Ich versuche seit mittlerweile 10.11.2025 vergeblich ein Ersatzteil für meinen Tresor zu bekommen. Nach einer anfänglichen Rückmeldung des "Supports" vom 16.01.2026 (!!!) und einer Rückfrage meinerseits ist nun seit 3 Monaten wieder Funkstille. Kein Pieps. Nichts. Ich bin nun dazu übergegangen, an jedem Wochentag via Kontaktformular nach einem Statusupdate zu fragen.
Mein subjektiver Eindruck vom Kunden-Support: Desaströs bis nicht vorhanden.
Für mich vollkommen unverständlich, wie man auf diese Art ein Unternehmen führen kann.

C'est une honte! Vous méritez -5 étoiles. Toujours en attente de réponse du SAV par mail, depuis le 12 février. Vous envoyez bien votre mail de retour que vous avec bien receptio mon mail et que vous alliez alliez y répondre dès que possible. Par téléphone également aucune reponse de votre part ça sonne mais jamais rien . Une honte pour une marque comme vous.

Service après vente inexistant. Les numéros de telephones ne répondent pas, et les emails envoyés restent sans réponse. Le revendeur n'obtient pas de réponse non plus.
Master Lock multiple product failures
Right before Christmas, I purchased 2 three-packs of Master Locks padlocks.
I have trusted this company, and used their products for decades so it seemed like an excellent deal at $10 a pack.
Big mistake!
Each of these six locks has failed in exactly the same way.
Somehow or another, the tumblers seem to get out of alignment, and when you put the key in, it just goes round and round without ever unlocking the lock.
Powdered graphite does not help.
Yesterday was the last straw, and the last lock.
I was locked out of my gate, and it was after dark.
Fortunately, I had bolt cutters in the car. And a flashlight.
Note: these are the smallest bolt cutters manufactured, but they went through the shank of this lock like a knife through hot butter.
It took exactly ONE attempt to cut through this cheap lock.
Nice to know I can trust this product to keep my property secure. 🙄🙄🙄
I will never purchase any product from this company again.

They sacrificed a decades-long customer relationship for a grossly inferior product.
It wasn't just the failure of a single lock.
We're talking six locks here.

I will never recommend Master Lock, and I will also be happy to let anyone who is interested know of my dismal experience with this product that has degenerated into cheapness, and unreliability.
Paid for master code, have never received the code
My husband passed away unexpectedly just before Christmas. We have a safe, a Sentry Safe, which is now part of Master Lock. I do not remember the code. We bought the safe several years ago. I went to the website, filled out the needed information, and paid the fee to receive a master code to open the safe, as there are legal papers I need, including the will and POA. My credit card was charged immediately. This was on January 8th, 2026. I never received a code via mail or email. I have submitted SIX help tickets with NO response. My original order number is RUS100666
The help tickets are as follows: 260119-000571
260119-000561, 260117-000209, 260116-001676, 260115-001599, 260114-002059. As stated, there has been no response from this company. I need what I paid for, and this should not be that difficult. Beware when dealing with this company. I am unsure what is going on and feel that they may be scamming people like me.
rusty padlock after 2 months
I bought a garage padlock that was supposed to be weatherproof. After 2 months the padlock got rusty and hard to open. I contacted the company twice requesting a replacement or refund. They never got back to me.
Masterlock USED to be a dependable…
Masterlock USED to be a dependable brand, now it's garbage but the company has cornered the market so it's difficult to find an acceptable alternative.
I had 2 small dial Masterlocks, each didnt even last a full year before they malfunctioned. This last time I had extreme difficulty getting it open. I just bought another Masterlock combination lock because it was the only brand available. Just opened the package and the English instructions were ripped because they were stuck to the glue packaging.
The ONLY reason I bought another Masterlock was because my employees have a hard time with combination locks (which are much better and less expensive) and I need to secure a storage unit that allows multiple people access.
I will be sure to find another brand for next time which I'm sure will be soon given my experience with Masterlock.
They don't respond to emails 6+ months
They don't respond to emails 6+ months. Can't get brand new padlock to work it is still in the packet with instructions. Have emailed several times for help or claim under life time warranty but still no response.
No good for cold weather locations.
Don't buy/use on your garden shed in a Northern cold state or Canada. It's-08 C in Ontario and the lock/key is frozen. Can't use a torch as the lock is wrapped in vinyl. Can't cut it off because the bolt cutters are in the shed. Can't wrap a heater around the lock because the extension cords are in the shed. Injecting alcohol in the lock did not work.
UPDATE - Ok, the alcohol trick worked on the 2nd try.
Was a Poor experience, now resolved
Update: we now have a brand new lock from the company.
We bought a brand new master lock key safe. It’s screwed on a wooden outside door and the combination failed. Emailed company and they said take it back to screw fix. How can we when it’s screwed to an external door and will make a mess trying to get it off.
Stopped working and flimsy - expensive rubbish
Bought extra large external keysafe about one year ago for our community building. Like all other reviewers, the lock just stopped working. We put the right code in, turned it and nothing happened. Lost money through rentals. Worse though, our handyman took a crowbar to the keysafe to get it off the wall. Instead of coming of clean, the back of the safe broke in half and the keys fell out; this was after about 5 seconds with a standard crowbar. Having read the other reviews here I won't bother with contacting customer service. Please understand Masterlock that you've cost a community charity hundreds of pounds in lost revenue, but in a way, I'm pleased we found out how poorly constructed the product is ourselves so we can replace it before someone broke in.
The lifetime warranty is worthless!
I've owned one of their Street Cuff bike locks for about 20 years and a few years ago it stopped working. As I know their locks are supposed to have a lifetime warranty I thought no problem. I went into their website and raised a ticket and explained my problem but no response whatsoever!

Never again! Avoid buying these products, at least in Europe! There is no support. I purchased an LFW205FYC safe. It won't open. I opened at least 10 support tickets, but no one ever responded. Terrible company.
Master Lock push button key lockbox is useless
Master Lock advertise a hasp key lock box with push button entry. Pictures show it containing a key fob. Two problems.
1/ The actual depth of the box after the door is closed is 4/10ths of an inch. Too shallow for a key fob.
2/ The lock can be opened in less than 15 seconds without knowing the code beforehand. It’s absolutely useless and the marketing is fraudulent.
Simply unfit for purpose

The padlock seems solid enough but there the upsides end!.
The "information" printed on the packaging is tiny. Completely unreadable with the naked eye
Resetting the combination is one of the most complex things I have ever done on a lock
The rubber surround makes moving the numbers nearly impossible even with relatively thin fingers..I needed to get my daughter to do it and even she struggled
Then having reset the damned thing it worked once then refused to open

These are the worst “locks”. Don’t see them as locks, it’s more like a mechanism to close. It’s not locked! Very easy to pick, your stuff is not secure with these locks
