Low quality, cheap frame
The mat board and service were great! The $120+ frame was cheap at best… would’ve been better off getting one from Walmart for 1/3 of the price.

My mat was packaged exceptionally well
My mat was packaged exceptionally well. The only advice I can give is the agent helped me with the size based on my painting but it was 1/4 “ too small. I was able to make it work, however.

The frame and mat are great quality
The frame and mat are great quality. I don’t know if it was my measurements, but the mat opening was slightly bigger than my print. You can see a sliver of foam board on one side on each print.

A quick tip: the mat opening should always be slightly smaller than your artwork so it sits securely. If you entered the exact artwork size, that could be why a small sliver of foam is showing. We're more than happy to also assess together. Priority is always a perfect finished project.

Old school excellent customer service
After a little hiccup with my order, Matboard were immediately responsive and worked fast to fill my request. At a time when American customer service is often a quaint notion of the past, and more and more of it is being sent offshore to people who are less than helpful, Matboard are still providing an excellent product for a fair price with phenomenal support.

The film that is on the plexiglass is…
The film that is on the plexiglass is too difficult to get off. Just crazy after spending $350 on a frame and plexiglass that I have to spend hours getting the film off.

We’re sorry for the frustration — the protective film can definitely be tricky at times. It’s applied by the manufacturer to ensure optimum protection against scratches, dust, particles, and damage during transit, but we understand it can feel tedious to remove. A tip that often helps is gently warming a corner with a hairdryer and peeling back slowly at a low angle.
