The software is really good with great…

The software is really good with great functionalities however the support is horrible. I got a support manager Martin Ferreria who was supposed to help me with the initial set up, however, his knowledge base is very poor to support a customer. Then he suddenly stopped responding to any of the emails. I was told to contact the support via chat. The chat is as usual AI and takes a while to reach out as well.

Misleading Sales, Poor Support, and Constant System Issues

Our experience with MarketMan has been extremely disappointing. The platform is complicated, full of bugs, and lacks flexibility for real restaurant operations. Reporting, invoice processing, and integrations constantly have issues, making even simple tasks time-consuming.
Customer support is slow, often unhelpful, and provides little real resolution. We were also misled by a sales deal that pushed us to pay for a full year upfront before truly testing the product. Once we realized how many issues the system had and requested to cancel, they refused any refund or cancellation, leaving us stuck with a service we don’t even use anymore.
We’ve since moved to another software solution that’s far more efficient and transparent. Unfortunately, MarketMan has been one of the most frustrating systems we’ve ever used.

Really poor system

Really poor system. I got this program to use for inventory management, it was not user friendly at all. The only way to sheet to shelf my products was dragging and dropping. After spending hours trying to set this up I found there was no efficient way.

After not using this program and paying for it, 3800 dollars for the entire year. They would not let me cancel because I gave a 30 day noice instead of 60 days. Even though I tried reaching out to my sales rep that was no longer with the company.
My email went to a dead address so it was my fault. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I would suggest margin edge.

I’m unable to locate any option to pay…

I’m unable to locate any option to pay my invoice directly through my MarketMan platform. Instead, I received an email from an unfamiliar address ending in @billing.mealticket.com, which differs from your main domain. The invoice contains a "Pay Now" button that redirects to upflow dot io website.
Given the current rise in online scams, this multi-domain setup (MarketMan, MealTicket, Upflow) raises some concerns. WHY just WHY would you make it so complicated? Apple.com makes me pay my invoices on apple.com not on gilling.yourinvoice.google.com

Huge Red Flag

Never sign up with this company. They are super aggressive is your credit card does not go through but when you want to stop using their service. It’s impossible to stop. They are a huge Red Flag

Extremely Frustrating Cancellation Process – Beware Before Signing Up

MarketMan is a fairly easy-to-use SAAS product and getting started was simple enough. We used it for several years, despite the fact that it was never integrated with our POS system — which made it clunky and inefficient compared to competitors. We finally made the switch to a much better, integrated platform.

That’s when the real headache started.

Trying to cancel MarketMan was like jumping through flaming hoops. They pulled the classic move of referencing “contract terms” and a required 60-day notice — which I tried to provide. Instead of simply processing the cancellation, they responded with calendar invites and offers to “jump on a call” to show me what the software could do. After years of being a paying customer, this was insulting and incredibly tone-deaf. I made it crystal clear: just cancel my account. Charge me for the 60 days if you must. I don’t care — just cancel.

Instead, they dragged things out with useless back-and-forth emails, hoops to jump through, and more pointless invitations to talk about features I’ve already used and decided weren’t worth it. It's the kind of dark-pattern nonsense that gives SAAS companies a bad name.

You are not incurring costs to support me during the "notice period" — you’re just trying to trap customers into paying longer than they want to. I shouldn’t have to email a dozen people or waste time scheduling calls just to stop paying for a product I no longer want to use.

MarketMan, maybe take a look at the new “click-to-cancel” law that was passed — it exists because of tactics like yours.

If you want software that works with your systems and a company that treats its customers with respect — especially when they want to leave — I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. MarketMan is not that company.

Refuse to remove my number

Despite being contacted as they are using my private number without my consent for a company I left even before they used MarketMan, they have done nothing about removing my number. Disgrace.

Do not use them

Do not use them - very user unfriendly, not helpful with with setup, high costs and they lock you in for a contract. We have not used them for many months yet have been billed thousands of dollars.

Terrible company

Terrible company. Difficult to find where to start but from the beginning a distinct lack of support. Continued to pay for a system that we literally never used and then when we began trying to use it we were informed of a number of hidden charges that we were not made aware of when signing up, basically making the system unaffordable to us. We asked our account manager for a refund as we have never used it and he said he would ask his bosses about a refund however we have had no reply. Following this, money was taken from our account randomly a number of months after cancelling (£600!!) and now they are ignoring our emails. This has quite literally cost my business thousands of pounds for absolutely nothing. And not even a reply. Only one option left which unfortunately is legal action.

Poor service charges even after you've cancelled

Had a similar experience to other reviews, having cancelled the system 6 months later they started taking payments again saying they had no record of my cancellation and made my pay an additional 3 months for a system I wasn't using. Lots of hidden charges they don't tell you about at the start and poor in responding to emails.

Could have been a good app, but unfortantly the support isn't there.

After being intised to sign with them 3 months before our opening, we came to learn after we signed with them that we can only start using the app after we have actual invoices, which meant that we paid for 3 months before we could even start entering data. Once we opened, we were so busy with the opening, we only started to set things up a month after the opening (so now we are 4 months in). Following that, they uploaded our invoices, and registered the same item multiple times, which means the same item from the same supplier would appear as three seperate items. Now we are 7 months in and have not been able to make one stock take, or make one order from the system. We have asked them multiple times to assist us, although their training people are helpful to an extent, our meetings with them takes 2 weeks to be scheduled.
