Mariner Finance, LLC (“Mariner”) and/or WebBank, as applicable, (collectively “Lender,” “we,” or “us,” as applicable) offers personal loans from $1,000 to $25,000, with minimum and maximum amounts dependent on the underwriting of the loan and subject to applicant’s satisfaction of eligibility requirements and approval by Lender, and an applicant’s state of residence for Mariner-originated loans. Terms and conditions apply.
†Online loans between $1,500 and $14,000, originated by WebBank, except online loans in CA and MD originated by Mariner Finance, LLC. Loans greater than $14,000 or less than $1,500 may be originated by Mariner through Mariner’s branch network. Any stated APR represents the cost of credit as an estimated yearly rate, and each applicant’s specific interest rates and fees are determined as permitted under federal or state law (as applicable) based upon loan amount, term, the applicant’s ability to meet specific credit criteria including, but not limited to, credit history at the time of application, income, debt payment obligations, and other factors such as availability of collateral, and state of residency for Mariner-originated loans. Not all applicants will qualify for the lowest rates or larger loan amounts, which may require a first lien on a motor vehicle not more than ten years old titled in the applicant’s name with valid insurance. Any loan by phone and/or online closing process requires a compatible mobile or computer device on which you can access your email and electronic documents. Not all loan types are eligible for loan by phone or online loan closing.
*The process uses a “soft” credit inquiry to determine whether a loan offer is available, which does not impact your credit score. If you continue with the application process online and accept a loan offer, or are referred to a branch and continue your application there, we will pull your credit report and credit score again using a “hard” credit inquiry. This “hard” credit inquiry may impact your credit score.
**Mariner Finance’s 15-Day Satisfaction Guarantee provides that if, for any reason, you inform us that you are dissatisfied with your loan and you repay it in full within 15 days of the date of the loan in the form of cash or certified funds, all finance charges will be waived with no penalties. A cancellation of your Mariner Finance loan will not impact, affect, and/or cancel the terms of any purchase of a vehicle or other item(s) with the proceeds of your loan. Additionally, your return to the dealer or seller of any vehicle or other item(s) purchased with your loan proceeds will not constitute a cancellation of your Mariner Finance loan.

The overall process of getting approved…
The overall process of getting approved for our home improvement project was easy and simple. However, no offense to the person that called me to talk to me about our loan and how to start making payments, but the person that called sounded really unprofessional and like they didn’t know what they were talking about or what they were even calling about. My husband and I were sitting there on the phone and they basically said that they were calling and to ask ask us if we had any questions about anything and we haven’t been directed in any specific way how to start making payments or when to make payments as we never received anything in the mail, the lady that talked on the phone sounded really uneasy and not professional at all as if they were ashamed somehow to be reaching out to us. It is just a really awkward conversation.

Poor customer service!!
Do not apply to this company! The Cartersville branch gave bad customer service. By saying your approved. Then you send all information. They say they will call back to finalize but never call. I had to keep calling back to get my status. Then my agent Amber says sorry I forgot. My boss changed their mind on the approval . Mind you this was three days in. The reason was very poor at best. Don't waste you time and energy!

I received a promotional check from…
I received a promotional check from mariner finance nearly 3 years ago, I always paid on time not one late payment. I attempted to obtain a loan for the holidays and brought all verification as requested. After 3 hours of the wait game, I was denied because my husbands driver’s license had our old address then they requested a copy of my lease agreement, no problem mad a call and it was sent. The manager then returned stating my husband’s income could not be accepted. In spite of the social security award letter and statements from our bank. Our experience was awful inspite of our transparency. The loan amount was 1/3 of the original loan. Our experience was embarrassing despite our efforts to comply with their request all of which was verified. Thank God I have one year to pay them out. I would not recommend them at all unless you’re willing to be treated less than a citizen

Scammed
My wife and I took out a loan with Mariner Finance a month ago. We left (after waiting almost 3 hours in their branch) with the understanding that we had borrowed $7500. The agent rushed us through the "paperwork" (which was actually a computer screen she swiped through rapidly). Now, as of a few days ago, we've found out that they've added an additional $8000 to our loan, based on some shady 20+ year old debt. This is a total scam. I filed bankruptcy in 2019 and this so-called debt was from 2002 - so it would not have been legitimate. All my debts prior to 2019 were dismissed.

Copies of all of these documents are made available at loan closing and online. Furthermore, after review, your situation has already been escalated and is being reviewed by Operations Management. If you have any additional concerns beyond those already being investigated, please contact our Customer Relations Department at (844) 338-2080.
