Firstly the upgrade to Britz, much appreciated. The vans are clean and comfy and we are always very happy dealing with THL. We had no major issues but our friends did and it was dealt with in a timely manner without too much drama.

We picked up a vehicle without air conditioning. We alerted the company within 15 minutes but we’re told to call road service who spent the next 7 days trying to get a repairer. We had to modify our trip because of this.

Tout a bien fonctionné, sauf le tuyau de gaz de la plancha extérieur qui était fendu.
L’équipement était bien complet.
Bon accueil de l’ équipe de Broome.
Une suggestion de mettre des jeux de serviettes de toilette et de taies d’oreiller de couleur différentes pour ne pas les mélanger entre les passagers.

We had an excellent vacation in the rig - it was just right for our family of six, and the process for pickup and drop off were very easy. The motorhome was well maintained and serviced, and we had no problems with it's operation. It was very affordable, and the staff took great care of us.

Waited an hour for our van to be ready, they admitted we had been overlooked.
Photos of the previous damages in the report for the van before she left were for a different van.
Gas hob stove top isolation switch did not work, therefore leaked gas when knobs we’re turned on or leant on by accident. Burner still a light when top closed. So dangerous.
Alarm on dash for multiple times, alarming that the cruise control and ABS were disabled.

Campervan was great apart from a faulty heater switch, and Apollo staff were great to deal with

Very clean campervan, good model.

Great experience. Would hire again! Clean well equipped vehicle and we had a great time.

Übergabe in Sydney:
•⁠ ⁠Wartezeit über 1 Stunde auf das richtige Fahrzeug
•⁠ ⁠Statt des gebuchten „Euro Mini" wurde uns zuerst ein anderer, deutlich längerer Maui angeboten
•⁠ ⁠Als Campingstuhl: ein Kinderstuhl, unbrauchbar für einen großen Erwachsenen
•⁠ ⁠GASFLASCHE WAR GEÖFFNET vor der Abfahrt – ein gravierendes Sicherheitsproblem, wurde nicht geprüft
•⁠ ⁠Trittstufe defekt (Verletzungsgefahr beim Ein- und Aussteigen)

Zustand des Fahrzeugs:
•⁠ ⁠Toilette stark verschmutzt, ekelhafter Geruch – wir mussten Reinigungsspray kaufen und selbst putzen
•⁠ ⁠Tisch dreckig, von uns gereinigt
•⁠ ⁠Vorhänge eklig verschmutzt, der hintere Vorhang kaputt
•⁠ ⁠Windschutzscheibe innen extrem verschmiert, Sicht bei Sonne kaum möglich, Scheibenwischer machten es noch schlimmer
•⁠ ⁠Außen viele Kratzer, Fahrzeug wirkte heruntergekommen

Während der Reise:
•⁠ ⁠Hecktür ließ sich nicht mehr öffnen
•⁠ ⁠Beim vorgeschlagenen „Trick" zum Öffnen brach der Türgriff ab
•⁠ ⁠In Brisbane wurden wir nach den Reiseplänen gefragt, um die Mängel zu "beheben" – Rückmeldung kam erst, als wir längst weitergereist waren
•⁠ ⁠In Cairns wurden wir vor Ort komplett abgewiesen und wir haben keine Entschädigung o.ä. erhalten

Die Kommunikation per E-Mail war zäh, ausweichend und auf Entschädigung wurde stets auf „die nächste Filiale" oder „beim Drop-Off" verwiesen. Niemand fühlte sich zuständig.

Für eine mehrwöchige Australien-Reise, auf die man lange gespart und sich gefreut hat, eine Katastrophe. Klare Empfehlung: woanders buchen.

We had a pretty good experience, and would probably rent through Apollo/THL again. We were happy with the size of our camper, and everything was operations inside the RV. We had plenty of pillows and blankets, and the electric heater was an absolute necessity since the built-in heat only runs for 2 hours (and then has to be off for at least 10 minutes to turn back on). However, the RV had been in an obvious accident (in 2024 according to the paperwork I received after pick up), and most of it was just left as-is or patched with duct tape. Based on the high cost of renting this vehicle, I would have expected to have one that wasn't damaged. It didn't help that the drivers side mirror literally FELL OFF one day and we had to fix it ourselves. The best part of renting here was that there was a 'community kitchen' where we could pick up or leave items (think spices, some condiments, tin foil, etc) to avoid throwing things away. Also, be aware that even when the facility is very empty (like only 2 other couples present), it will take at least an hour to pick up your RV.

Bei der Uebernahme konnten wir die Türe der Aufsetzer Kabine nicht abschliessen. Das Schloss musste ausgetauscht werden. Nach 1 Tag fahren stellten wir fest, dass alle Pneu viel zu wenig Luft hatten. Die Bremsen quitschten jedes Mal fürchterlich und innen war das Fahrzeug auch sehr laut. Nach 1 Woche regnete es und es regnete in die Kabine rein. Deshalb haben wir in einem Roadhouse übernachtet. Am nächsten Morgen wollten wir wegfahren und konnten die Kabinentüre nicht mehr öffnen. Ein Mechaniker des Roadhouses musste die Türe aufmachen (Schloss wegnehmen und wieder anschrauben). Apollo hatten wir angerufen, jedoch konnte uns niemand helfen. Wir hatten vor 7 Jahren das gleiche Fahrzeug, allerdings einen Toyota und keinen Nissan. Mit dem Toyota waren wir super zufrieden, mit dem Nissan überhaupt nicht. Nie mehr werden wir einen Apollo Camper mieten.

Die Abholung des Campers in Cairns war angenehm und ging ohne Wartezeit, die Rückgabe ebenso. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Wir bekamen eine ausführliche Einführung in die wichtigsten Funktionen des Campers. Auf Anfrage erhielten wir auch eine zusätzliche Decke und Kissen. Einziger Minuspunkt: der Griff des Kühlschranks war etwas defekt; das wurde zunächst wieder befestigt, war aber nach kurzer Zeit wieder defekt. Sonst alles bestens.

The motorhome did everything we expected and needed. We had everything we needed and got to travel to a lot of places, stopping when we felt like it and having everything on board.
Staff when we picked it up and dropped it off were very helpful and made sure we made the most of the facilities it had. Loved it

The Hobart crew was very professional and helpful at pick-up and drop-off.

Our entire experience with Apollo was simple and easy. Booking online was very straightforward with all the information you need available on their website. When we arrived at the Hobart depot to collect our Camper it was quick, efficient and we were on our way in time.

worst time table of drop off. Come on, Its a big company and you can’t been provide late drop off at least till 8pm. Shame ruined whole trip moment at last day by making me pay extra day even after i dropped the van in first hour. Worst time for drop off, need to expand drop off time. Really ruined my whole trip in last day.

Good service and nice explanation.

Company is fine, van a little small. Useful to find out whether we could get away with buying a camper or should we go for a caravan.

They were very helpful in answering all their questions. The pick up and drop off were very smooth. The staff were very helpful and knew what they were doing. Our trip had no issues at all. Everything worked smoothly. Highly recommended.
