Absolutely nightmare would never…

Absolutely nightmare would never recommend been chasing them over 2 years after they have not completed work correctly still leaks from pipes, can’t get through to anyone I am sick and tired of this company I will be taking this matter further.

What a truly terrible company to deal with

What a truly terrible company. I do not recommend to allow them to do anything to your property. The wall installation took over 6 months. Rubbish left for six months, none of the workers speak English so it is very difficult to ask them if things are wrong and want correcting . Down pipe still leaking, all downpipes have screws in instead of nicely fitting joints. Cannot get hold of the guy who runs it, always goes to voicemail. Concrete splatters all over the public pavement and next doors front door. Very messy workers. Had to borrow my ladder as they did not have one of their own….. They took away the concrete step on the front door and smashed it. You have to chase them all the time to get any afterwork corrected and they are full of promises but never turn up. If There was a no star rating I would give them this. I have now reported them to Ofgem to see of they can resolve my issues

Great service from start to finish

I recently had insulation work done through Marigold Insulation, and I'm really pleased with the results. The team was professional and friendly, and they explained everything clearly before starting. The installers did a tidy job and cleaned up properly afterwards. The whole process was straightforward, and I noticed the difference in my home straight away. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to improve their home's energy efficiency. Thanks to the team!

They started insulation work in July of…

They started insulation work in July of this year and literally finished the works at the end of November. They failed to cover the gap between the external insulation and the wall, it rained and the internal walls are now saturated with water. On 4 occasions water began leaking into the kitchen floor through a ventilation pipe which they failed to cover. The scaffolding is still up as at 3-12-25. They have ruined my Tenants use and enjoyment of the property. There is more to this horror but by way of summary "cowboys" are better equipped to the job they undertook. I have reported them to Trade Mark. Stay away from this company like the plauge.

Great work!

It has been a great experience with Rares Matei and his team. They have carried out the insulation at very high quality with minimal mess. I definitely would recommend using these insulators.

The entire installation was a…

The entire installation was a nightmare. The constant complaints I have submitted to the company and its team leader Usman Pasha has been in volumes, yet still outstanding complaints. Still waiting on outstanding remidial work to be completed. The external installation is a recommendation for energy saving if done according compliance. Unfortunately so many companies like Marigold are taking full advantage of this and leaving homeowners stress,anxious, frustrated and loss of money. This company needs to be held accountable for there misrepresentation and I truly believe they are hiring labours who are unvetted or process legally in this country. I will be pursuing a legal case with all my evidence I have been collated over the year. If anyone else has had enough and want to see a fair outcome from the horrific events I or yourself as a customer have fallen victim too, am happy to team up as I believe we will recieve a stronger resolution from our justice system.

This company is an absolute disgrace

This company is an absolute disgrace. They carried out insulation work at my mum’s house last year and left it in a complete mess. We later discovered a serious water leak — the pipe inside the walls was leaking, and instead of fixing it, they had actually sprayed insulation foam over it to hide it!

This caused major water damage to the internal walls and ceiling, and poses a serious health and safety risk. I contacted the company back in July to have it sorted, and now it’s October — nothing has been fixed. They take no responsibility at all for their own mistakes.

I have since lodged a formal complaint with the council. Honestly, do not use this company. You’ll regret it. Leave your home as it is before letting these cowboys anywhere near it.
They are unqualified workers
They try and force you to
Sign paperwork to say you are happy with the work when it’s not even completed
Rubbish left in garden for months and not collected
They damaged internal walls and won’t pay to have wallpaper redone in room just the wall they damaged not sure how these people live but happy to leave a old woman with different wallpaper on walls through no fault of hers
Workers do not speak English so you can’t even communicate with them and they prob are not even qualified
Save yourself the headache and hassle get your work done from else where

Atrocious Aftermath

The workers themselves have done a great job. We had the internal insulation and adjustment to the thermostat/dial that were done. Along with external insulation that was completed too. All the workers were professional. It’s just a shame that the company themselves are not as great. We’re still waiting for inspection the scaffolding removal and rubbish to be taken. The work has gone a month over the initial end date and due to the work my sky satellite and broadband have been affected and have been a month without it. I wfh and that has been affected along with keeping my young children entertained. I have called many engineers out all are saying nothing can be amended until the scaffolding has been removed. I’m having to chase the company for the inspection for over a week with no guidance. LACK OF COMMUNICATION - USELESS

Stay away

I booked an appointment two weeks in advance, but no one showed up. I contacted the office and was told someone was on their way — yet an hour later, still no one arrived. I had travelled from Coventry that morning and arrived at the property half an hour before the scheduled time. Despite several attempts to follow up, my calls were ignored. Very disappointing experience — I would advise others to avoid.

Poor quality incomplete work

The whole work they did has been knocked down to scratch and is being done by another company from Wales that do the work to the regulations and do it right from the beginning. This Marigold had left the job without fitting gutters till rain started coming in house after complaining 6 months they fitted gutters and still job was not complete left us waiting 12 months where we endlessly complained to them they had no care! Many of their jobs done are being torn down to scratch to be done properly to make sure it’s fully insulated and properly done. The company just cares about taking lump sum cash as grant from government rushing job in 2 days then not to turn up again!

First time fit boiler + central heating

Had a new boiler and radiators all round fitted as a first time fit. The engineer and his accomplice were polite, friendly, hardworking and nothing was too much trouble. Minimum disruption, cleared up after themselves and did a professional job. Wouldn't hesitate to use again.

Not a good experience in the end

Not a good experience in the end. Full of promises at the start and some of the workers were nice and decent at their work but it goes downhill very fast. Initially promised the full external wall, boiler and loft insulation and then when they come out, we are told we won’t be getting the external wall insulation, only the boiler and loft insulation, despite waiting for a long time under the promise that we would be getting the external wall insulation, but apparently funding was no longer available for the external wall which was fine although less than ideal.

The loft insulation work was fine, but in doing the other work, they broke some items. A kitchen tube light (which was reimbursed by one of the workers), curtain rail and left a big stain on our hallway carpet. However, the worst part was when fitting the boiler, the engineers they had contracted connected the water pipes up to the gas meter. 😳 I genuinely couldn’t believe it, but I saw something wrong was happening when they were panicking and started taking the gas meter off to drain it. Eventually they started to let me know that there was a small issue which in all fairness they tried fixing using a wet vac. But clearly it was a bigger problem than they had told me as it took them 6-7 following visits to try and fix it and despite being told each time that it was fixed, it wasn’t until I had researched and seen that we would likely need to get Cadent Gas out to inspect it as whatever they were doing was clearly not working.

Cadent came out and were very helpful and showed clearly that the whole gas meter was completely waterlogged and couldn’t be used going forward so it needed replacing which they did on the day. They suggested I get Marigold to come out and try to wet vac the boiler valve section once again to ensure that all the remaining water was cleared up and I have been trying to get in touch with the company and boiler engineer since but they do not seem to be taking/returning my calls anymore.

Instead, someone came by to do an “updated” survey which had names I didn’t recognise on it and all documents were old and signed off the last year so I am unsure why it needed completing again. The young lad tried to get my mom to sign it without reading through so I asked for a copy and that I will get back to him. Upon further inspection, there was a new page in the middle of the pack to be signed that slides to the fact that Marigold won’t be held responsible for anything to do with the boiler once it has been done and handed over. It seemed strange that this was the only new page in the pack to be signed and was the only one that was unsigned. Very dodgy tbh. I haven’t signed that document yet as I still have not had the follow up from Marigold from the Cadent visit, not even a courtesy check in which you would expect they should do after such a big and rare error they made. I cannot believe we were so unlucky to encounter such an issue with such amateur service. I would not recommend using this company if they insist on using such contractors.

I can now see (from Google reviews) that the person they sent to sign off the job Tom, who claimed to be from another company likely works with these guys too as he has been one of the “5 star” reviews (all from Halesowen with 1 review per account) and all with the same good comments about Marigold.

Even here on TP, there a bunch of reviews which seem fabricated to boost their score. It is highly unusual to have so many 1 star reviews and then so many “5 star” reviews too. I would say it is much more likely that the service you will receive will be more akin to a 1 star, do the research and trust your gut. I wouldn’t recommend them personally.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY...

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.... They have wrecked my house, and now I have to get tradesmen in to fix all the damage they have made. They are not professional people, and now I am left with only half the work done, as I am too stressed to let them back in my house due to their incompetence. I had an electrician come round to check some work, and they were horrified at what they had done so far. I was not even told about some work they did to my house, as their English was not very clear. I will never use this company again, but because it was through the government ECHO grant, I trusted them. Now it will cost me thousands to put it right!!!!!!

Do your research before doing anything

I regret doing with this company everything they did was wrong I don't no were to start the atik room meaning loft room the paint job was rubbish the plastering was horrible no insulation was inserted I had better one done before damp and leak cracked wall then the boiler work rubbish people can turn the central heater on the water drops then the wall if they did the job properly the first time they wouldn't have to come back and when they did the layout looks shit I mean I had to keep phoning the company multiple times they keep saying I'm sorry but sorry is no good STAY AWAY FROM THEM look for better one
