Maui Motorhome Rentals - Melbourne Opiniões 

We rented the camper in Melbourne in the southern winter, immediately we had problems with water infiltration from an oblo that wetted the bed and blankets making it impossible to sleep!! Another oblo was missing a seal that let cold air in, especially during trips, it was cold in the back of the camper. They gave us incorrect information on delivery especially on the operation of the vehicle's battery, which does not recharge while driving, but only if you connect to the 240wolt current. So at night you can't warm up with the gas cylinder because the system doesn't have a hot air inverter if not with electricity. So two nights without being able to attack camping at 240wolt, we slept with 13 degrees!!! With an 8-year-old girl you realise that it was not easy.
The kitchen sink didn't drain the water, so to wash the dishes we had to use basins and empty them. The drawers didn't stay closed during the trip, so we had to take them apart every time we moved. The front door of the camper was broken, The mosquito net did not stay attached because a hook was broken and did not allow the front door to be closed. So in addition to the lack of safety, cold air entered both from stops and while travelling. Absolutely not recommended and even if on delivery, the assistance in Sydney was very kind and understanding, they offered us a refund that does not cover the cost of the two bungalows taken to not sleep in the camper in the cold with the bed wet, and the obligation to always use campsites to have hot water, hot air and the battery charged.

My camping van in Merlbourne was not one of the year and i paid for it. The reception was horrible : did you watch the video ?? no and then zero explanation. Oil was missing in the engine etc.....
I spend 6 weeks in NZ and 2 weeks for 2 camping van in Australia, paid may be 20 k and never again such a bad experience

It was a last minute decision. Pack your bags for van life and drive to the outback. We were so comfortable, day and night. My favourite part was parking somewhere for the night. Then opening the back door the next morning to incredible views; coffee was that much more special.

Great! The vehicle is in very good condition, staffs are very friendly and responsive!

Checking-in and drop off was seamless. Staff (Emma) explained thoroughly of the function and how to operate the caravan.

Worst experience ever before get the van was everything good after pick up the van nothing support or help we have no water for 5 days and block sing shower and basement and we book the van for 7 days
And from management help 0 (zero)
No return calls or email

People all very helpful. Vehicle and facilities that worked without issues. Replied to queries and doubts pre-booking fast and comprehensive, for first time caravan use. Paid more but meets expectations. Will use your company again next trip to Perth

We had an absolutely amazing time with our Maui rental. We collected it in Melbourne and did a road trip across Victoria taking in the Great Ocean Road and Phillip Island. We then enjoyed the beautiful and changing countryside of Victoria and NSW. We travelled thousands of kms and enjoyed some wonderful campsites along the way, especially Bimbi Park near Great Otway National Park where we slept ‘under the koalas’.

This was our first ever road trip and my first time of driving a motorhome. (In fact, the largest vehicle I have ever driven is an estate car). If I can do it, anyone can! It wasn’t as daunting as I thought it was going to be. I was advised to just use the side mirrors and you forget about the size. It worked! 😄

It was most certainly the adventure of a life-time and we visited so many more places than we would have otherwise. I made memories with my two daughters which will last forever.

The reason for four stars and not five stars is that whilst the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, there were far more customers than there were staff. This meant we had quite a wait to be allocated our motorhome and get on the road and this put us behind on our itinerary.

If you’re working on an extremely tight itinerary like we were, then factor in additional wait time so that your time is covered.

Have an amazing trip wherever you go. I’m sure you will have the most fantastic time and will make some forever memories of your own. 😄

Our experience was great due to the ease of booking our 6 berth “river “motor home , including the support we received along the way around Australia.
If we had an issue or enquiry, there was prompt response within minutes via the phone.
During our 3 month around Australia Trip of a lifetime, it was peace of mind to know if an issue arose, we could ring the Staff to accommodate any issues.

Our Maui rental location was easy to find and the vehicle was exactly as booked.

The staff at pick up were pleasant but lacked knowledge of the workings of the camper. The Maui camper itself was not worth the premium price as it's layout was identical to a cheaper Apollo of the same make. Maybe younger in age but a layout that lacked space and extras for the premium category. Disappointing. Will be doing much more research next time.

We got a technical problem with the camper (door lock broken) after 1 week. The customer support that we got from THL/maui was way below expectations. Eventually we had to find a solution ourselves (closing the door with some rope) for the remaining 10days. When bringing back the camper in Adelaide, the only comment I got from the THL /maui staff was that it must have been annoying and that the door will be fixed now (which to be honest was no longer our problem).

Wait time on pickup. No vanity in toilet/shower. Insufficient blankets for cold nights.

Overall we had a good experience. From picking up to dropping the motor home it was an easy process. However it would be easier to let customers know specifically what they need to do prior to returning the vehicle. The emails we received were
* you need to do this {but if you have opted for a package you dont have to do it}.
Its very confusing. This email sounds more generic. Why don't you have a custom email depending on the package customers opt for. After receiving that email we had to make couple of calls to confirm couple of things. It could easily be avoided. Other than that everything was good.

Easy to check in
Great induction on how to use everything in motorhome and drop of was a breeze.
The vehicle itself was great to drive with kids
Had all the luxury of kitchen , utensils 2 sleeping areas with bedding and air con/heater separate toilet and shower
Good size fridge and ample storage for 4 day getaway
