Mavis Tire - Port Chester Opiniões 9

Brought my car in for a NYS inspection. Was informed the car would not pass inspection due to the breaks. I was told the rear breaks were shot and the front breaks were on the verge of going. Mavis is not my regular inspection location. After a $500 plus break work. I went to my regular mechanic (not Mavis) for an oil change. Did not mention anything about the break work. He mentioned that he noticed a cap related to the breaks was not replaced and break fluid needed to be replaced due to the cap not being replaced. He further went on to say that unless there was sound of metal on metal, the break job was likely unnecessary. Very very disappointed and will not return to Mavis. Why can't people be honest? I feel taken advantage of.

Absolute swindle , I needed NYS inspection and have been going there for over 10 years so I dropped it to get an inspection. They failed my car for worn cracked tires, I was sure the tire were OK so I went to my auto mechanic. He laughed out loud when he heard my story of woe and saw my tires. He pulled out a gauge and checked right in front of me all tires were in the green and good. Here’s the thing you fail NYS for safety there is no grace period and Mavis removed the inspection sticker from the windshield and sent a report to DMV you are at their mercy and they cannot be trusted

I had a horrible experience at this location. I pulled in with a slow leak in one tire asked if they could check it out. I purchased all four tires from Mavis. 10 minutes later I get a phone call saying that all four of my tires are dry rotted and I need four new tires which will cost $750+. I called my husband and he said no way there's nothing wrong with your tires. I didn't have new tires put on and the a-hole wouldn't even fill up my tire so I could get home safely 😕. Went to my mechanic at a local tire shop and sure enough all I needed was a plug. WOMEN BEWARE!!?

The worse don’t ever go there . Took my car for inspection everything was working lights brakes etc and just because a midday day was not working ( which most cars don’t even have or use) decided to not pass my inspection and even worse they took my old inspection out even before they finished inspected my car, just wasted my time going there so friends stay away from Mavis

Provided immediate service and completed work in less time than anticipated. Personnel were personable and helpful.

Mavis in Port Chester has a well run team. Knowledgeable, professional, welcoming, good communicators, efficient, and just a pleasure.
Suspecting something not right with my tire I just stopped in to see if they could help. The manager set the tone for great customer service which didn't waver as they evaluated, communicated, fixed the large screw in my 6 month old tire and handed me my keys. Thank goodness I opted for the road hazard coverage. No charge for anything.
This Mavis in Port Chester will be my go to place for my car. 30 minute drive is worth it. Thanks Port Chester Mavis for getting it right!
