Leads were terrible
Leads were terrible and was not given the number of leads I paid for. They lock you into a long contract with no way of getting out of it. DO NOT use them. Better off canvasing and finding your own leads for less money.
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR MARKETLEADER
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR MARKETLEADER. I REPEAT DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR PAID LEADS/SUBSCRIPTION. Their leads are terrible. I was on 6 month minimum contract and paid $600 monthly. Their leads are trash. The entire month, I was able to connect with 2 people via phone call. They both said they were cash buyer. They travel to Vegas often, but knew nothing about it. Which were all suspicious. It feels they target more of an elderly crowd who did not have real intentions on buying. Your money is better spent elsewhere. I've paid for other lead sources and have felt disappointed and the leads did not meet my expectation, but Market Leader just feels fraudulent. Just save your money and spend it elsewhere.
Avoid, rapid price increases, poor SEO
I had market leader for around 5 years. When I went to cancel I contacted them on March 11th to let them know I wanted to cancel because the prices just kept going up they went through from 159 to $189 a month in just a matter of a year or so. I couldn't continue to do it. April 1st they charge me another $189 and wouldn't cancel without payment.
deceptive and dishonest
Hands down the most deceptive and misleading company I have ever dealt with.
Shame on me for not reading all of the fine print word for word. But what I received was not anything close to what was pitched/explained to me.
Lying by omission is still lying.
I called 2 months into my 6 month agreement to cancel. I called 3 months in to cancel. Now on the last day of my 6 month contract I’m told they need 35 days notice to cancel and now I will have to pay for an extra two months of “leads” that I’m not even sure are real people.
1/2 of the leads didn’t have phone numbers. Some had fake names or fake emails. My own name was provided as a lead and a couple other realtors in the area were provided as leads as well. Total waste of time and money.
Don't Waste Your Money-They Are a Scam
This company promised quality seller leads for a high cost. The leads I received were fake or already listed. Not a single one turned out to be a real actual person except one, who had no idea how I got their information. I reported to the BBB because they refused to let me out of my 6 month contract despite knowingly sending me junk leads. I think this is a scam company that puts on a really great show in the beginning. They should not be in business.. Don't waste your money.
Expensive + questionable leads.
Expensive lead-generation service provider offering questionable leads. A month in, I experienced a death in the family and was too grief-stricken and needed a break from the leads to focus on my family. I asked them to pause or cancel. They refused!! When I followed up with the leads via email and phone, they were bogus leads. The legitimate leads asked to be removed.
SCAM
This company preys on new agents who are eager to get leads. They push you into signing a six-month contract that they make extremely difficult, if not impossible, to cancel. The leads go nowhere. Most are completely unresponsive, and many don’t even provide a phone number. A large percentage opt out of contact altogether.
As a new agent, $440 a month is not a small expense. I signed up expecting that by at least the second month I would have one solid opportunity, something with potential. That never happened.
What’s worse is the lack of transparency. The person I initially spoke with never clearly disclosed the six-month commitment. I was also told that if the leads were “bunk,” I would be credited or refunded. That turned out to be completely misleading.
When I tried to cancel, they refused. When I asked for help or solutions, they offered none.
These are not vetted or motivated buyers as advertised. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these leads are bots.
If you’re a new agent, stay far away. This is not a service that helps you grow your business, it drains your time, energy, and money.
STAY AWAY FROM MARKET LEADER TOTAL SCAM!
If I could give them zero stars, I would!!!! They prey on new agents that are excited to get leads and finesse you into signing a 6 months contract that they refuse to cancel. The leads go NOWHERE. Non responsive leads. And being a new agent, I don’t have extra money to spare… $699 a month. I signed up thinking at least by month 2 I would have at least one lead that would be going somewhere. They refuse to cancel my subscription, they refuse to help in any way. THEY ARE A SCAM! Stay far away from them! The person I spoke with in the beginning never mentioned a 6 month contract and she also said that if the leads were “bunk” I would get money back for those leads. COMPLETELY MISLEADING AND A LIE! Stay far far away from this company, especially new agents, they will prey on you!!!!
The leads are all fake and 90% opt out from receiving any contact from you and don’t provide a phone number. I wouldn’t be surprised if these “leads” are bots. These are not motivated or vetted buyers like the company claims they are!
The absolute worst company
The absolute worst company! Ive been a customer for years and the treatment i have received in trying change may account is beyond deplorable. Customer service is rude and they care about anything you have to say, they just want your money. Its impossible to cancel so beware!
Stay the Hell Away..
All of the reviews below are correct times 10. I pointed out the Chatgpt reviews to them and I noticed an instant change in their reviews. They had someone change the ChatGPT to their advantage. I complained about the bots and Fake leads, spammers they just increased the crappy leads/bots. You have no recourse other than change your company. I have been with Market Peeder for 15 years. I will be moving on after my contract expires.
Market Leader Bad Work Ethics
I was supposedly sold a lead generation package of both Buyers and Sellers by Spencer Lanquist. After a few months into the program, all I received were Buyer leads and not qualified by any of your sense of imagination. Most of the leads were bad, no response from supposedly very interested buyers. No showings, no sales for the 6-month period. I am a vet in real estate, broker/owner over 20 plus years in my own business so I know how to work the lead generation programs. Their contract is 30 pages in length. They have breached their contract with my brokerage; however, they do not acknowledge it this way. They sent me a code 2x which is a must do for them to consider canceling any agent. I sent several emails stating my canceling of the subscription at the end of November 30, 2025. I paid well over $3100 for these junk leads. Because I did not respond to their code cancelation, they charged me again for the month of December stating any credits would be applied toward that payment. I contacted my credit card company prior to December billing from them and blocked their charge. Despite my efforts they are still billing me for an addition $65.00 and keeping my credited money. Agents: Caveat Emptor. They emailed me a half-loaded inquiry today and said in order to receive the full application of the lead, I would need to complete the payment process. My next step is to have my attorney look into this matter to address the way they conduct business. They are all Well-Wishers at your expense. I have nothing good to say about this company nor the unprofessional way I was treated including being hung up on 2x by their account's person intentionally. Market Leader representatives do not have good business ethics!
Disappointed by Lack of Transparency and Renewal Practices
I initially had a great experience with my Market Leader sales representative — they were helpful, informative, and genuinely cared about my goals. Unfortunately, the company’s billing and contract handling have been the complete opposite.
My six-month contract began in June 2025, and I provided written notice to cancel on November 4, 2025, before the initial term ended. Despite this, Market Leader insists on charging me for December, claiming my account automatically renewed to month-to-month.
The problem? I was never sent a copy of my executed contract after signing, nor did I receive any renewal reminder or written disclosure 30–60 days before the term ended, as required by Louisiana law for auto-renewal agreements. When I requested proof of when a contract copy or renewal notice was sent to me, the company was unable (or unwilling) to provide it.
It’s disappointing that a company in the real estate technology space would hold my domain name hostage and push for payment beyond the agreed term without clear documentation or proper notice. I’ve already paid through the end of November and have been more than fair in trying to resolve this professionally.
I would encourage Market Leader to improve their transparency in contract delivery, renewal disclosure, and account closure processes. Honest agents who pay their bills and follow the rules shouldn’t be penalized for unclear or undocumented company procedures.
Avoid at all Costs
I’ve never dealt with a company that cared less about its customers. Market Leader’s customer service is unresponsive, dismissive, and consistently unhelpful. They send passive-aggressive emails if you miss your onboarding call, yet scheduling one is nearly impossible because everything has to be done strictly on their time, during limited Pacific hours that don’t work for most professionals.
The product itself is equally disappointing. Their drip and nurture campaigns can’t be edited, which means automated texts go out to potential clients at random hours (6 AM, 11 PM, etc.). When I raised this issue, their only “solution” was to remove the SMS feature entirely instead of fixing the problem.
Every single lead I received was fake — wrong numbers, fake names, or completely cold contacts. Nothing was vetted or remotely “warm” as advertised. The “done-for-you” website they promised came with no actual support or guidance.
When I decided not to continue after my 6-month term, I emailed them multiple times in writing to confirm. Their response was that I must call exactly 35 days before renewal to cancel — and that written notice is not accepted. It’s yet another tactic to make cancellation as difficult as possible and keep charging you.
Market Leader’s system is outdated, their processes are rigid, and their service is built to benefit them, not their customers. I strongly recommend avoiding this company altogether.
Terrible
Terrible. Most of the leads have no phone number and the CRM is not intuitive. I definitely have buyers remorse on this product.
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars i would. Total scam company. RUN AWAY. The "leads" were already people i was working with. Of the leads that i got that weren't mine, only 4 in 6 months had a phone number. ZERO return on this "investment". And bitchy staff to boot.
RUN AWAY
More Leads, Less Effort, Can't Complain
With Market Leader, I get leads in my area and tools to automatically work them for me. I save time and have been connecting with more buyers and sellers (mostly buyers) than ever. Can't complain!
Never EVER use Market Leader
Absolutely the WORST lead generation experience I’ve had in 21 years. Signed up in May for a 6 month contact. First they lied about still be affiliated with Coldwell Banker then the “leads” started coming in. The leads were beyond bad. They refused to honor any “returned” leads and most of the leads had fake emails and disconnected or incorrect phone numbers. I was told incorrect emails or bad phone numbers didn’t count. NEVER USE THIS SHAM OF A COMPANY. They refused to cancel for any reason including breach of contract.
Fraudant bogus lead companWe attempted to cancel the contract multiple times - they hit our account for an additional $3200! The leads are not worth a dime but a huge waste of time! DO NOT DO IT!
Horrible experience! Not one lead in over a year! We attempted several times to cancel after a year and they continued to hit our account for over $3,000+ This is the worst company we have ever dealt with. Reps are rude and hold time is unbearable!
The leads they provide aren't worth…
The leads they provide aren't worth what you're paying. They don't allow any account changes, and you're stuck speaking with Ami to make any changes: and she's horrible.
Worst lead company I've ever done business with in 11 years in real estate.
This is a pie in the sky system
This is a pie in the sky system, they are not leads, they are web site hits from people who have no intention of ever, I repeat ever, speaking to you about their Real Estate needs. Money down the drain, that's why they want 6 months of your money. I canceled after three months and the lady I spoke with said she was turning me over to a 3rd party collections. I received 20 or so hits over three months and only one
provided a phone number and after contacting them via email severl times not one responce. It is better to do nothing than waste 700 a month on something that does not work!!!!!
