.

They have refused to process a same-day cancellation, kept the £1,500 finance funds disbursed by Payl8r, and have completely ignored a formal legal Letter Before Action, despite email tracking proving they read it multiple times after I sent it.

This matter is under active investigation by the Financial Ombudsman Service and Trading Standards (Case Ref: CCA-8841864 via Citizens Advice), for severe breaches of the Consumer Protection Regulations regarding aggressive and misleading commercial practices. Avoid at all costs.

I have never done a photo shoot before and the girl at Manchester school of modeling made the experience very memorable,
The way they made me feel very welcome on arrival and throughout the photo shoot. I Would strongly recommend to anyone who is curious about the process…

Was a lovely pampering experience and a lovely opportunity to look glamorous and have fun posing for photos. Everyone was very kind. The process of going forward ie- modelling agencies or extra work also discussed at length with honest feedback provided.

Took my 9 year old daughter there 2 weeks ago for a modelling experience. Staff were lovely, my daughter absolutely loved the experience , the only downside was at the end when you go in to speak to some staff after they have revised the pictures. You can automatically tell that they want you to sign something to pay a lot of money for either the pictures or a subscription. When I refused this it was obvious they were not happy. They said they would send me one free photo and I could pick which one I would like , I have never received this photo. So please just be very careful and cautious when you go and do not feel like you need to pay or sign for anything.

All staff were so friendly, warm welcoming and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. The studio is well equipped and relaxed. I met some gorgeous staff and models. Excellent service through out, I will be back very soony. Much love and many thanks for the wonderful experience. 😍😊

I had high expectations for this opportunity. I had a long extensive phone call and emails sent prior to taking part in Manchester school of modelling. I was fully aware it’s not an agency and that I’d get my hair and makeup done and I’d learn different poses etc..

I was told on the phone it would be £150-£200 for photographs and the person on the phone said you only get the photographs if you get through, which was very confusing because I thought get through what if it’s not an agency. Anyways I wanted to do the experience to gain more knowledge into the industry I wasn’t bothered about photos or buying them.

I had my makeup done and did my own hair due to wanting to do my own hair styling. Then went into the room and took loads of photos and my photographer was great with showing me what positions to do.

Then I was told to go off for a few hours whilst photos were edited. Then before I went into the room I was told from another model the price of the photos and that you get one free.

Also on the phone call prior to going I was told to give a £35 deposit and that this was refunded and only to secure my place.

When I went in the room the lady showed me my photos and I asked to see them without the edits as I like natural shots. Of course the photos were gorgeous and I wish I’d walked away with just one. The package prices are ridiculous and unless you want to set up a payment plan or have money set aside we’re talking over £1000 for 10 or 15 images! I’ve done shoots before where I’ve gotten 100’s of photos for free.

The lady who gave me the price in the room also said that they don’t offer the refund back (£35) and tried to throw in a few free images so that I’d buy.

I think it’s very misleading and they need clear information and clarification for anyone else going forward. I’ve emailed and sent them a message several times and no response so that’s why I have come on here to talk about my experience.

Other than the misleading information about photo prices and the £35 deposit, the photographer I worked with was fab.

Felt nervous before the shoot, but within seconds of entering the building, I felt comfortable.
Lovely staff, felt confident in my own skin. Would definitely reccommend!
